My husband and I, as a family of five, were in need of a reliable SUV after losing our previous vehicle, a GMC. We returned to Gaz Auto, with whom we had previously had a positive experience, to purchase another vehicle. Given our active lifestyle and children involved in sports, we stressed the importance of a dependable SUV. We found a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder that we were assured was in good condition and agreed to purchase it after being informed that only a new computer would be installed. On June 3rd, we placed a $1,000 deposit with the understanding that the car would be ready in a few days. Unfortunately, what was initially a short wait turned into a two-week delay. We were told that some of the dealership’s cars had been broken into and that they were under investigation, preventing the release of any vehicles. We remained patient, especially considering this was our second purchase with them, and we had even referred multiple friends and church members to Gaz Auto. Upon finally receiving the SUV, we were excited and hopeful, but that excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Just two days after the expiration of the 90-day warranty, and a day after paying over $600 for the vehicle tags, the car broke down while we were traveling to celebrate WV for our One year wedding anniversary. We had the vehicle towed to the nearest mechanic, who informed us that the engine had failed. After further inspection, Gaz Auto confirmed this diagnosis and stated that the repair would cost $3,500 for a new engine. We couldn’t afford this and requested a full refund of the $4,000 deposit, which I had taken out as a loan through my business, or at the very least, half of the deposit. Despite our loyalty to the dealership and the referrals we provided, our request was met with a firm refusal. We are now left with no vehicle alongside a significant financial burden. We were loyal customers who trusted Gaz Auto, and we feel deeply let down by how this situation has unfolded.

My husband and I needed a new reliable suv for our family of 5 after losing our GMC. We went to Gaz Auto to get a suv. This would have been our second purchase from them. We expressed that we needed a very reliable SUV as a traveling family whom also have children in sports. . We seen a few suvs and loved the “Red 2017 Nissan Pathfinder” we were told that the car was in good condition and that a new computer would be put in. We placed a $1K deposit in May and were told the suv would be ready in a week. We went back to inquire about the car and they said they didn’t have a chance to get to the car because they were busy. 2 weeks turned to 3 weeks and we still didn’t receive the car, they said some of the cars were broken into and they were under investigation and couldn’t release cars. We remained patient considering this would be our second vehicle from them and we sent multiple of our church members to them to also purchase a vehicle. After finally receiving the car we were very excited. By day 92 after also paying over $600 for the tags the car broke down the very next day while traveling to celebrate our wedding anniversary which left us stranded. This happened the day after paying the $600+ fee for the tags. We had the car towed by our insurance to the nearest mechanic after two days which informed us that the motor had went out. We had triple AAA tow it all the way back to Delaware when we notified Gaz auto they assured us that it was not the motor and we were misinformed. after having the vehicle for a few days and running some test. They informed us that it was indeed the motor And that it would cost $3500 for a new engine. With the car no longer be in use we asked for at least a refund for the full $4K deposit that I had to take out as a loan through my business, at least half of the 4K that we put down or at least $1K and they said “NO” we asked them to at least reconsider the businesses that we sent their way and they still gave us a”NO”
