Placed $600 on deposit with Auto auction mall. I was assured that if no vehicle was purchased that the $600 would be refunded. I have the initial emails. Seems like the business has been shuttered Without any warning, and someone is walking with all the money. I would like to recover the $600 that I deposited. Ive reached out to their customer service phone number which has been disconnected, Ive reached out via email, which has not been returned. Any assistance would be appreciated.Initial Complaint

Gave an initial deposit of 10% of what I would be willing to bid on a vehicle a few years ago. Didnt win the vehicle but Left the money in my account for future possible purchases. Later upped the amount to a total of $1,300 due to a higher value vehicle up for auction which I bid on and even though I was the high bidder they stated that I didnt win the bid because the seller charged his mind. There was no upset price on the item. So anyway, I still have $1,300 on the books in my account with them. I checked their website a few months ago and they stated that for certain business reasons that they were temporarily suspending activities. Then when I checked again approximately a month later I got a notification that they were closed. There was no mention about the obvious such as money in clients accounts that they had and how to go about getting a refund. I emailed them regarding a refund but have not received any reply. Im pretty sure someone is walking away with thousands upon thousands in funds in peoples accounts. I understand about businesses failing but this is supposed to be client money that was supposed to be put on the side and held for future purchases. Also I kept getting website prompts to increase the money in my account to be better prepared. In closing it is looking very obvious that some individual is no longer interested in running his/her business and is intending to close down with as much of other peoples hard earned money as possible.Customer Answer

I recently was contacted by ***** at Auto Auction Mall. He was very professional and agreed to refund the money I had in my account. It will be wired to my bank account.
If you do not hear from me again the case should be considered resolved.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely***********************

I used auto auction mall to purchase cars so I could either part them out or fix them up to sell. To be able to actually bid or buy now you would have to place a deposit to be able to have purchasing power. The last time I purchased I placed a $1000 deposit. $500 was the buy it now price which I paid but had to wire transfer the auction closing fees. Why I couldnt use the other $500 is beyond me but needless to say I had $500 still on my account. Life happens and work plus winter made it not the most friendly to be doing work outside in the northeast. So since its march I decided to start looking for cars again. To my shock I find out auto auction mall closed in February with absolutely no form of contact to let anyone know they were closing. All they left was an email address to contact them with leaving no instructions on how to recover anyones deposit. So I emailed them from three different emails in a ***************** that they would respond to one of these. Wouldnt you know obviously after almost a month now I have received no response and cant even deliver messages to them now via email. So they intentionally closed a business that Im sure a lot of people had deposits with and left no instructions how they will be refunding them. Also they are not responding to anyone and cannot get a hold of them. They have committed fraud and must be hold liable for this. Stealing money straight up from people and businesses needs to be dealt with immediately
