On Aug 4 I purchased an online Math test. I started my test way after my original time, approx 9pm and my time was at 8:15pm the first agent xouldnt hear me and I was given circle time for at least 40 min finally was accepted to start. On my second question of the test I asked a question and was told no I cant use a calculator. I said ok never got up nor wemt to get one. On my third question the agent started to demand I show my desktop with my messed up camera that everytime I move it the visual goes away. I explained that if I move it it can go away and Im on a time count. I need to concentrate and not waste time. But the agent ignored me and I decided to quit because I cant take a test like that. That was awful and cringing. I decided to take it from home to be comfortable because I suffer from Adhd and at the center I hear every noise . I quickly sent Ged. Com an email to refund support team and was told to call I called on Monday and no one never came on the phone sent another email and was told again to call. Finally called and the agent wasnt helpful at all she put me on hold for over 15 min and disconnected on purpose. Never got a call back. Sent another email again playing games with me and I replied I want my refund and provoded order number and still to today's date no one has replied. They're the cause if I cant schedule my classes by these SatBusiness Response

Based on the notes collected by ***** Proctor, the Test Taker was unable to clearly display her desk which we state is required at the onset of the online testing event. Having a handheld calculator is also a violation as it can store data that may give them an unfair advantage. The Proctor has the right if they question the surrounding test area to ensure that no writing, recording devices or 3rd parties are present for the exam. The exam was correctly revoked if the candidate refused to comply with this request. GED Testing Service will not be taking any further action on this matter at this time. It's obvious GED doesnt take responsibility for the facts that I have provided. Not only did I start 1 hour after the scheduled time but I was inturrupted with false allegation not letting ******* proceed to the second question. I have disputed the charge and my bank will not pay for a srvice that, that should have started at the time stated and further more not even surrendering the services paid for. Making false allegation with No proof is Defamation.

Over 2 years ago, prior to COVID I scheduled all 5 tests through GED.com and paid for all of them. At the time I was with a boyfriend whom I had a bank account with. His name was Primary and mine secondary. The card I used had his name on it. Then COVID hit and everything shut down for over a year. Once everything opened back up I did not have the free time to take the tests I needed to so I had to keep rescheduling them. Also, since then the boyfriend and I broke up, closed joint bank account and moved residence. Upon calling to just cancel and receive a refund first I was told I needed to go to the old bank and get a temporary card which isn't possible, then I was told that I have to reach out to said ex-boyfriend to get his card number for the refund (which he will not give me the funds if it goes to his bank account) or receive a voucher that I will not use because I do not want the services anymore. I'm being told that there is nothing else that can be done even though the request for services was in my name, I am being denied a refund.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because the matter was not resolved at all. You cannot refund a card that is no longer active. What legality reasons are there? A business cannot keep money when there were not services rendered.

I already took and my passed all my GED tests, however I did so on different accounts. I have submitted a request to merge these accounts, and I was told it would take five days. It has been five days since I was told this and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. I need my results to be on one account so I can get my diploma. I need my diploma in order to fill out some VERY important legal documents. I reached out to customer service again and was told they had no time estimate for when this would get done and they were completely unwilling to help me any further even after I told them about my extenuating circumstances. I’m now filing with the BBB in order to get my case escalated. I really need this to be resolved as soon as possible.Business Response

I took exam on April 15th. Two weeks have been passed. I had to call several times and wrote many emails. They keep lying and still did not release exam results. Should return my money/give me opportunity to take exam again/ or release exam results ASAP.Business Response

My company just paid yall over $400 for you to help me attain my GED, I am over 40yrs old and trying to take the pre practice tests to see where I place an how much studying I need to do. So today, after years of pain/tears/and trying to get this done I'm actually trying once again. For someone that is 40 and was never taught how to use C instead of F it is EXTREMELY challenging, so today I'm studying the Science section because your site says it's the easiest to do and get back into the groove of things. After doing some studying on it as y'all have set up, I was ready to take the Science 10 question Practice test, when I get to Q4 there is a problem and I don't understand why I got the question wrong or why? It didn't say I could use a calculator so I didn't (we got expelled for not following rules in school) and Q4 asks what is the "average bone density" using the chart, so in my head I added then divided and my answer wasn't on the list. So i just selected one and it was obviously wrong and I didn't know why......then I see a pop up box "ask us anything we're here to help":***** didn't read my question Took 2-3min to give smart "I can't help you" answers.He said he's only there to schedule tests/retests?I repeated my question because it's a practice test, not an actual one...hello!Why is there no help? Your fees' have been paid?I'm over 40yrs old and don't have time for smart*ss people giving flaky fake answers just to get onto the next one or play with his video games, come on GED!!!I'm NOT ONE TO PLAY GAMES i just want to pass this test where's the help?The chat bot box says "Ask us anything" not "ask us anything only about scheduling".I simply want to pass this, but I can't move on until I understand Science Practice Test Question #4.....hopefully I don't have to make a BBB complaint for everything I have a question for, but if ****** your only smart*ss employee get ready for more!****Customer Answer

I am a seventeen-year-old currently trying to complete my GED tests. During my third test, I was told before starting that I needed an adult's I.D., as well as verbal confirmation from an adult, in order to progress with the test. I had not been asked this for my prior two tests, and my parents were not home at the time, so I was forced to sit on the testing screen with the proctor (who barely spoke English) until my mother returned home. If you think the English comment seems out of place, please note that I have difficulty communicating and understanding anything that is not spoken clearly. During my initial attempt to complete the Language Arts test, I was told that the proctor could not see my webcam, even though I could see my webcam clearly and there was no issue with my Wi-Fi. The proctor told me to restart my Wi-Fi router, which I did, and after several minutes I returned to the testing screen, where they again complained that they could not see me. I then restarted my Wi-Fi router two more times, and after a third suggestion to restart the router, I told the proctor (who also barely spoke English) that I would not be doing that. He then told me that the issue was still with my Wi-Fi, and got rather upset with me. At this point, I was panicking, and I called my parents in because my father works in I.T. and I thought he may have a solution, but he likewise determined that the issue is not with our Wi-Fi. The proctor then told me to refrain from using profanity (I had not used any sort of profanity whatsoever). I then tried to schedule the test again, but was told that there were no proctors available. I tried to schedule in-person, but was sick and could not make it to the testing center. Now, I am unable to schedule my test online because of previous cancellations, and the chat support agents are both incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional. I cannot express the anger and disappointment I feel about the way this entire situation is being handled. Do better.Business Response

NCS *******, *** is the parent company of both entities. GED Testing Service is the owner of the well-known *** test, the four-subject high school equivalency exam that is nationally and internationally accepted by colleges and employers. Individuals must pass each of the four (4) content area tests with a score of ************************************************************************************************************************* which they achieved the passing scores on all four tests (*** Diploma).
This student has since credentialed via the same *** exam delivery date as reported in this complaint. The student became 18 years old in July of ***************************************************************************************** age waiver. It is policy to require a minor to have a guardian present at check in. If student disclosed, they were under 18 at the time of scheduling, then this requirement would have been managed by the Greeter.
As reported by Greeter, there were several technical issues reported preventing Greeter from viewing student during this test event as well as repeated attempts to troubleshoot. It is unclear if the issue was on ******* or student's side. The exam was cancelled and testing fees were credited to their account. There are limited seats available so unfortunately, they could not reschedule immediately.
Fortunately, the student was able to schedule 2 weeks later and was successful.

I do not feel as though my qualms were taken into consideration. I was not told that me being under 18 at the time I was an issue, and the technical issues were indeed on *******s side. The communication was almost nonexistent throughout the entire ordeal.
