I am currently renting from Maymont Homes. Maymont introduced Bestegg as an affordable rent split option which I found convenient due to being paid biweekly. In October and November that randomly increased my split causing me to pay almost $4000 in a two month span. I ended up paying this months rent late because it was one of the randomly hiked up splits I was not ready to pay. They are now saying that my rent was past due and the amount I paid was owed to them and not to Maymont. Which makes no sense as the landlord has already confirmed that my balance from August to November is paid in FULL. They have not released the funds saying it is owed to them as payment for the month prior. My landlord confirmed that the amount I paid to Bestegg is for December's rent. 1274.75. Bestegg then told my husband that they're just waiting on the funds to be processed then they will be released to Maymont. I just got off the phone with them and they are once again saying that they will NOT be releasing the funds to Maymont because it is owed to them. I either need my money back to pay directly to the landlord before I'm evicted in two days or for them to give the money to Maymont.Business Response

On November 13 2024 I applied for a refinance loan for $19,000 to witch $7,500 would pay the remaining amount of my previous loan and I'd receive around $10,000. To help with debt consolidation. I received an offer for 10,000 witch I thought was the additional amount to my previous loan so I proceeded on that path thinking i wont get the 12,000 but 10,000 will work.Shortly after accepting that offer I received a phone call from a loan officer from best egg and I believe her name was Olivia. She was very nice and helpful. During our talk I asked if it was in addition to my previous loan and she said yes and told me the full amount would be $17,400 and some odd dollars. To witch I was happy to hear and we continue to go through the process until I needed my bank account information witch I could get at the moment. Since this is the last step and the app would pick up right where we left off we said our goodbyes and hung up. After a little while I gathered the information I need and proceded with the application and was approved. Now just wait a couple of days for the nearly $10,000 is deposited in my account. On November 15 I checked my best egg account to find the entirety of the loan was for $10,000 not the $17,000 I was told by the loan officer. I proceeded to call best egg and spoke to another very nice customer service representative that basically said I would receive an email in 1-3 business days. I wait till November 20 and called again only to hear it would be 7-10 business day before my case was looked at. Called back in 10 day to find out it needed another week. Finally got a call back December 16 a full month past the original loan. I Spoke to April a manager and she said yes we gave you the wrong information but you signed it and we won't change it or work on any solution with you. All of witch should be recorded over the phone calls.Business Response

I was lied to by a best egg loan officer about the amount I was applying for and that's the only reason I agreed to the loan and filed the loan because she said it was for $17,479 witch was my previous balance plus the additional $10,000 I believed I was applying for. All phone calls were recorded and after a month of waiting to hear from them I finally did and they acknowledged that they gave me "misinformation " and that that person would be reprimanded but other than that I was essentially stuck with the loan. I wish to undo this entire action of refinancing the loan and returning to the first original loan. I have in my account the remaining money after the refinance.

I am submitting this complaint because my credit report contains fraudulent account that are the result of identity theft. These accounts were opened without my knowledge or consent, and their presence on my credit report has caused me significant stress and financial hardship. I’ve worked hard to maintain my credit, and it’s frustrating and disheartening to see these unauthorized accounts tarnishing my record. Despite my efforts to address this issue directly with the credit reporting agencies and creditors, the accounts remain on my report, and no resolution has been provided. I am seeking your assistance in ensuring that these fraudulent accounts are removed from my credit report and that my rights under federal law, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, are upheld. I need to have my damaged credit report fixed immediately. I never applied for a loan with this company. I did not give this compnay permission to run my credit. They unlawfully used my information when I was searching for information online about a Discover credit card for home improvement repair. I nver reached out to this company. I called and got comeone over the phone and he said I had to email the company about the dispute. I have not heard back. I need corporate to handle this matter right away to avoid unecessary time with emails and mail. This is the information left on my credit report which was greatly damaged: Best Egg 3419 Silverside Road Wilmington DE 19810 855-282-6353. The inquiry was made on 10/31/24. Best Egg sold my information to fraudulent companies. I get calls non stop from fake companies only after I shared my information with them when I was originally looking for a loan but decided not to use them. Now although i am on the DNC list, i am being called. I also would press 9 on the calls that came in asking them to stop calling me and it claimed i would not be called anymore but then I get 3 more calls with the same recording so it is the same scam company.Business Response

I used this company to help pay my monthly rent installments, the last 2 months the company has trouble processing my 1st payment which has caused me to be charged late fees and payment return fees. Best Egg mispresented itself and did not give me the interest rate I was told I would get. I was told the rate would be 14.99%. My initial credit score at the time of the application deserved a lower rate than 27.99%. I was not given the loan agreement which was never signed by me nor the Promissory Note until I inquired about it; then it was sent on Wednesday (2 days ago) and I feel this was deliberately done to assist in concealing the deceit--because older people are often target for being deceiption.Business Response

Third class credit card, when I applied for it, they informed me that they have 0% fraud liability, recently fraud happened on my credit card and they still made me pay for that credit card. This is totally ridiculous, I paid in full on time, and even after they charged me interest on the paid amount, when I disputed the interest charges on Consumer Financial protection Bureau, they did not respond me on time, and that incurred a late fee affecting my credit. When I contacted the customer service to waive both the charges they refused. Please waive off all the fraud charges, late fee and interest charges, otherwise I will take the matter to the court.Business Response
