    In the past, 2 years plus, when a customer bought an item on the shopee app with cash, (COD) if the item was returned, the customer's money would be automatically placed by the company into an account called (shopee pay) on the app, allowing the customer to buy another item on their app. The customer would create a pin number to access their money at the check out on the app. As of 8/8/2024 the customer is required to verify their shopee pay account with the customer's identification. I submitted my identification and it failed and no reason was given to me why it failed. I contacted customer service of shopee and they informed me that because I am a foreigner living in the Philippines I need to submit my ACR (alien certificate of registration) which I do not have because it's not required by the Philippines immigration department. Shopee has given me no solution to access my money in my shopee pay account.
