I hired Jose JRM Carpentry Company LLC. to replace the rotten wood on the corner of the house it had water damage he pulled all the clapboard off the house he said it was not savable. I was paying 55 dollars an hour per man he said it would be 2 men but he added one the first week the labor bill was 6,600 dollars and the proceeding weeks were much higher one being $11,000 I was also was pay for all the materials. He said it would cost between 35,000 to 45,000 to replace the clapboard and windows . What happened is in the process he ripped all the clapboard . In the in 9 weeks that he worked the labor costs have been over 68.000 The material costs have been over 35,000 some of which he paid and I reimbursed him and some that I paid myself. I live in New Jersey Upon some review of the receipts there is a sawzall , which is a tool, some sort of ********* tool and other ,plumbing etc when I question him about it all he kept saying is that I bought nails and wood when I returned to ******* He had damaged the cedar shake roof in the front on both sides. It took me forever, texting him back-and-forth and finally speaking to him on the phone before he took responsibility for the damage of the he wants to be paid for the materials that he says I owe him in the balance of about $5000, one of problems itemize all the receipts and explain what they were for and he refuses to do that. I have asked him an estimated time for finishing the siding and putting in the windows . I have not been givien any estimate . Another problem now is I have a damaged cedar sake the shake roof is damaged and it has not been fixed. He does not give me his insurance and I need to have it he says that between him and his insurance. . At this point, I need the material cost to be resolved I need the insurance to fix the cedar shake roof I have spent almost $100,000 and the sliding is only up 10 percent and 13 windows are not in. he is the only one that worked on the house.
