I got a $300 loan from loan til payday. I was paying them back until i lost my job. I informed multiple agents of my loss of employment as well as provided them the documentation of my job loss. They proceeded to harass me and threaten to take me to court to garnish my wages. I told them over and over i did not have a job and I kept in touch like they asked. I told them as soon as I got the funds I would pay them completely off. An agent said she would note it on the account and right after I was emailed and texted again and again. Im going through a hard enough time as it is and don’t need to deal with harassment from this business. I would like people to know who they are dealing with before they decide to do business with this business.Business Response

We are aware of this customers issues. We are aware that she lost her position at her job.
Just like your mortgage or rent... you can not just skip out on payments completely. Losing your job does not alleviate you from ever making a payment again.
We asked the customer to make a small good-faith payment until she gets a new job and can get back to regularly scheduled payments. She did not oblige.
We ask the customer to make at least a $20 good faith payment.
Until that time, when she still owes a significant amount of money with only 1 payment ever made on this account, we feel fine reaching out to get her on track.

I reached out to the company the person I spoke to said I can reach out when I’m ready to pay. I don’t have any form of income at all and I’ve explained that over and over. False Contracts. Unlawful/ false presentation of terms. Denial of records including copies of supposed contracts, receipts, balances. Misleading/ unlawful and dishonest direction of payments with regards of direction towards principle loan balance vs. interest accrued with unlawful intention of ballooning interest. Numerous UNAUTHORIZED attempts to illegally charge my debit card in violation of any supposed payment schedule by staff. Solicitation of payments via CashApp in violation of any supposed contracts. We fully disagree with everything the client is saying. The client used to work at the AutoZone next to our store. We have learned she was fired and is currently homeless.
She is issuing this BBB complaint because she does not want to repay the loan she took out with the company.
All of her loan contracts were signed by her and presented to her in person at the store face-to-face with an employee.
We have attempted to make affordable arrangements for her to pay but she just does not comprehend.
We have reached out since the BBB complaint to resolve the matter and she does not respond.

We spoke to the customer. She is upset she did not get an immediate reply to her email. She is right in that regard.
Since that time, we have assigned her a dedicated representative who will handle all her problems via phone/text/email.
The customer stated they will withdraw BBB complaint as a result.
We also cancelled any court action (attached) against the customer.

This whole company is a lie and take you through so much to get a loan they will tell you yes and then one unforeseen issue occurs they tell you no. I was approved. They never asked for if I had a prior loan or anything. Went through the whole process and was told because I was out of state had to go into the store. I went into my local store and get a bunch of bull about how my card wasn’t feasible when my mother has the same type of card got a loan in no time. But she lived in Delaware. So I call the number back and they tell me they are going to process it online and they don’t understand why they denied me. Got the approval for $400. Then because I didn’t have the right kind of phone number I couldn’t get the loan to sign the docusign because it was a Wi-Fi caller. Which I said ok if I get a phone and try it that way will it be a problem they said no. So I did that. That was only day one because I got it all handled in less than an hour and no one responded to emails or calls. So make this day to I call numerous times finally get someone and they tell me I couldn’t get it because I am out of state and the phone issue. When it was all resolved yesterday saying it wouldn’t be an issue. I dare them to call me a liar I have text messages and emails to verify everything. You came up with an excuse after the fact and your customer service is awful. You didn’t need or know all this extra stuff before and I was approved. Don’t use this business they just lie. Unlike some I actually needed the money and had a legitimate job to pay it back. So we just lie to people is what you do. I hope you don’t get another person. This might become a legal issue as well. I’m so over it. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!!Business Response

They told me it would be ok as you saw in the messages but still don't want to complete or admit their responsibility. I reject this and if you look at the time of the message and the denial it is not in sequence. Teach your employees better and it wouldn't happen. I ran from place to place. This could be a court issue but we'll see.

The business is called loan til payday, I took out a loan for $200 and the paperwork stated I am to pay back $1356.00. I can see me paying back $304 max nothing higher especially for a loan.
