    My Chevy Equinox had recall for excessive oil burning when I took it to dealer to fix I also told them I heard noise from motor I was told it had nothing to do with recall and they found flecks in my oil and thought it was from motor deteriorating and they’d have to take entire engine apart to determine problem. A few days ago my car stopped running and I was told due to compression loss and they were not sure if it was covered or the cost, and they had no loner cars for me to use. Researching compression loss I found top 5 reasons were, holes in pistons, leaky valves, worn timing belt, head gasket failure, bad piston rings, ironically the recall states to check & replace piston kit, gasket kit, seal chain package, timing and about 6-8 other things all of which were fixed for recall about 3 months ago. Also in order to replace these items it states remove engine from vehicle remove pistons etc and assemble engine. If this was done a few months back how did my engine stop running from compression when they replaced the 5 top causes under warranty? Why did they need to take engine apart to determine flecks in oil if engine was already out and needed to be assembled from recall? As for noise recall states if due to piston ring wear an audible rattle or knock from the engine maybe heard. They don’t know how long they will have my car, or what needs to be done, or cost, or if under warranty and no loner car. So if they fixed everything in the recall how did my car have no compression? And how did they not know where flecks were coming from if motor was apart to fix for recall? I am not at all impressed because they have lied to my face about my car issues. And I feel they can’t be trusted since they lie about the service they perform. It is to the point I don’t want that car anymore.
