    I have lived in Sea Oats apartment complex for about 4 years. Management has changed about that many times since I have been a resident here. I saw my electric **** getting higher and higher for about three months since December of 2021. I never did or said anything till March 13th exactly when it went from 600some odd kw hours to **** kw hours practically doubling with no additional usage. I called JEA on March 30th frantic thinking that someone had tapped into my electricity which was sending my **** skyrocketing. JEA CSR Ms. ** went over my daily usage for the previous weeks said I would need to contact the Mgt. at Sea Oats to have them check out the apartment.I hung up and immediately went over to the ********** because I couldn't get anyone on the . Ms ***** assured me she would send Mr ***** over to see what was going on, He even walked into the office as she was putting in a "work order". Before Mr ***** had gotten to my apartment I called the office back and stated it the water heater. He came saw the leak and called I assumed Corporate to state I would need an new water heater. The water heater was replaced that day.The reason for the complaint is when I received no word as to some compensation for the water heaters failure sending my electric **** from 50 odd dollars to 172. dollars that month.So along with my rent for ***** I added a note requesting some type of compensation for the high electric ****. i received a Email response to send in 90 days of **** so that "they" could determine compensation. I sent in enough previous **** so that "they" could see the increase each month. I received a response from Ms ***** stating " it was basically my fault as a resident, I should have noticed the rusting bottom on the water heater and reported it the office, therefore no compensation." I m no licensed mechanical anything. I sent a email the next day stating this have been ignored. Do the right thing is all I'm asking. This is so wrong on so many levels.
