    Hello I am a customer of best egg I took out two loans with the company in which one of them I paid off. Best egg has asked customers to recommend potential customers for a loan. I recommended my wife devinya rogers Williams loan#45457134 for 5000 loan with Best egg. In return we both are to receive one hundred and fifty dollars each in a gift card. The requirements are she get approved and pay the first payment all were met since June of this year? My wife and I both tried calling and emailing the company to no avail.

    I received a loan from best egg on August 8th. I ended up not using or needing it and I reached out on the 13th via email because they are not open 24/7. I let them know I no longer needed the loan and already paid back what I had received, but asked that they please waive the $400 origination fee as the loan was no longer needed. They responded 2 days later that they were unable to do so as I needed to reach out within 5 days. I responded that I reached out on August 13th which is within 5 business days of when I received the loan and they said because no one responded back to me they were unable to assist. It is not my fault that someone on their team did not respond on time. I reached out within 5 business days as stated and I would like to have that waived as I don’t think it’s fair.

    Bestegg employees **** (Answers phone) and **** (Manager) sent me a Loan for $3000 and I docusigned it and sent it back. I was told is was approved and **** said he would Send the money to my Corpus Christi Postal Employees Credit Union via FHC. But the **** tells me that I have to send him a blank check and to go to Office Depot and buy a box of Blank checks just to use one of then to show him. That cost is $30 then after that **** tells me I have to provide him with $300 to send him before they can issue me the Loan! I need this Money but Why am I having to pay $330 in order to obtain my loan. It has been 2 months and I asked them If I can have an extention because I need to find the $330 First. I am saying NONE OF THIS $330 Is in my contract !! Please help because I would like foe Bestegg Loan Company to forward the $3000 money to my Credit Union ASAP please. Thank you for the help. Very Respectfully

    I would like to report a predatory lending model that I feel is happening with this company. For the record, I have no issues with their product, service, fees, etc. My concern is that I’ve spoke to service agents on the phone and via email and no one is willing to take my issue seriously. I have begged the company to NOT allow me to borrow money under any circumstances. I have a spending addiction and I’m trying to look out for myself. I’ve said in my emails and via the phone that I am not in the right mental state to make lending decisions. I’ve begged to be blackballed to help me help myself. They don’t care and say they can’t stop me if I apply. Feels like they are taking advantage of someone who has blatantly said that they aren’t in the right mental state to make rationale decisions. And I’ve had a few others say the same thing while other companies have honored my request. Am I to assume those that say no are trying to take advantage of folks?

    Was trying to use this company for the Flexible Rent option. Spoke to a guy by the name of ******* ********* on 7/30/24 when I got an error message after log in. The message says: “We're having trouble connecting. Try refreshing this page in a few minutes. If refreshing doesn't work, reach out to our team.” He said it was not an IT issue and then kept saying that my unfinished application had been rejected and I had to wait a min of 30 days before the system reset itself. The application went unfinished due to an error on their page that would erase my SSN and then when I would retype it and go on to the next page, it said it could not verify my identity. He just kept repeating that I was rejected. I never got a single email about rejection and then he said it was because I didn’t have an account. But I was logged in and told him I had the option to log out or refresh the page. He again kept repeating that it was due to my application being rejected. But according to him I didn’t have an account to how could he know it was rejected. I asked to speak to someone else who may have more information since he did not seem to know more beyond “you don’t have an account/ you can’t get past log in because you were rejected/ it takes at least 30 days for the system to reset itself and let you apply but I don’t know how long”. He said there was no one else. I could clearly hear a bunch of men laughing in the back, when I pointed this out, he said they had the match on! So no one was available because they’re watching TV!? I asked for a supervisor due to the lack of information and he said that there is no supervisors because they are all out sick or on disability. That he can’t give me the email/name of a higher up because there is no one -I guess why they’re watching tv and not working. This site is shady somewhere: it gets your SSN, erases it, then somehow runs it, but has no record of it then says the account I’m logged on doesn’t exist. They need to be investigated.

    Account has never been late. Account is under autopay since before January, and even had a manual additional payment of $400 submitted 7/2. Statements and emails show no past due balance, but bestegg reported my account past due 30+ to credit companies. Called company to complaints and constomer service told me they can’t help and to send an email. Tried sending email and the email address I was provided is invalid.

    Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The business claims that the credit bureaus were notified of the correction. I can confirm that this was done.After 3 days, the credit bureaus received a new report that my account is late AGAIN.Therefore, they didn't withhold their claim that the record has been corrected.     My credit card account was used by an unauthorized user on 08/26/2022 for purchases at Home Depot for 1293.34. I had never been to that store and at the time, I was 150 miles away celebrating my birthday. My credit card was in my possession and I had never disclosed my information to anyone else. The bank failed to alert me of that unusual transaction at the time. My usual transactions were never more than 70-80 dollars. I found out about the unauthorized transaction when I received my monthly bill and called immediately on 09/26/22 to alert them of the fraudulent transaction. I spoke with ******* and he assured me that the investigation was being initiated and the matter would be resolved within 90 days. I called again 0n 12/30/22 to follow up on the open dispute and investigation and was informed that the investigation was never initiated and that I have to wait another 90 days. I called again 3 months later and was informed that they still have not received a response from Home Depot regarding the fraudulent transaction. I kept calling every several months, and was assured that it would be resolved and the money would be refunded. The bank did stop charging me interest on the fraudulent transaction for a short time, but then started again. I have paid more than 700 dollars in interest in addition to most of the fraudulent transaction. I had not used my card ever since and is on hold, not trusting this bank and its fraudulent practices. I am a disabled person and I am often in and out of hospitals, so it took me awhile to realize that I am not getting a resolution to my problem. Please help me to recover my money. Thank you.
