    My car was in an accident and needed body work/repair. I towed it to this company that was referred to me. They assured me they could complete the work on estimate/invoice as they had a mechanic on site. They were aware of the kind of car I owned **** **). On the way home after leaving shop on 9/14/22, the transmission leaked fluid, car became inoperable and transmission was eventually determined to be unrepairable. The diagnosis I got from three other mechanics was that when they installed the radiator/support, the transmission line was affected thereby causing the leak because on my vehicle they are connected somehow. Also, the paint job was not close enough to the original color of the vehicle. I am requesting the $1732 for transmission repair. They offered to redo paint job, however, I am no longer comfortable taking car there. This amount does not include the paint repair or my out of pocket expenses for towing ($100), 3 auto repair diagnoses ($200), and transmission line parts/repair ($600).

     Dear Representative BBB

    We received this letter from BBB about a customer asking for a refund on transmission leakage that wasn't occurred from our bodywork

    First, we received a call from ************ asking if we work on ***S for bodywork. I responded with yes, we work on ****** She towed her *** to our location (1801B Adams St NE), and we gave her an estimate with our parts. She said it was too expensive where she would provide us with her own parts and all we would do is labor. The only part we bought on her behalf was a radiator support that she couldn't find aftermarket. She provided us with only used aftermarket parts that we don't offer any warranty on. When she took the car from us, her car broke down after 10-15 minutes and didn't bring the car back to us. The parts she provided in the beginning had nothing to do with mechanical, it was all bodywork.

    If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone.

    Sincerely,
    ******************;

    Are you saying I can not post a response to their response? I would like it on the record:

    The parts I supplied have nothing to do with the complaint. Please explain as I have to this business (and consumers need to know) that in completing the work, their mechanic did something to cause the transmission line to fail when installing the radiator parts--that is most likely because they did not know how to work on BMWs as they claimed. False advertisement cost me well over $1700 to resolve new issues created by them. They are not taking responsibility for the new issues they caused me.
