  Take your money elsewhere or just throw them out the window - it'll be less stressful. Pure scam (as per department of transportation brochure). They smooth talk you into an initial deposit, low balling it shamelessly and promising you the moon. Once they got your deposit money, second act begins with someone calling you as they please, strong arming you to pay double or lose the move and the money. I didn't wait for the third act. Never seen my deposit back despite no service provided.

  I don't think that my move could have gone worse. I originally agreed to pay $4k for a move of hardly even a 1bed1bath apartment (I was only there for a year so didn't have much). I was told that the company was not a broker company- surprise, it is. I dealt with three different parties. Each of which gave me different prices on services and strong armed me into paying more and more at each step. I overestimated the sq ft to avoid being charged additional fees and they insisted that I had to pay another $175 for essentially one rug that wasn't on my inventory list, even though I didn't end up using the 20 boxes that I estimated. Then I got charged an additional $540 (I was given $540 by one company and $590 by another). I was told and assured multiple times (over email) that I would not be charged an elevator fee. I was. I was constantly having to call and clarify charges since I was told something different by every person I spoke to. In the end, I was so exhausted that I gave up and paid. I'm a night shift critical care nurse. I simply do not have the energy to fight back being bullied out of money over the course of weeks. The communication is awful, the hidden fees are astounding, and they still broke my stuff somehow. The guy that showed up to move my stuff was left hanging since none of the movers even showed up as well. The whole move was absolutely horrendous.

  Just know they are a broker so it's more about who they subcontract with...in our case Real Movers who was actual moving company...picked up on August 1st, not delivered until November 19, had to pay additional $9000 the day of pickup or stuff would stay, compensated $15/business day for the very late delivery after many weeks of sleeping on a borrowed couch, moving company's communication was inconsistent and often inaccurate, multiple broken items with some lost ones....offered $90 for thousands of dollars of damage. Of many moves, this was the most stressful and unpleasant. Ended up feeling relieved that we ultimately got most of our possessions

  This is a terrible moving service and that you should avoid at all costs. After booking our move and paying them $1700, all they did was subcontract a different moving service. None of the money we paid to New Leaf went toward the cost of our actual move. They also grossly misrepresented the timeframe for delivery of our shipment. Upon booking, they said it would take up to 7 days for our move from Colorado to California. It actually took a full calendar month for our shipment to be delivered. During that time, I called New Leaf on multiple occasions asking for an update. They never provided any information updating me about the status of my shipment. Every time I called, the representative said they would check on it and get back to me. Never once did they return a phone call and provide that status update. I had to find the contact information for the subcontracted company to obtain that update myself. After I did that, it was clear that no one from New Leaf had made even a modest effort to check on the status of my shipment. Stay as far away from this company as possible. They will take your money and leave you hanging. I'd file for a refund, but their blatant lack of professionalism and unresponsiveness suggests that would be yet another waste of my time.

  New leaf did an awesome job and moved fast. Thats really all i ask for because i was in a time crunch. Nothing damaged or broken, no funny business on the cost, I truly had 0 issues with these guys
