I have purchased the BET+ app on yesterday Sept 14th 2023. The app opens and no items via movies or shows will play. I get an error message for all items I click on."SORRY, THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOUND OR NO LONGER AVAILABLE DUE TO DATE OR RIGHTS RESTRICTIONS" At first I thought it may have been some type of delay being a new customer. As of today Sept 15th 2023, I get the same message. I have been trying to contact someone at BET since yesterday and this morning to no avail. All numbers direct you to a non working number or hangs up. I have sent emails via the [email protected] email on the app as well has through the contact us on the website. I am currently on day 2 of my 7 day free trial. However, if I can't watch anything, my trial is useless and and does not make me feel comfortable in the service. I really need to speak to someone. I have attempted to us the service on 2 separate firesticks that are on 2 separate tvs. Both sticks are up to date and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on both and the error still exists. I attempted to try the website and the actual bet.plus website actually works. That further means there is an issue with the app. However, I purchased the app to watch TV on my TV, not on a 6" phone screen which further ruins my eyesight.Initial Complaint

The BET plus app doesn't work on *** ******, **** television, ****, **** **********, or *** desk top computer. No one is willing to help. This issue has been going in since February 2023. I am not the only one with the issue. No resolution has been made yet.Initial Complaint

On 7/14/2023, BET+ charged my debit card $9.99 for a subscription I had no knowledge of. I contacted the customer service line in an attempt to stop further charges and explained that I had no idea where the charge originated from, I was instructed to send an email with the last 4 digits of card charged, zip code, exact amount charged, date of charge along with a photo of the charge, which I supplied. I received several replies that they were unable to locate the charge or the account that was charged, to expect additional charges while they investigate. I replied with another email that they will not continue to charge my card and that I would rectify the situation with the BBB. At that point, I received an email that the issue was being escalated. I have yet to receive a response, I am requesting a refund and removal of my financial information off their site.Initial Complaint

BET(Black entertainment television) took 9.99 out of my checking account on July 10. You cannot contact them by phone but are directed to an email. I sent the information stating I did not have an account with BET and never have. They said they could not see an account and wanted me to send them all of my banking information, account info and expiration dates etc. which I refused to do. Never got to speak with anyone and they say they cannot help without all of my banking info. They asked for a screenshot and I did send that ( without any personal info) to prove they took the money but that still was not enough. They have my email and address they should have been able to find anything they needed with that and see I do not have an account with them. Refund the money and take me out of their system. I had to cancel my bankcard to prevent future withdrawals.Initial Complaint

I purchased or subscribe to a member shut last month (June 2023), and haven’t been able to use the account since purchased, I’ve contacted customer service multiple times yet I was charge for an account I can’t not use and keep being told they be right with me, this was last month. I continue to keep sending emails, and keeping be told they are working on it. I’ve requested to speak with management, nothing, request a refund or something, nothing has been done. This do not make us want to continue service with any company that keeps telling us they will help us and it has now been 3 weeks of no resolution, no escalation to management, to mediation. This is absurd! I should get my money back for the months I haven’t been able to use this. That would be June, and you then charged me again for July when the issue was never resolved!Initial Complaint

I’m being bill $9.99 for a BET plus subscription that I didn’t sign up for. I finally got a respond and sent over all the docs shows my bank statement with charges. The customer service department keeps sending emails asking for my card information but have yet to refund me and cancel this fraudulent subscription. I would like my refund and my card to be removed off file. It will cost me $35 with my bank to stop the charges and that’s not fair. They won’t call me they keep sending emails asking for my card number when I’ve sent them docs and pics of everythingInitial Complaint

I have a subscription with BET +. I recently paid for my subscription on March 4, 2023 which is for the following period March 4, 2023 - April 4, 2023. I tried accessing my BET + account on March 25, 2023 and had no access. I reached out to BET + customer service on March 25, 2023 to see what was going on with my account. I am being told that my account was canceled on March 24, 2023. My subscription is paid for until April 4, 2023 so my subscription should not be canceled. BET + will not reinstate my subscription. Someone stole my credit card information and subscribed to BET+ with it. I've been getting charged for 5 months. I got my previous card cancelled but BET+ continues to charge to it and won't cancel the subscription because I am unable to provide them with the old card data.Initial Complaint

I opted into BET free 30 day trial period mid August 2022. I noticed the platform wasnt working properly and there was many shows that I dont watch so by October 2022, I cancelled the subscription. The BET service is charged $9.99 monthly after the free trial ends. My minor child card has been illegally charged $9.99 monthly since the cancellation of BET in October. I deleted the app and didnt receive any service after the cancellation. She has her card on ****** and this is how BET was able to repeatedly withdraw funds on a monthly basis. The BET associates should have been able to see the service wasnt in usage and had been cancelled, they sent a confirmation email. I have reached out to the company about this issue still awaiting a resolution. I never authorized the charges and to my understanding cancellation of BET service occurred in October 2022. On 1/21/23, I learned that BET has collected 3-4 months of unauthorized charges for service that was canceled several months ago.Initial Complaint
