Star auto parts . Said they were going to refund me for parts they could get . For the amount of $175 . They never sent me my refund . Everyone I call they said they are sending it . Only for it to never come . First they said they would refund my card . Never did . Then said they would send me a check it never came . This has been going on for on for a couple months now . I would also like to file a complaint about the fact that it was almost 2 mouths for me to get all my parts . They promised me that I would get my parts within 10 days . It says it rite there on there website . Because of this I when past the 30 days allowed by my insurance company for the rental car . Costing me an additional $160 dollars . For the extra rental days . They said they would also pay that and never did . The gentleman sales and service representative I was speaking to name is ******. He is a very untruthful person. On 1/20/2025 ordered a turn/park signal assembly for a 1995 Chrysler LHS. Was told that I would be sent a photo of the part before the transaction would be approved, giving me a chance to cancel the order. On 1/23/2025 my account was deducted the amount of $205.00 before receiving any photos of the part. Tried calling Star Auto Parts back and cannot get anyone to answer. Now I have to go through my credit union to get this resolved. I have read some other complaints about this company and this seems to be something that they do to unsuspecting consumers.Initial Complaint

Purchased a 2012 **************** for $2k that they claimed had 59k miles on it. Not even 15k miles driven and motor started knocking and clunked out. I believe they are selling duds and lying about the mileage so they can get top dollar. Called to price another motor 110k miles for $1800 they suck!Initial Complaint

JUNE 7 2024 Ordered a Rare Part for my 2006 Pontiac Solstice. Cntre Consol Cover Bage. Size 1 ft 8in Basically a Plastic Substrate covered with Vinyl. Mine the plastic Substrate was Cracked. Called Star Auto Parts ************** attention *******. They sourced the part and sent it . Right part but Cracked Substrate like my original. $ 300 usd + $147 *** Boarder crossing charge C.O.D. Called them for a Refund and they insisted they send another one . Repeat problem as the 1st part. Sent it back . They said they would refund 1.5 months ago. No Response. Called twice and twice was told they would get back . No response. I got my C.O.D. Refund from *** . Nothing from *********. That's $ 414 Canadian I'm out ????Initial Complaint

Purchase Alternator on 10.04.24 was suppose to be shipped and received within 72 hours. Called on 10.09.24 Wednesday had not been shipped at all. Told me it would be picked up by 3 pm that day and shipped. I requested a tracking number in which he would not supply nor take my calls afterwards. On 8/7/2024 I purchase a 1996 ****** Tercel Transmission MT 5 Speed from this location, they assure me it was the correct transmission as this is very difficult to find, when the transmission arrived it was a 4-speed transmission instead of a 5 speed. When I call the place, they told me that it was my assumption that it was not the correct one, I mentioned to them I have been working with cars for more than 20 years and can very well differentiate a 5 speed from a 4 speed. I mention to them that I would like to send it back since it's no use for me, they agreed to receive it back, but they told me that I would have to do the arrangements to send back myself and they will refund the money once it was received. I sent it back and sent them the receipt for the shipping cost as well to get everything refund however, they only refunded the amount for the transmission and NOT the shipping of the wrong transmission which was $563.42. So now I do not have the transmission and I'm five hundred dollars less because of something that it was not my fault. I try calling them, and they block my number. My wife called, spoke with some guy named "****** *** that said in 30 minutes I was going to receive an email with the shipping refund information and of course I never got the email or the refund and now they have blocked her number as well.Initial Complaint

Unfortunately, anyone reading this complaint has very likely already been scammed by Star Auto Parts.The subject part is for a 2011 SAAB 9-5 Aero Second Generation Body Style. This part is very rare. Star Auto Parts was the only vendor to represent that they had the salvaged used part in good condition.I agreed to the Star Auto Parts emailed part photo on July 3, 2014. Prior to this approval, I had was invoiced for the part on June 24 and my credit card was debit6ed on June 25 and again on June 27. My credit card was debited $200,00 for this part twice, initially on June 25 and June 27. .I was originally quoted $ ****** plus approximately $ ***** shipping for the part. Star Auto Parts advised that they were a third party in the transaction and and the additional cost was due to their internal transaction costs. ************* does not have a sales tax.Star Auto parts advised that they would email the *** shipping date and tracking information. Star Auto Parts never provided the shipping information and later advised that *** has "lost" the shipment.I had three (3) phone conversations with Star Auto Parts. Prior to *** losing t he part shipment, Star Auto Parts had agreed to to refund the second $ ****** debt to my credit card. After *** lost the shipment, Star Auto Parts agreed to refund the original $ ****** payment for the lost part.To date Star Auto Parts. has not fulfilled their promise to refund my credit card the total paid amount of $ 400.00.I have filed a credit card fraud claim with my credit card bank and voided the credit card. The bank looks at he credit card p payment for the the second $ ****** charge as fraud and the original credit card payment as a required refund tor a purchase delivery not fulfilled.I am waiting for the bank to provide their final determination. On Friday June 21st I spoke with Premium Auto in reference to being sold a bad part after requesting further pictures of the backside of the unit.******************* told me and my witness to the conversation on the phone that he would call me back on Tuesday, June 25th. I have not heard from you and I gave you the remainder of the week to contact me.Due to being sold a bad part I am requesting a refund for the installation. Now I have to do this all over again because I was sold a bad part by Premium Parts.Here are the facts about the purchase:Was sent a pic of part #JHA012 (the first pic I was sent). Received an email asking me to approve this unit ****** with 3 pictures. (attached) *********** never sent me any new pictures of the backside of the unit because it was a bad part. Said pictures were never sent and a week passed. Never heard back.*********** delay put me in a difficult position as my car was unable to be in any moisture.After waiting a week without any additional pictures I called and was told the part "is in ********* ". What?The bad part should of never been a part of your inventory especially with a business name of "Premium Parts".I am requesting a complete refund of $1049.84 to be paid to my card I purchased the part with. I was told these are are new and photos would be sent of the parts. They charge my CC without and proof of the parts exists and they ARE USED i doubt they word since they are now 23 years old. rubber air springs.Customer Answer
