1 starAlert: Run from brokers and their subcontractors. To the citizens of *****************,I'm exposing troubling actions by Empire Moving Group, **********, **, in collaboration with Northwest Relocation, ********, **, during an interstate move from ** to **. Despite clear labeling, items were misplaced, including donations. Legal action ensued, yet Empire Moving Group ignored communication attempts and failed to deliver items, resulting in significant losses. Both companies have operated without consequences.Sincerely,*********************************** StateReview fromMark M

1 starWe were quoted several times by phone and confirmed price of move. They said it wasnt necessary to physically view our household. Upon moving day they told us it would be an additional $2100- in addition to the$5708 we had paid them already -decide now or if they would leave. And we would not be refunded our $2131 deposit. They moved us. At destination we were told no additional charges for stairs. Right away the only man they sent to deliver our stuff tried to tell us we had to pay $10 for every item carried upstairs. Incidentally we had to communicate thru phone language app as he spoke little English. We refused. Another man from ****** list he hired came and they unloaded. We did not ever get a piano bench they packed.Review fromMichele B

1 starThis is the worst moving company out there. " THEY RIP YOU OFF. " I called them to get a quote on 10/21/22. Moving from ***** ** in ******** to ************, *******. They are so nice when you first call. I got a guy named *******************. I told him all what I had to move and the approximate date we were moving. Moving date was approximately first week in May of 2023. ******************* quoted me $4000. for the move. I said great. My wife and I thought about it, plus we looked around for other quotes. They were the best ones, so on 01/02/23, I called **** and told him we will be going with them. I gave them a $1700. deposit on this date, ONLY owing them $2300. On 05/22/23 I called ****. He was being so nice. I told him that a lot of the things I had on my list to move my wife had sold. I told him all the things to take off the list, my quote went down to $3588. total. I already had giving him $1700. deposit so I ONLY owe them $1888. I also told him I had an exact date of 07/10/23. This is when **** told me I had to give him another $250. because July was a busy month, I did. This is now $1950. I had giving them. Then this guy named *** called on 07/03/23 for the final inventory we would be moving. I told him and he came up with a cost of $5072. with another $750. right now. I argued but it didn't do any good since they already have most of your money. You lose it all if you decide to change your mind. So now they have $2700. The movers arrived the morning of 07/10/23. They loaded the truck and asked for another $3729. When they delivered my things they asked for the final $1590. if not they would take everything back. They only take CASH, no other way. This move costed me $8019. It was no where near what the nice **** had quoted me of $3588. Not to mention all the broken things I had. " THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF, STAY AWAY FROM THEM" I do have all the emails, paperwork and pictures to prove all I said on here, if anyone needs proof. STAY AWAY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.Review fromThomas P

1 starDO NOT USE THIS OUTFIT. Who they claim to be on their website is the absolute furthest from the truth. My daughter contracted with on a move from ******** ** to ********. At no time did they inform her that they are simply a BROKER. They brokered her move to a S&A ********** in ** who ironically has the same address, tel# and ***** # as SH Movers. SH Movers has an F rating by the BBB and not accredited.Question is why Empire brokers to another group without notification to my daughter and why they broker to an outfit that has an F rating by the BBB?Needles to say the move went horribly. Movers requested more $$ at time of pickup. Employees spoke and understood ZERO English. When household belongings arrived in ******** it arrived damaged, littered with bird f**** and furniture missing. The directive was to file a claim! When she contacted Empire they pretty much took no responsibility and informed her as well to file a claim. So I guess it is an unreasonable expectation that they merchandise you have them ship for you is the same merchandise delivered to you? She'll be filing claim, as well as complaints to NCCDB and possibly civil suit. Empire Moving Group will be included as well.Review fromKathy S

1 starIf you want to be ripped off and talked to rudely then this is the company to go with. Called Empire moving and they quoted almost $4200 then they subcontracted it out to Blue Diamond which contracted to Logistics. Ended up being over $7800 then had to fight with them for almost 2 months to get my belonging back. Blue Diamond and Empire is who I mostly dealt with. When got the quote to move from ****** to ******** it was a little over $3100 then when found out was moving to South Caroling it ended up being another $1000. Which had to pay $895 to reserve then $1000 to move to **************. Had to pay $2966 when they did the pickup and was told that the balance would be paid at delivery. The driver that picked up was rude and had an attitude. Then after loading everything was told it was a little over $7800 and the driver said that he had to be paid and that was my responsibility and he would not move the truck until he was paid, which was 10% of the $7800, which turned out to have to pay him $780. Found out later that was a tip that did not have to be paid. Then after calling to get the delivery returned was told August 9 that had to pay $2076.90 before they would even put me on the schedule to be delivered. Then when they finally did deliver it on August 19, had to pay the remainder of the $7800 balance which was $890.11 then the driver said we had to pay a bulky item fee which was $600 on top of all we had already paid. And if we wanted we could give him a tip, like that was going to happen. We had a nice 5 drawer dresser that was solid wood that was lost, bed frame, 2 of the kitchen table chairs, 7 drying racks, computer desk chair, mattress toppers, exercise bike, 2 dollies, and a large blue suitcase with queen size sheet sets, blue jeans, and long sleeve night gowns. Not to mention we had an entertainment center that was damaged, the soda stream maker, and a lamp. If you want to be ripped off and stressed out then this is the company to go with.Review fromWillliam S

2 starsI recently started move process across country from GA to OR. I started this process with Empire Moving in January 2023. The move was set up successfully for "pickup" on May 11. Empire was fantastic through the entire booking process and communication was excellent. Movers who showed up on 5/11 were NOT Empire, but "LUXURY LOGISTICS". I've read many reviews which show that Empire consistently hires suspicous companies as the sub-contracted movers. I never heard of Luxury Logistics until they showed up at my door. However, they had my contract from Empire and they wrapped up everything really nicely (furniture, art etc...). I had prepacked all my "boxes" so that was all done for them. They simply had to disassemble my bed and my recliner and wrap my furniture and art. They did a great job. Signed contract showing 5/18 as my "first possible delivery date" to Oregon. This was the first day of contract for delivery. 30 business days to deliver my goods to Oregon. I flew to Oregon and waited and waited and waited for my belongings. 30 days limit was reached on 7/3. Continued to wait. Meanwhile I have made many phone calls/emails to supervisor at Luxury Logistics, no luck. After 30 day deadline, I got my insurance company and police involved. Suddenly the police officer was able to reach the supervisor at Luxury Logistics. This supervisor who never responded to emails or phone calls suddenly started the process rolling. She says she was unaware of "being over the 30 day contract". Of course she was, this was in every single email and voice mail. So she explained daily "discount" that applies for each day past 30. With that, I kept track of the exact amount I would owe upon delivery. When the drivers showed up 8/2 @ 930pm, they would not unload because they were unaware of my discount. So they left. Settled up on 8/3 after they spoke to Luxury and applied my discount. Delivery finally on day 51. Everything seems present.. Beware!Review fromVicki W

1 starDon't hire them!! You will be charged for going over the amount quoted due to bulky items like washer and dryer which they are aware of from the beginning. The excuse will be they are not there at pick up so how could they possibly know the size of your items so what rhe driver says goes. Even when they come late at night 8:30 p.m. no compensation will be given because you accept the arrival time. Then, they will work you into their schedule for delivery in 12 to 14 days. It's all a sham cause they have you over a barrel cause they have your stuff. Next move sell everything and take your memories in your car you will be better off.Review fromJamie I

1 starThis is not a moving company. They farm out the work to third-party companies without informing you when we called to complain that the third-party company had a different price on the day of moving they told us our contract wasnt with them when I explained that the bill of lading states it is a contract, and at the top has the name of Empire moving they hung up on me. I asked to speak with a supervisor because the customer service agent kept talking over me. The supervisor was worse than the customer service agent. I called and left several messages with the man who sold us the contract. He has not returned the messages and the third-party moving company insisted. We should try to *** them because its not the first time that theyve had this problem with customers. I demanded a refund empire moving left in my face. I told them that I would *** them because my 72-year-old mother was laid out on the floor about to have a heart attack because she was quoted $900 more on the wedding day and the customer service representative and the supervisor could not care less.Review fromDimitri M
