I hired Full House Public Adjusters LLC to help me with a house claim for bathroom damage against ****************** .Date contacted 4/14/2021..Loss Date 4/7/2021 Policy number HPH017924.In return they hired Get Dry *** to help with the damage. On 5/4/2021 I met with ***************** and signed agreement with them and on 6/7/2021 they came to my home and supplied me with services.I never got a bill from them until I asked my adjuster to supply me with a bill.I never got a bill directly from them but an attorney got involved when we couldnt settle the claim. The Attorney *********************** PLLC ***************************************************** settled this case and asked me to send them 2 checks to go to Get Dry and the adjuster. Full House. The bill for Get Dry was $2533.15 and 20% of the settlement to the adjuster. I sent 2 checks to the attorney dated, giving me time for it to clear and found that the Get Dry bill was more $3690,03 I tried talking to them about the bill but he just said I settled for to little and threatened me if I Contact BBB he would sue **** was over charged for there services, and felt I over paid. On top of this over payment i was left a whole in my ceiling and wall that was going to cost me to fix as well as the original damage.I never thought I was going to get burnt from anyone being they were hired from from this adjuster, Request to be refunded $1156.88 I sent the monies to the attorney because I needed the money to get the damage started to be fixed.Business Response

We are sorry ************** feels overcharged. He did have mold damage and the attached report shows the work that was completed. We only mitigate mold and water issues. We do not replace or repair. Our service put ****************** home in a clean and healthy state as far as mold in concerned, per the post test attached done buy an independent company. The Initial test will show the mold level before our services. We bill insurance companies directly as to not have additional burden on clients while they have there home in disarray is why ************** did not receive a copy of the invoice when our services were rendered. He choose to have an attorney settle the claim as a lump settlement which would entail him needing to pay us directly. We are sorry ************** feels wronged in the process and we stand by our services and the amount of our invoice.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: They never gave or sent me a bill at any point and they should have sent me one, I didn t have an attorney at this point when they did the work at my home.So they are lying about this along with water damage there was very min They were sent by the adjuster, The should have told me there rates that they didnt,I am questioning that and also why the bill sent to me is a different amount, The adjuster had the lawyer because the insurance company didnt want to pay on this claim . They are lying about that but they have to live with that but to tell me if I get the bbb involved they ***************** please. I dont see this company looking to refund me anything but Im giving them the chance to before it cost alot more for court charges, Once I go farther on this and there are charges its going to cost more ,The right thing to do is at least come half way on this to avoid a court appearance .This isnt a threat at any means I would rather settle our difference like people. They left my wall and ceiling cut open and put some paper boards on it to temp ***** it and then it cost me **** to have a drywall comp come and close it up and paint then deal with the popcorn matching. This company didnt help the problem they added to it .,They open they should have closed it .The bill I got was over $1000 over the bill I got from the attorney.Only reason why i paid it was they wouldnt give me the monies to even start the repairs .I tried to talk to them before this complaint but they didnt care, the tried to blame the lawyer for not getting enough monies .So wrong for them to say and mix it to and to think all these people work together all the time So wrong At this point I will go to the nextewd step . if no monies are offered ..Thank you
Sincerely,

This is our response to **************** allegations.
We were contacted by *************** adjuster to address a mold is*** at his residence. We met with ************** and explained the process with him. We explained that under his "mold coverage" he has coverage for remediation and that we would agree to do the remediation and bill his carrier directly for the work completed and that we would not bill him directly and would accept a negotiated settlement with the carrier for work performed. We explained we had to to testing by a third party to show the species of mold and acquired a protocol for work that needed to be completed. We paid out of pocket for this test as the testing company does not bill insurance directly. ************** signed a work authorization and a direct pay authorization on 5/4/21 for us to complete the work and bill the carrier direct. We received the results of the test 5/10/21. We then set up appt to complete the work 5/24/21. We then paid for the post remediation verification test and received results on 5/28/21 to show we completed the project and he received clearance the mold had been remediated, We billed the carrier direct $998 for the testing. On 6/7/21 we billed the carrier directly for the remediation for the amount of $2,533.15.
Under ****************** policy he had $10,000 for mold remediation. That coverage is for mold remediation only and would not be paid to the insured under this coverage, only to the remediation company after the work was performed and coverage was afforded. ****************** claim was denied and with that so was our request for payment. ( we took a chance of getting paid nothing at all for our out of pocket as well as our invoice). ************** had to *** the carrier for payment to indemnify him for his claim. In doing so the atty had to make sure we were also paid for our services. In the final settlement our bill was paid in the proceeds as a lump sum payment and our invoice was paid to ************** directly at which time he had to forward the payment to us. We went above expectations with ******************' remediation project by placing insulation board over the affected areas so he had some sort of normalcy while he had to wait for settlement, Most companies just put up plastic.
We were finally forwarded our payment on 9/1/22 approx. 16 months after we started this project and at no time did we ask ************** for payment. We were paid our $998 for testing, $2,692.03 for the work performed and $158.88 for interest due on our invoices.
As I have stated ************** would not have received the money for the remediation in his settlement anyway because the coverage is for remediation only. We have been professional through this whole process and we don't believe we owe ************** a discount. We carried this note for 15 months with out of pocket expenses for testing, labor, materials and insurances. If ************** was not happy with his settlement he should have addressed it with his attorney and we are sorry he feels like he has overpaid us for our services as this is not the case.

I am rejecting this response because :at no time was I advised that there was going to be interest tacked on, and this is the first I am hearing of it. I did not hire this company, they contacted me through the public adjuster. The arrangements of payment was never discussed with me, they must have been discussed with the adjuster. I was never informed that there going to be over a $900 charge to have the mold tested. Going back when I first questioned the bill and asked that they work with me with the charges, they never informed me of any of this. When they came to my home originally they advised me that most of the time they do not even collect on any claims and at that point I said to them it's pretty sad. At no point, until I made it an issue with the Better Business Bureau did they advise me of the charges. As of the date of this letter, I never saw any bill other than the one that I have stating interest charges or the mold bill. The only ********** received, as I stated, is the one I submitted a copy to the BBB. At this point anything can be written up. When I approached them and told them I was not happy with the bill they told me to ask the adjuster or lawyer to adjust there bill, and they wanted to talk to them. I feel I got beat because the amount that the adjuster had for the work needed to fix my damage went up because of the labor charges, and the cost of materials also went up because of covid 19.. To charge me interest on waiting was never told to me ,nor was any of the bill.I was threatened about complaining to the BBB, were they told me they would sue ***** not asking them to not charge for the work done but to charge me for services that werent needed, I am. .My reporting this over payment and charges to me is not fair. This company should have given me a bill and a bill for all parts of the work, The bill I have says ****** is complete and it was $2533.15.I asked the lawyer for a copy of the bill and thats what I got/.In the settlement the lawyer asked me for 2 dated checks from me and they sent the checks to them,I am asking to be refunded the difference that they asked the lawyer for and the bill . That clearly say on it that this is for all work and all work is complete. nothin about any other charges. the plaster board that was put over the 2 wholes were ************* and i had to pay to have it fixed as well. They never told me that they werent going to fix it. I f I need to go to court I will be asking for court charges as well as the 2 new charges .I didnt go to court ,it was settled out of court and i have spoken to all parties about the bill. The right thing to do is refund monies charged after 2533.15.Lets work this out to avoid having to go to small claims...
Sincerely,

This is the last time *************** to this.
Per ** Statutes I CANNOT give money back to the client from an insurance proceed. It is considered rebating. This money was paid from the mold coverage portion of his insurance to us. IT WAS FOR REMEDIATION ONLY AND HE WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN ANY PAYMENT FROM THIS COVERAGE AS A PAYMENT TO HIM. Although he was paid from the attorney in a lump sum he was then to pay us from the billing we sent to the carrier. Therefor any money we would return to him will be considered paying down his deductible or copayment.
************** by threatening to *** us unless we give him money back is Coercion. At this point we are being harrassed by ************** and it needs to stop. We will not be giving any proceeds back to ************** as any monies returned would have to be to the Insurance carrier. See the below statement from the Fl Statutes..
(817.234)
d) A contractor, or a person acting on behalf of a contractor, may not knowingly or willfully and with intent to injure, defraud, or deceive, pay, waive, or rebate all or part of an insurance deductible applicable to payment to the contractor, or a person acting on behalf of a contractor, for repairs to property covered by a property insurance policy. A person who violates this paragraph commits a third degree felony, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
AGAIN ANY MONEY RETURNED TO ************** COULD BE CONSTRUED BY THE CARRIER AS A REBATE OF HIS DEDUCTIBLE OR COPAYMENT AND WE WILL NOT DO IT.

I am rejecting this response because:This isnt a threat of any type. This Company is just full of lies. The money collected has nothing to do with my deductible. This company is just feeding more lies. They charged me more than the bill that they sent my laywer. It has NOTHING to do with my deductible and I'm not threatening this company to *** them I am tring to work it out with them as that's what the bbb is all about. If this cant be worked out the nexted step is to ***.I dont want to go this rout but they are leavin no choice in this ************* was over paid according to the bill I was sent.I spoke to MY lawyers office and advised them of the is*** and they will stand by me. I did speak to this company a few times and they threatened me in fact they told me if I contact the bbb they would *** me. My only mistake was to give the lawyer a dated check for payment to them before seeing the bill . At this point I Will contact my lawyers office and move forward.
Sincerely,
