The first time I took my son to this daycare, a teacher asked me if he was autistic and I said no. She went on to say I should not be ashamed, that autism is not as bad as I think. I told her my son doesn’t have any diagnosis so I can’t put a label on him. I asked her why she had asked that question and she said because he didn’t eat nor play with the others and because I told them he hadn’t been potty trained. I let that slide and did not report this to the director. My son later went on to have an injury on his index finger and no one wrote to me until I went there to pick him up and his teacher said she was just about to send me an email. A month later, I went there to pick my son up after work and he was bleeding close to his eyelid and no one had sent me any email or called me. The director then went ahead to recommend two schools for us to try for my son since he wasn’t eating at the daycare and when I got home, I googled and found out those schools are for autistic kids. Now, I have nothing against autism or people who are on the spectrum but a director of a daycare has no right to directly or indirectly diagnose kids so I do not appreciate that. The director didn’t show any sense or concern. She just want to label my son so that they wouldn’t have any blames. She’s not a doctor. My son’s diapers was always wet and snot on his entire face. The kids were always crying when I would go there to pick my son up and nothing was done. I immediately put in a withdrawal notice and now they are denying to refund my initial deposit. I want my deposit because I gave them 10 days notice. 6/4-6/14. Moreover, no one ever told me I would have to give a two weeks notice. They had said that initial deposit will be used to pay last week of tuition but I had already paid for that last week so I wonder why they don’t want to give me my refund. I need my money back
