1 starWe have been a loyal customer for over 30 years with no little to NO accidents. Overall we’re very responsible car owners and drivers. We have never appealed a case before. After AAA replaced my car battery. Their tech damaged my radio and Bluetooth (the speaker - the sound is gone) after the battery was replaced!. I did open two cases one of them is a damage claim. AAA REP, asked me to take it to the dealer and get estimate. Then closed the case without fixing the damage they caused. It have been driving my car for 7 months now, trying communicate with AAA rep. does not reply to my phone calls, nor my email.Review fromCustomer D

1 starAAA has a very low level of customer service experience I have ever dealt with. I paid to have a service provided for me and My questions went unanswered I was placed on hold for more than 30 minutes without having updates on my request and I never got a follow-up call. there is a Lack of communication. Lack of knowledge. Lack of going the extra mile to create an overall great customer experience. I have been a member of AAA for a few years and I have witnessed a decline in Customer service this is just one of the reasons why I will no longer be a member of this company. I do not recommend AAA.Review fromNerra K

Excessive wait time for tow , customer can be in a none safe area and they don’t care and charge for extra mileage is ridiculous , when you advise you want to upgrade your plan you can’t until 3 months after due to you used your towing for that month which is out right ridiculous . Also if you late on your car insurance they add additional 30 dollars for the rest of the premium you guys are horrible i will be seeking elsewhere for insuranceAAA Club Alliance

. I have been a faithful customer, paid my bill and this is what I got. but not now. I feel I have been treated unfairly and frankly unethically. AAA did NOT meet my expectations at all. I understand issues happen, but this was unfair, unprofessional and a true lack of concern for the customer.AAA Club Alliance

Good morning: I wanted to provide feedback on my service call on 10/16/23. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. 8am My vehicle would not start, so I contacted AAA. They replied it would be about an hour. The person came and was unable to start my vehicle. He advised me to contact AAA again and ask to be towed. I did - was advised it would be about 2 1/2 hours. "ok", it's a wait but, it is what it is. The time went by, I went back on the app, sent a "status" update request - no replies. So, I called. They told me it would be another hour or so. "ok", it is what it is. That hour goes by, I contact them again, they tell me they are "working on it". I then get a call telling me that they "can not tell me when the tow truck will arrive". I was 37 miles from home, I had no vehicle, I had at that time waited about 6+ hours! Finally about 3:15pm the person showed up. Towed me in, back to my hometown garage. I have been a faithful customer, paid my bill and this is what I got. I had been going to get AAA for our daughter for Christmas, but not now. I feel I have been treated unfairly and frankly unethically. AAA did NOT meet my expectations at all. I understand issues happen, but this was unfair, unprofessional and a true lack of concern for the customer.AAA Club Alliance

I have been a member of AAA for ten years, and recently, this company has gone downhill. We needed a tow, and they sent out the wrong tow truck three times, even though we explained that the car could not go into neutral. One tow truck crashed into the house, damaging the garage and side of the home, causing $ 1,500 in damages. They refused to pay and would not take our calls; AAA didn't help us. Then, when we needed AAA's help again ( time for a new car), they sent the same tow company that damaged the house. It takes forever to speak to a live person, and employees don't care or share the relevant information to get the right tow truck sent out. Get your roadside service through the car dealership.AAA Club Alliance

AAA does not take responsibility for the services they hire to fulfill your requests. Back in March, I required a tow from my office parking lot to a nearby dealership so I could get my battery replaced (was attempting to save money and get a better warranty than that offered by AAA's battery replacement service). I called AAA to have them send me a tow truck. They used Gerber Gonzalez (Bethesda, MD), who marked my call as complete when he couldn't access my closed campus but was then resent to me when I requested a new tow. He used the metal yoke of his tow truck on my Buick Encore AWD, which he dragged for about a mile until he pulled over in the left turn lane of my building. He got out, examined the car, and then tried to scam me into paying him $80 to load my car on the dolly. I told him he could go through AAA. He then loaded my car onto the dolly, took photos of it while it was in the turn lane, got back into the cab and was really nice to me for the first time of our interaction. When he dropped me off at the dealership, I asked them to examine the car's rear because I was pretty sure he had just damaged my car. He sure did -- I needed a new rear differential because it was bent. So I called AAA to have them handle this damage caused by the tow truck service they sent to me. Lenora Harts handled my case. Through our limited interaction, I received a confusing letter that basically said liability rests with their independent contractors. Because he took photos while we were in the turn lane, they said that was sufficient evidence he loaded it on the dolly. How can that be since my request was from a parking lot? At what point of a successful call would he have stopped in busy traffic (lanes of cars are evident in the photo) to take a photo? What is the point of having AAA if they do not take responsibility for the people they deem fit to represent AAA? I've lost all trust in AAA.AAA Club Alliance

Thank you for contacing AAA. Please see our response below. The facility has stated that they towed the vehicle using dollies. The facility has provided pictures proving they used dollies. That is the reasoning behind the denial. As this is an independent contractor and it states in our Member Benefit Guide: AAA Liability We have contracted with independent service facilities to provide Emergency Roadside Service. AAA shall not be liable for any damage, injury or loss occasioned by or resulting from rendering, attempted rendering, or failure to provide any Emergency Roadside Service or towing service or failure thereof by an independent service facility. Independent service facilities are not agents of AAA, nor is AAA an agent for them. They are solely responsible for their actions and for any legal liability arising therefrom. AAA did not make the decision, as the liability rests with the independent contractor. We just assist with the communication between you and the independent contractor.Review fromMel D

This weekend, the battery died in our car. We called AAA for help with a jump start or a tow, whichever was needed. After waiting an hour, we got called by a tow truck in Fairbanks Alaska. Our car was in Fairfax, Virginia. We had no idea how that happened: we told told them our address and the name of the business where the car was stuck. We called AAA to provide our actual address, and an hour later, they had made no progress in finding a tow truck in our actual location. They were not trying very hard either: they only contacted three tow truck companies in that hour. They said they would reimburse us if we wanted to call a tow company on our own, but refused to tell us how much we could be reimbursed for. ($5? 10?) And when we asked to speak with a manager, they put us on hold for more than 10 minutes without connecting us to someone. At that point, we realized AAA had no interest in helping us and took care of it on our own.AAA Club Alliance
