1 starSigned up in January 2024 after reading a news article in the local newspaper. Arcadia stated that it could take up to 6 months to be placed on a local solar farm. After several calls to customer service, after 6 months. No one could answer me when my account would be assigned to a solar farm. I then noticed my electric bill didn't get paid this month, even though I have a monthly direct payment set up with Arcadia. **************** said that my electric company no longer takes payments from Arcadia, and I should have received an email. I never received an email from Arcadia. I also asked customer service, it's been over a year, and I still don't have any idea when my account will be assigned to a solar farm, so how much longer do I have to wait? They responded that the solar farm in my area is still under construction and there's no available timeline when it will be finished. I canceled my account after hearing that response.Review fromChasity M

1 starThis company is pure fraud. I cancelled my business with them over a year ago and have had no problems with my power company, and all of a sudden sometimes between 03/05 and today (03/21), this company somehow got into my power company online account, changed my e-mail to one of their e-mails and changed my security settings, and locked me out. I'm worried as to what information in my account they may have gotten ahold of and what they're doing with it. I called my power company to try to regain access to my account, but because of the changes to my online account ********************** made without my consent or me even giving them my login information (which essentially means they somehow hacked into my account), they could not revert my account's settings and grant me access again. They had to deactivate my online account and now I have to go through a process to try to create a new one and hope these people weren't able to steal any of my vital personal information. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.Review fromCAITLIN M

1 starTotal scam. Continually charging me for bills that are for an apartment from nearly three years ago. I provided all the termination paperwork requested, but they're still charging my email each month, even after I have it In writing that we terminated services years ago. Total scam, terrible customer service. It's a lie on the brochure that you can "easily cancel any time." Lies, all lies.Review fromKimberly J

1 starArcadia energy scams the elderly people to sign up for their programs. This is not recognized by **** in **********. The bill for my mom was ***** and one week later it was *****. Im trying to cancel it for her. They should have any future funding taken away from them for having elderly people sign up for something that they dont explain in full detailReview fromStephanie P

1 starThey tell you can keep budget billing to get you to sign up but then you bill fluctuates by several $100 dollars each month. They also cannot explain their own billing statements. When I cancelled in mid September they told me it would take 3 months to finalize the cancelation. I was billed and auto charged all the way to the first week of Jauary. I then paid ************* and thought I was all set as I had an email from Arcadia dated in December stating they would no longer be billing me. I received an email from Arcadia advising me of an auto payment from my account was scheduled for March 7th for close to $800.00. I told them to bill me with a breakdown of the charge and that they do not have my permission to charge my card on file. I have a feeling I am going to have to dispute the charge on the 7th.Review fromRachel M

2 starsI was a happy customer of ********************** for 6+ years; however, they messed up beyond comprehension and I want to STRONGLY discourage anyone from trusting their automatic payment service. In order to enroll in automatic payments, you need to change the email address on your electric account to one of theirs so that they can process your payments. This worked fine for us for many years. Last night I was reviewing our budget and realized that we were not being billed for electric. We have solar panels and usually have a credit that we use for part of the winter, so this didn't flag for a few months. I realized that we had not been billed at all since September, and we had a significantly past due balance of almost $1000 with our electric company, putting us at risk of having our service shut off, and reflecting a poor payment history on our account. I checked my ********************** account and saw that autopay was still enabled. I checked my electric account and saw that the email address for billing was still Arcadia's email. Somehow Arcadia failed to process payments for our account for 5 months, and provided us with absolutely NO notice that our payments weren't being processed. Additionally, because Arcadia has you change the billing email on your electric account to theirs, we were receiving no notice from our electric company that we had an increasing past due balance -- I confirmed with my electric company that these past due notices were being sent to Arcadia directly and again, no one reached out to us. Arcadia has apologized for this "system error" but I am absolutely appalled. I will no longer trust this company, after being an Arcadia advocate for years. Additionally, when I requested to unenroll from their service, they stated it would take 90 days and that they would still be responsible for my billing until that time frame was complete. Absolutely ridiculous to tell me to trust them an additional 3 months when they failed to process my payments for 5 already!Review fromNicole P

1 starGot a letter from them confirming my enrollment in their solar power program. The thing is, I never signed up for it so it was done fraudulently. Called to cancel, was told it takes 90 days. How the h*** did they get my info? Con artist criminal trash company. I would leave a zero if it were possible.Review fromBarry M

Absolutely atrocious. Arcadia has been billing me the same amount that National Grid has been billing me. I called National Grid and they stated that Arcadia should NEVER be directly billing me and has been charging me fraudulently. National Grid has Arcadia conduct and internal investigation with their billing department and found I had been overcharged by them by $140. I will be submitting a report to the ************************ for them to conduct a formal investigation into this busiess further because this is unacceptable. Oh, and by the way, Arcadia claims, youll receive great savings by signing up with us! In the 8 months since weve been signed up with them, weve saved $8. Also, as instructed by National Grid, we canceled with Arcadia and they apparently have a 3-month cancellation timeframe. So, for the next 3 months, Im going to be worrying that theyre overcharging me yet again.Arcadia Power, Inc.

Hi *****, were so sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with Arcadia. Arcadia never manages any of your energy decisions unless you voluntarily sign up for our services. We always send you confirmation emails upon successful sign-up and notify you of programs youre enrolled in. You also have the option to opt out of any program at any time. Were sorry that it sounds like our services werent clear. This timeline accounts for your accounts specific billing cycle, as well as the amount of time it actually takes for the utility to cease applying solar savings to your account. 1 starI wanted to support solar power while saving at the same time. I signed up two years ago, and saw no savings. Then suddenly in August 2024, they deducted 5 times my electric bill from my checking account! They never told me the solar farm went live or sent me any notice or explanation. When I called to cancel, they told me it would take six months and that I still owed them money!I immediately changed my email address back to mine rather than theirs on my electric account. Then I stopped payment from any deductions from my checking account by them. Worth the $30 fee. Two days later, an Arcadia supervisor called me. I could not understand what she was saying but I let her have it and told her I was reporting them to the ******************************. She said she would waive the six month cancellation policy and close my account. I told her good riddance!
