    On 3/18 I bought a car at hills auto world at the wauchula location. I looked over the vehicle and took a very short drive around the block. I was told by the saleswoman Billy jo Hill before test driving it that there were 2 indicator lights that were on and a loud clicking noise when you turned the AC from hot to cold that they thought could be something stuck in the fan but there was nothing mechanically wrong with it. The dash lights were for a gas cap they had replaced and the light was just not reset properly the other was for low tire pressure cause one of the rear tires was going to need replacement soon. Although I only test drove it a block or 2 there didn't appear to be any problems mechanically speaking anyway with the car so When I returned to the lot I said ok I would take it. Her response was are you sure and I asked her why should I not be and was there something she wasn't telling me and I said is there some recall or something on it by the manufacturer and she said no that she just had people that would have buyers remorse and come back to return cars I said ok well if there is something I can come back and have your shop look at it right she said yes. I drove the car home 12.3 miles where it sat for 4 days. The next time I used it was on 3/22 to go pick up my daughter 6 miles away in the next town over on the way back the vehicle lost all acceleration capabilities in the middle of a busy highway at speeds above 55mph nearly causing myself and my daughter to become the victims of a horrific and Potentially deadly crash when the semi truck trailer behind us missed us by merely inches. Had I not reacted as quickly to move onto the shoulder you might not have received this complaint. I had my mechanic look at it and he told me there is and issue with the transmission control unit and the vehicle has 2 active safety recalls on it and that there is no way the dealer didn't know this seeing as he was driving it for the 2 weeks prior to the sale.

Ms. ****** was the one that picked out the 2012 Jeep Compass she was never pushed or forced to purchase the vehicle she also took the vehicle out for a test drive, and she liked the Jeep. During the time of the sale, she signed all her paperwork as well with the Buyers Guide that reads AS-IS NO WARRANTY and the Warranty Disclaimer that reads AS-IS NO WARRANTY as well. There was never a warranty implied on the vehicle.
