January 2023 AMC Roofing was hired to do a roof replacement. There were no issues with the original roof, besides the age, it was originally built in 1979 and solely the age of the roof was making it more difficult to find a homeowner's insurance policy. AMC Roofing completed the roof replacement, and it was inspected, it passed inspection. During installation, communication was what was to be expected. There were two leaks that occurred less than one month after the roof replacement: one in the master bedroom, and one in the garage. AMC Roofing has been contacted on nine occasions of the persistent roof leaks over the past two years. They have come out and responded to a number of those requests, but not every time. Their resolutions would sometimes work for one rainstorm, but most often the repairs did nothing. Water damage has occurred as a result of this negligence. After the eighth leak I hired different contractors refinish and paint the ceiling in the master bedroom, thinking that the roof leaks had be resolved. However, the leaks were not adequately addressed, after eight repairs by AMC Roofing. The water damage is showing again, and I have lost hundreds of dollars and many sleepless nights due to this. The true extent of the water damage is unknown, but one could guess it is surely a much larger issue after all this time. Two years later and I am still having to reach out to find a resolution for an issue that should have been resolved months if not years ago. AMC Roofing was contacted fifteen days prior to the date of this complaint, for the ninth time to resolve this issue, with no follow up since they have acknowledged receipt of my message. Clearly these issues are of no concern to AMC Roofing. I am requesting settlement due to this.

After the 2016 hurricane, I selected ***** and *** to replace my damaged roof. They did a good job at that time, and for the next 5 years I had no problems with the new roof. However, in 2022, I like thousands of other ******* homeowners, found out that my homeowner's insurance company was leaving the state, and I had to find a new home owner's insurance company. The new company required a full inspection both inside/outside the home. The inspector was concerned about the status of some shingles on the garage roof, and although I passed inspection, he suggested that I contact *** for a better inspection. I called *****, and he came out immediately, and performed his inspection. When he came down off of my roof, he informed me that he had some concerns about my shingles in several places, and he had taken pictures to send to the shingles manufacturer for their opinion. After not hearing anything from ***** for a couple of months, I tried calling both his and the office telephones to get an update, and never got a live human voice. I left numerous messages on both phones over 2-3 months. I finally gave up calling until about a week ago. I had someone come to clean my gutters, and the gentleman was a former roofer. He told me that my shingles were very dry, and losing excessive granules. Note - I had not mentioned anything to him about my shingles. He then asked how old the roof shingles were. I told him 7 years. He responded "they look anywhere from ***** years old". At this point, I decided once more to try to get ****************'s attention to please come out to check the roof? I just tried calling again this morning, (4th time over the last week) and still even after one year, cannot get a callback, or talk to a live person. At this time I am totally disappointed in *** and it's lack of customer service. According to my ********************** contract with ***, I am still under a 10 year warranty period.
