1 starCompared to some of these reviews (which I wished I would have seen before committing to this company), I got somewhat lucky. The majority of my items that broke were not gravely important, however. Some important points to make on this. First, I had some antique mirrors that should have been boxed and were not. I also paid for them to be boxed and was told on the day of moving that I didn't pay and that they don't do boxes. Only to be told when everything was delivered that they should have been boxed. Second, the way everything was packed was not the best way. Some heavier items were packed on top of lighter boxes and those boxes got crushed. Thankfully, nothing important was damaged. Lastly, the people from customer service, tend to have numbers or emails that no longer work a few days after working with them. It's very suspicious. The guys who delivered my items did a great job and handled them with care. Again, I made off better than some people - nothing serious was damaged. However, I would say go with someone else with better reviews. It's sad bc this is a veteran-owned business but lack of care is shocking!Review fromCatherine H

1 starVery unhappy with these movers. We moved from ****** to *********. After the initial sign-up:* Poor communication - they did not contact me when they said they would.* *********** got a detailed inventory about 10 days before they picked up the furniture. They calculated the cubic feet, and told me that I owed a higher amount (that was probably fair, we added some things like a washer and dryer and a couple more pieces of furniture)* However, when the truck showed up (late), they looked at our stuff and said, "This is way more cubic feet than the estimate. They s**** up those estimates all the time" They wanted an extra $3800. for 600 more cubic feet. We rented a UHaul to take the "extra" ourselves for $500.* Also, there was an additional charge for moving supplies, like blankets and another additional charge for the labor, to the tune of $1200.* We were given a window when the furniture would show up. They didn't meet the window, and didn't communicate the date when it actually would arrive until the day before.* When the truck showed up, there was only a driver to unload and bring in the furniture - we ended up helping him a lot.* Many of the pieces were scratched or chipped when they arrived.Review fromGinelle A

1 starWorking with this company has been a horrible experience, negatively impacting my mental health. Please read the reviews and reconsider hiring this company. This is my story...I was looking online for a moving company to move my belongings from **********, ** to *************, **. I received a call from a Verified Movers salesperson and I took the call. (Huge mistake.) I explained my situation and was assured that Verified would be able to perform this service. I told the salesperson (Paris) that I had never planned a move on my own and that I was not aware of the process. Without ever telling me that Verified would be acting as a broker or educating me on the timeline, I was assured my move could me done and I was quoted a price. I even asked if I would be expected to travel with the truck (like following in my car). I was told this was not necessary. I paid the deposit and prepped for my move. On the day of the move, my son in law asked the movers how soon the load would be delivered, as we were also making travel plans. He did not get a straight answer. I assured him that I used a reputable company and all would be fine; I assumed my stuff would arrive within a week. We arrived in ************* and I called to confirm a delivery time and day, as I was moving into an apartment. At this point, I was told that Verified was merely the broker and that I would have to talk to the moving company. I was also informed that there were all these random number of business days to consider, based on mileage. In the end, I waited 6 weeks for my belongings to arrive. I was given bogus stories: I was told it was loaded, not loaded, on the way, to be patient, etc. I had to pay rent at an empty apartment, while I stayed in my son's basement with one small suitcase. I did receive my belongings three days after the 30 day cut off. I was not reimbursed for the late days. I actually had to wait before writing this review, as I had to let the trauma settle. They deserve zero stars.Review fromAmy S

1 starI made a reservation and was told I had 3 days to cancel, which I negotiated to 5 and did cancel on the 4th day, as I got a cheaper quote somewhere else. I have contacted them several times about my refund that I was supposed to receive sometime in July. I emailed again July 10 and the response I got was they had an issue with their merchant account and the refund would be processed in the next 3 weeks and to keep checking for an email every Friday. It's now Sept 1, I have called and left messages and emailed, those keep bouncing back now, and not getting a call or email back. DO NOT USE THEM!!Review fromTristan M

1 starThey will tell you not to believe the ** reviews because they need to pay for an account to respond. Don't believe them! They subcontract out to disreputable moving companies. The company they subcontracted out to held our stuff hostage after lying about the volume and attempting to upcharge us. Verified Moving Pros did nothing to help and then took the other side despite our video, photo, and audio evidence. Here's an email my wife sent:They arrived at our place during their allotted window and as soon as they arrived, we signed contracts with them prior to them moving our items into their truck. We did not get an estimate of the cubic footage of our items prior to signing the contract with Masters Moving **** We understood that we had an agreement with Verified Moving Pros that the cubic footage of our items had to be less than ~285 cubic feet. Once all the items were moved into their moving vehicle, ****, their *******, estimated that our items filled ~600 cubic feet of their truck. When we actually measured their truck, we found that actually our items fit UNDER the 285 cubic feet requirement. (We have attached pictures of the truck, and of our measurements of the truck to this email). **** attested that our items filled 2.5 "lines" (or sections) of the truck and that each line/section was 240 cubic feet. However, when we measured the lines of the truck, and the width and height of the truck, we quickly realized that this was a lie. Each section was not 240 cubic feet was actually around 100 cubic feet. Thus if our items filled 2.5 lines of the truck, it would be under our ~285 cubic feet requirement. The situation escalated with Masters moving *** escaping in their truck with all of our items without notice. We then talked to ****'s boss at Masters Moving *** and he threatened that we would not get our items back if we did not pay **** dollars to them via Zelle. We ended up making the payment and received our items back. We feel like we have been cheated.Review fromVandana B

1 starThe worst experience i ever had, I was looking for movers on line and as soon as i entered my phone # they contacted me and talked to me and told me that they will pick up my stuff from IIndiana storage on either 06/22/2023 or 06/23/2023 between 9am to 12pm and or 4 pm to 7 pm and i was promised that some one from their company will call me on 06/21/2023 and give me time of pick up. They have taken my personal check on line for ******* and said when truck guy comes you have to pay him another half of ******* . when i signed a contract i specifically told them that i will be there at my storage only up to 06/23/2023, and they agreed to pick up my stuff by 7 pm latest on 06/23/203. no one contacted me on 06/21/2023 and 06/22/2023. i kept calling but false hope was given to me that .they will be there. On 06/23/2023 at 2pm some another movers called and told me that truck is in traffic and will arrive at 1 am on 06/24/203., right after some one else called me and told me that truck will come at 7am on 06/24/2023. I have already checked out from my hotel and has to catch a flight to come back to **. . i called them and told them since you did not keep your promise i am entitlrd to refund now they telling me that i cancelled and refund will not be given to me whereas they did not perform services in time and now i am calling them and no one is answering I need my refund of ******* and they better give it to me I need BBB to contact them and have my refund come to me pl. I would say they are very inefficient and should not be trusted at all. .Review fromSusan C

1 starI called Verified Moving Pros to get a quote on a moving truck on June 1, 2023. The man I talked to, *****, from *******, was a very smooth talker and talked me into giving the company a down payment on a truck, saying I had 3 days to change my mind. On June 2, 2023, I tried calling ***** several times with no luck. I called the main office with the following message: "My name is ***** *****. I wish to cancel the moving truck I set up with ***** yesterday. The order number is X2604277. I am going the the bank to stop payment of $1177.00. I tried calling you, but you keep hanging up on me. Call me to cancel this order. 330-***-****". The girl in the office, ****************, called me and I told her I wanted to cancel the truck. She said I had to call *****, on Saturday, June 3, to do that. I tried calling him several times on June 3, 2023 and finally got a hold of him and told him I wanted to cancel the truck. I then went to my bank and made sure the trucking company couldn't take my money. When I got home I got on the computer, to my bank site, and transferred most of my money from the checking account to my savings account. On Monday, June 5, 2023 I got a text from my bank that there was an attempt to take out the deposit I made out to the trucking company in the amount of $1177.00, I called the bank and had to go in to sign a paper and had them put stop payment on that check. That company is not allowed to take money from my account in the future. It sure was a hassle to do all that just because the trucking company is shady. That company should be shut down. They don't deserve a star rating of any kind.
