We rented an AMI home (Beachwalk) for our fall vacation. We paid for our vacation in advance. Upon arriving the cleanliness of this location was reportable. The walls were very dirty, the outdoor pool was unsanitary, the faucet in the kitchen was just hanging loose, the back porch was unsafe, and we did not have air conditioning in Florida! We called management when we arrived to report the conditions and ask if there was another rental they could possibly put us in. The response was no, we have no more availability and the pool company only comes out on Monday and Thursday (this was Saturday). I sent pictures to AMI of the conditions of the pool and cleanliness of the home and.I even invited them to come assess the property. Oh, they were apologetic, but no action was taken. We went without air conditioning for 4 days (in Florida). This is poor business! We were not even asking for a full refund, but rather compensation for a pool that we were unable to use because of it being unsanitary for use. Adding a pool to a vacation rental is considerably more. I am not one who complains, but my husband and I save up a full year to pay for our vacation and to not be able to enjoy it to the fullest is disappointing and I do not want other patrons to be treated in this same manner. I would not recommend AMI Locals for your vacation plans there are other customer valued options.AMI Locals LLC

1 starAwful experience with AMI Locals - checked into Shore is Paradise 11/2 and on 11/3 notified AMI Locals the pool/spa was not working. The property is advertised as having a heated pool. The heater is torn apart and screws left on top, it's clear it was known the pool heater was not working but left unfinished. I've followed up every day with AMI Locals and each time the response is the team is working on it and that someone would be out. On 11/4, I was told someone would be out 11/5 to install a new heater. Nobody showed up - we now only have 3 days left and have not been able to use the heated pool as advertised. A refund discussion needs to be order and is simply the right thing to do at this point. $8k for this end result is simply unacceptable.Review fromTim T

DO NOT RENT "Direct Beach Front"...Or anything from Anna Maria Vacations, It’s parent company: Prime Vacations, or its sister company: AMI Locals. The filthy, run-down accommodations and the extremely poor service were an absolute disappointment. Entering the condo we heard a loud rattling noise. It turned out to be the refrigerator. It's motor was so noisy that the only place we could escape it was in the bedrooms with the doors closed. We might as well have been renting a one room efficiency apartment. Not much later, we noticed a plastic penis/dildo hanging by the hinges near the front door. The guest bathroom had no cover on the toilet’s water tank and there were visible cracks in both the sink and the toilet bowl. You almost couldn’t see through the windows in the master bedroom they were so dirty and they either didn’t open at all or wouldn’t stay open unless propped. The condo was so FILTHY! The furniture was described as “luxury” but it should have been thrown out years ago. The ceiling was covered with multiple large water stains and cracks and in one spot there appeared to be mold growing on it. Light bulbs were out in the master shower & above the toilet. The ceiling fans in both bathrooms never worked. The pool was actually in the parking garage, only a small patio section extended into the sunshine. There was no beach umbrella, cooler, or even can coolers provided. And for a place that was supposed to accommodate up to 6 people, there were only 2 non-broken beach chairs. We called customer service many times. They acted as though they wanted to make the situation better but in retrospect it was all an act. After at least 3 conversations with whoever was first to answer the phone our first night, and requests to speak to a manager or have one come over to see the condition of the place themselves, we were told the managers don’t like to work after hours…even though it was still during posted business hours. 3 starsI rented a three bedroom home. Upon looking in the book at the residence, it gave instructions on signing into the Spectrum App on the ROKU television. One television was already signed into ROKU, but none of the other televisions were. I was able to use an IPAD to mirror stuff for my elderly mother to watch. However, she didn't know how to use an IPAD, so it became problematic. There was no Spectrum or cable for her to watch. I would have never come here with her if that were the case. She enjoys television, and not so much of being outside. I contacted them upon arrival and they stated they would send someone out. Due to getting the IPAD to work, I told them to not send someone and we would see how this worked. By the morning, I knew that I needed to contact them to come out. I called as soon as they opened at 9 AM and explained once again that none of the televisions were working. They said that they would send someone out. It is now 5:09 PM and I called them at 9 AM. I've also called them several times to see if they were still coming out, as we are trying to make plans to go out. However, I can't go anywhere because if they come, I need to know how these televisions work so that I can make my mother comfortable. This might be something minor to some, but when you were a caretaker, and your elderly parent likes to watch television, it becomes important, especially when you're paying good money to stay somewhere. I can see if I didn't voice this to them, if they had no idea that there was an elderly person here, I could see them making it a low priority. There's also a nice television outside by the pool that we have not been able to enjoy at all! This has definitely put a damper on a four day thrip that is costing close to 2 grand. Shame on them for not making sure everything is in working order prior to guests coming. Do yourselves a favor and stay at a hotel. At least things get rectified quickly. The house is nice and I have had no other issues.

Do not book with them. They do not care about the renters. We booked what seemed to be a beautiful home for 2 weeks. #1 door striker was broken so the door would not open. They gave us the code to the lock box which was the wrong number. Still cannot get in. Finally someone else found another code and we got in. I began to defrost and the microwave blew up. So we got take out. Bathroom toilet was plugged up completely. They sent over a sweet person and he literally had to remove the striker plate from the door so it would work. Brought a new microwave as the other was not fixable. Tried to unplug the toilet but rotor rooter hsd to come and pulled out toys,etc. Now, the next morning ready for our private pool. Nope, full of green algae. Not swimmable. Called them and was told we have no one to come out. Decided to be a boss and my niece and i went to the local pool company and at my own expense hired our own pool person who was amazing and got the pool swimmable and gorgeous in 2 days. There were multiple uncemented pool tiles around the pool and of course i tripped and cut my foot in 3 places. There were no privacy fences around the pool so all neighbors got a show! We called and documented and sent photos of all of this but these people DO NOT CARE. Avoid this company.AMI Locals LLC

Our team responded to all requests this guest placed in a very timely manner. The night of her arrival, 7/3, she called our after-hours emergency line because her microwave would not turn off. While this is not normally considered an emergency, our technician kindly went out around 10 pm to respond to her request. While there, she had him assist with about 3 more requests, and he kindly obliged. Her requests for the pool pavers, electronic door lock, TV, microwave, and more toilet paper were completed within 24 hours of her arrival at the home. The pool company serviced this home five times during her stay. Our team was able to get another pool company out to rectify the issue on July 4th, a national holiday, when most, if not all vendors are normally closed. It was then serviced on 7/7, 7/8, 7/11, and 7/14. The clogged toilet was completed less than 24 hours after her original report. We feel as though our team was responsive and kind to each one of her requests.Karen W

1 starBooked Turtles Nest through AMILocals week of July 2 thru 9. The house was not clean. I had to vacuum the floors, wash bath rugs and sheets were sandy. Tried calling AMI Saturday evening after arriving and no one was available in guest services. On Wednesday, 2 different people showed up for soil testing and surveying. We were not notified that this was going to take place. They said it would only take 45 minutes but they were there well over 2 hours and it the machinery they used was so loud. Again, tried to get in touch with AMI. Funny how reservations answers on one ring and you have to wait an entire day to hear back from guest services. Finally, after talking to someone on the phone, she was going to get with her manager and call me back. Never called back. Just gave up. Will never book with AMI Locals again.
