On February 7/23 I bought **** yds of fabric from Boca Bargoons, **** yds was for custom drapes which were specified in detail between me and ****** who runs the workroom operation. The drapes were promised for 2 weeks hence. Then 3 weeks, then for the week of March 20. Finally I picked them up the following week. Three days later, I hired 2 men to install the drapes and hardware at which time I discovered the drapes were much, much too short. The order tag on the finished product listed the length at 96 2/8ths inches but the instructions to the workroom specifically said 108 inches. This has been confirmed by ****** who has taken no responsibility for this issue. I told ****** to get the workroom to re-make the drapes as per my order after which I would return the short ones to him. He told me it didnt work like that and I must return the short drapes before they made new ones so that the workroom could determine where things went wrong (and presumably dispute the claim.) He said he had no influence or pull on the workroom employees. On February 7/23 I paid for both the fabric and the fabrication to the tune of roughly $700 and dont understand why this is MY problem and not the store and ******* problem to deal with their sub-contractors!!! I paid $100 to get the short drapes hung and I will have to pay again to have someone take them down. The store is in ************** and I am in ***********. I dont understand why the store and ****** are not taking responsibility for a problem that clearly resides with them, the provider, and me the customer who has paid in advance and had to wait 7 weeks, only to get the wrong size. I want a new set of drapes with new fabric in short order, thats all. I will return the short ones when I go pick up the correctly sized ones. This is urgent because they may sell out of the fabric at any time and will not be getting any more. Thank you.
