      Sun Communities of Frederica DE. Has billed for the cost of a total renovation of a rental unit after exiting the property. During the residency at High Point Park in Frederica several requests for maintenance were willfully ignored by management. It was only after myself and my husband deciding to purchase the home and vacate were the repairs made. Some of the repairs requested were requested during the initial walk thru of the property prior to signing the lease. I have attempted to dispute this charge several times with Sun Communities several times. The carpet was replaced throughout the property. Furthermore, the carpet was soiled upon us looking at the property and after signing the lease. It was only replaced at our requested and this request was met with resistance as Sun Communities thought it to be acceptable to leave damaged carpet initially and later patching the carpet with a mix match of different color pieces. Also, the walls and ceilings were painted throughout due to crayon being present in one of the bedrooms. We were also billed for HVAC repair or replacement and toilet parts. Both things were in working order upon exiting the property. Damages to the kitchen floor were present prior to moving in and became worse after maintenance serviced the dryer in that same area, again, this was brought to the attention of management. High Point has also sited damage to the master bathroom wall. The damage is a result of a leak that went unrepaired for a significant amount of time. Not only did this cause water damage to the wall but it caused the flooring in the shower to feel soft. All of these thing's issues were discussed with management and request for service were made as we felt as residents at the time that this was unacceptable. I have asked for a full investigation by Sun Communities however the results are still not valid.
