    My husband and I recently went to Rios and had a 2018 focus with no issues low mileage no issues only 1 owner. We needed something bigger due to having a baby. They guaranteed us that which ever suv we got would be in great shape. We ended up getting a 2016 equinox. I'm a Ford girl but really fell for my vehicle. Within 2 weeks I felt a vibration when turning. Took it back (1 hr drive each way) they said they couldn't find the issues so they put new brakes and rotors on there. The issues got worst and finally took it back and they had my vehicle for almost 3 weeks said it was my transfer case and wanted me to remove my traction control and back drive shaft and that would help the truck drive better. It's the cheapest and quickest way to get my truck back. But we had to sign a paper. The next day my husband called the warranty company. They informed us that will void our warranty. After Rios found out the owner called my husband mad and told us to come get the car that since we called warranty they don't want to deal with it. We drove it an hour to a chevy dealership to only find out they didn't replace any fluid after putting things back together and they drive actually burnt up some of my gears. Chevy proceeded to inform us it looked like someone did it intentionally to get repairs covered. Please be aware when going here it's not the best place to go. I am terrified to drive my baby in my vehicle until it's fully fixed. I'm going on almost a month with no vehicle and we just got this vehicle in February.

    Michael ******** (husband of Sara ********) purchased a 2016 Chevy Equinox from Rio Motors on 1/28/22. The vehicle was sold AS IS, WHERE IT IS, with the right to purchase a warranty. A 2 year, 24000 mile Wynn's Plus warranty was purchased at the time of sale. The customer signed the warranty contract and was fully aware that if any problems arose, that were not covered under the warranty, that they would have to pay for them out of pocket. They obliged, and signed the warranty contract. Furthermore, Rio Motors signed a "WE OWE" document stating if anything were to be promised to the customer at the time of sale. There were no known issues discussed or promised. The customers test drove the vehicle before the purchase and were well aware of the condition of the vehicle. When the customers contacted Rio Motors with their problem, we did our best to diagnose the issue as quickly as possible. We tried to provide multiple solutions in order resolve the issue. Rio Motors spent countless hours trying to diagnose and fix the problem. These hours accumulated into over $1500 in labor. The customer was not asked to pay a dime for these. After providing numerous ways to resolve the issue, the customer did not agree with any of them. Although the vehicle was sold AS IS, except for what the warranty covered, we tried to go above and beyond to remedy the situation. We do not feel we are at fault because the vehicle was sold used, as is, with a warranty, and no preexisting conditions. We cannot predict what happens to a mechanical object that involves thousands of moving parts. This was a transparent sales transaction that was agreed on by both parties, with everything disclosed at the time of sale.
