  I have noticed Capstone receiving lesser stars in the past. Not my experience at all… Recognize the “Complainers” are much more likely to post a negative review. I recently bought a Capstone townhome in Flagstaff and i could not be happier or more satisfied with delivery of a near perfect dwelling and quite rapid response and solution of minor complaints. I had a Home Inspection performed prior to closing and Harris, Supervisor, resolved issues promptly and at or even well above my expectations. Subsequent to closing, Paul, has been remarkable in responding and resolving minor issues presented. BRAVO Capstone! Keep up the great work! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Capstone home… Keith Haar MD

  Bought a capstone home. Fairly good quality build. Wonderful folks until they have your money. At that point good luck trying to get them to honor legitimate warranty issues.

  Once they have your money then you get kicked to the curb. Their warranty for one year is a joke. I was told on a problem that since I didn't catch it on my walkthrough they aren't going to fix it WTF is the use of a one year warranty if this is the response you get with a big issue. My neighbors call all the Capstone homes in our development Crapstone homes as pretty much everyone here that had them build their home has issues that NEVER got fixed

We are proud of each and every home we build and do our best to provide exceptional service. Our records show you settled on your home in March 2020 which is a little over four years ago. The warranty we provide for our homes is very detailed, specific and a terrific new home warranty program. If a concern is covered by our warranty it will be addressed. We stand behind our new homes and quality construction. In any home there will be routine maintenance and care needed that we do our best to explain in detail and our warranty / customer care team is always available to provide assistance. We never like to hear that customers are having concerns with their home but over time it is completely normal to have routine maintenance.   Love our Capstone Home! I recommend Capstone Homes! Our story began August 2019 when I found the Juliet model online and called their salesperson Jon Louden who met us at a Juliet in our neighborhood that was just about finished so we could see it! I loved it and got all of the information and advised Jon we were not ready yet, but promised we would call when we could proceed. Fast forward to spring 2020 and the pandemic when homes in my neighborhood skyrocketed! We saw another model in Bay Pines and met with Jon again and put our plan into full gear and staged and sold my house in a day! Put my life into PODs and in August 2020 signed for our new house with Capstone! Our construction started in January 2021 and it was so exciting to see my dream framed up! From start to finish our process with Capstone was great! I could reach out to our team Jon ******, Mark ********* Natasha ******* and always received responses. I also had contact with our site supervisor Ian ******* and he was always very helpful. We also commend and enjoyed working with their suppliers Larry at LL Flooring, Kurt at Cabinetry Unlimited, Daniel at Guardian and Valerie at Coastal Countertops (That Granite Place). They were all fantastic! Our home was built in the middle of the pandemic and though there were supply chain issues our home was completed in October 2021. We had a few little bumps in the road and though it took a little time Capstone took care of everything! I want to send a special thank you to Jake ***** for his attention to our home, Jim ********* who came out to our house a few times to ensure items were handled, Al ******** who took care of the final items! I remember seeing the Capstone Commercial and dreaming about my house and now I am living the Capstone dream!

  Buyer Beware, RUN don’t walk!! There are plenty of ethical, quality builders to choose from. Don’t put down any deposits unless you know 100% you will build with capstone or they WILL keep the money (because (quote from salesperson): we need to penalize our customers or they will walk all over us). Read the reviews!!! We did, and although they sent up large red flags, we chose to ignore and regret that decision now. The contract you sign states the deposit is non refundable if you default, but we have spoken with multiple builders during and since dealing with capstone and every one of them is appalled a company would keep $10,000 deposit when neither Final price, drafted plan, or any permitting/lot work has been completed. Yes, they are legally right to keep the $10,000, but ethically why would they when minimal work (other than pricing) has been done. They feel justified because they spent time pricing items and drafting from an existing plan they own. Completely unwilling to negotiate a fair compensation for the drafters time. Regarding pricing, that is what sales is about. Once the initial deposit was paid, the pricing structure was no longer negotiable and their alacart pricing is simply crazy. For example - a $fireplace that RETAILs for $5,000, they want $10,000!!! (Mind you - they don’t pay retail). Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. In my opinion (which we paid $10,000 to share with the public every opportunity we can) although we lost $10,000 - we WON!!! We will not be building with Capstone and for that we are grateful. I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with Capstone. I can only imagine the nightmare that would have taken place if we proceeded with the build and had we put down the next sizeable deposit based on lots of published reviews from consumers. BTW - it took almost three weeks to secure a date and time to meet with the CEO to respectfully share our thoughts, and once a date was set he chose not attend.
