******, the original reason why we did the loan for ****** was because we were going to be completely in charge of the job, we were going to do the plumbing and the put back of your home,  I spent 2 weeks trying to get you guys approved for the loan, after we finally got you approved with your mom as a co-signer we started the job  within 2-3 days, because you guys had to relocate to an air bnb, as we were cutting the concrete and replacing sewer pipes in your home.  On the first day we were onsite yall changed your mind on us doing the entire job and you guys decided you wanted to be your own *** The loan docs had already been signed by your mom and you and completed, I was told that since they were signed I couldnt modify the documents. The next day the funding was in my account for your job.  I instantly went to my bank and got a $30,000 cashiers check for you.

im sorry there were delays on your job, theres always the posibily of that happening, especially when the homeowner wants to become the ***  We have completed all inspections and the permits have been closed out with the ************** building ***** all are approved and passed.

We do not accept American PHCs attempt to shift blame for the delays, mismanagement, and financial issues we experienced during our project. Their response contains misleading statements, omissions of key facts, and outright falsehoods. Below is a detailed rebuttal addressing each of their claims:

      1. The Loan & Funding Timeline
American PHC claims that it took two weeks to get loan approval and that they could not modify the loan amount after signing. This is false.
Funding was not the reason for the delay. American PHC actually began work before obtaining the necessary permit, proving that loan approval was not an issue.
We were repeatedly told by American PHC that the loan amount could not be changed, but when we spoke directly with the financing company, they confirmed that modifications were absolutely possible.
We have names, dates, and recorded calls proving that American PHC misrepresented the loan process and refused to correct it.

      2. They Tried to Get Full Payment Before the Job Was Done
American PHC pressured us to sign off that the project was complete so they could receive full payment beforeall work was actually finished.
When we refused to do so, things suddenly started going downhilldelays worsened, communication became even more difficult, and the level of professionalism declined.
It became clear that once they realized they werent getting paid in full upfront, they lost interest in completing the job properly.

      3. Failed Inspections Due to Poor Planning
One of the biggest delays was entirely avoidableAmerican PHC failed to schedule a required floor inspection, despite us informing them multiple days in advance that it was needed.
The owner dismissed our concerns, saying he never needed one before, and as a result, the inspection was not scheduled.
By the time he realized he did, the inspection office had already closed, delaying the project further.
Then, when he finally scheduled the inspection, he scheduled the wrong one, causing even more unnecessary delays.
This is not the fault of us acting as our own GCthis was sheer incompetence on their part.

      4. Unpermitted Work & Repeated Inspection Failures
American PHC started the job before securing the proper permits, which is unprofessional and irresponsible.
Delays were not caused by us acting as our own GC, but rather by multiple failed inspections, which were due to their own work not passing county requirements.
We also had to beg them to get the concrete poured, and when they finally did, they delayed it unnecessarily, forcing our tile work to be completed during the week instead of the weekend as planned.

      5. Unnecessary Demolition of a Drywall Wall
American PHC took down an entire wall of drywall without authorization, significantly increasing the amount of work and costs for us.
Their excuse was that they thought it would be easier for us to replace a whole wall than cut into sections.
This was never agreed upon. It was not easier for usthis was their mistake, and instead of owning up to it, they tried to justify their error at our expense.

      6. Unprofessional Work Hours & Poor Scheduling
Their workers consistently arrived after noon and often stayed until 8 PM or later, which is unprofessional and contributed to delays.
This lack of proper scheduling made the project drag out far beyond the estimated timeline.

      7. Repeated Damage to Brand New Fixtures & Dismissive Attitude
Throughout the project, American PHC repeatedly broke and damaged brand-new fixtures, adding further costs and frustration.
When we expressed our dissatisfaction, instead of taking responsibility, they mocked us and called us "complainers."
This was an incredibly unprofessional response to valid concerns about their work quality.

      8. False Claims About Our Behavior
American PHC falsely claimed that my husband and I were constantly fighting while they were working in our home.
This is completely untrue and irrelevant to the issues at ***** blatant attempt to shift blame away from their own failures.
We also have proof that the owner himself stated, there was no timeline on our project, which shows that delays were entirely due to their own mismanagement.

      9. Unresolved Damages & Outstanding Balance
American PHC still owes us over $900 for damages, missing/stolen tools, and a water bill caused by their plumber leaving a valve open over the weekend, flooding our yard.
We have made multiple attempts to get reimbursed, but they have refused to take responsibility.

      Final Statement
Any delays on this project were entirely caused by American PHCnot us. They failed inspections, worked without permits, arrived late, removed an entire drywall wall without permission, repeatedly damaged new fixtures, tried to pressure us into signing off on unfinished work, and refused to take responsibility for financial mismanagement and damages.
Instead of handling complaints professionally, they chose to gaslight us, mock our concerns, ignore inspection requirements, and make false statements to deflect blame.
We stand by our complaint and will pursue further action if this matter is not resolved *********************************************************

We went to this clients house after hours several times because her husband works and he was doing the ** work after hours, we were trying to get through this job and close out the permit and move on.  Her claims are 100% false we went above and beyond for this client just like we do other clients.  The permit is approved and closed.  I reject her false claims.  I really do wish her well.

      Complaint: 22934962

I am rejecting this response because:
The claim that delays were caused by my husband acting as the ** is completely false. During the periods when American PHC staff arrived late and stayed late, there was no work that my husband could have done because we were still waiting for them to complete the installation of fixtures.

Additionally, before we even had livable access to the home, my husband was unable to proceed with his portion of the work because American PHC had not yet poured the concretea necessary step before any of his work could begin. Despite their assurances, the concrete was not poured until more than a month after the project was originally supposed to be completed, further proving that the delays were caused by American PHCnot us.

Even if there were any delays on our end, that still does not negate the fact that American PHC owes us over $900 for damages, missing items, and excess water usage caused by their plumber leaving a valve open over the weekend, which flooded our yard.

Furthermore, due to American PHCs delays and mismanagement, we incurred over $5,600 in additional costs for temporary lodging and pet care expenses. While we are not formally demanding reimbursement for these expenses at this time, we firmly believe that American PHC should take full responsibility for the financial hardship they caused.

We will not accept any response other than one that acknowledges and resolves this outstanding balance of $920.50. **************************************************

I have called numerous (over 25 times) to cancel my silver monthly service plan with this business. I have been told for the last 6 months that the system has been down. This is when I actually get to speak with someone. My call goes directly to voicemail and I have never gotten a callback. Sent e-mails regarding this and they don't go thru or are ignored. Never apologized for me having to deal with this or amount of time it has taken or the lack of communication. As I stated nobody ever called me back! I'm happy to name some names and I've got receipts which I will add if needed for resolution to include texts! This is not how you treat your customers!

Attached is copy of email sent on 7 October 2024 to Mr. ******** **** that went un-responded. I can get copies of call logs going back months for calling what seems to be their main number in ********, ******* which is ************ and is listed on their website if necessary? Not sure if they are screening their calls but whenever I have called just sends me to voicemail which I have left probably 10 messages within the last month and probably called over 30 times in the last 6 months. I also have texts between myself and Mr. **** that seemed to go nowhere. I don't want to have to track all this down....I just want resolution for back-paying me and getting the charged cancelled so I'm not charged every month. Their excuse for months has been their system is down. I'm a reasonable person, if system is down keep me updated on progress of cancelling and in the meantime credit me back charges or send me a check. I can also show these charges on my card if needed as well?

I am rejecting this response because although they did refund my money I haven't received anything that tells me that the monthly subscription plan has been cancelled. Please provide proof that this has been stopped so that I am not continuing to receive a charge on my bill on or around the 17th of every month. This is the basis of what I have been trying to get done all along.

      Sincerely,

We no longer have access to that data base.  Im every sorry I cant help you guarantee that the charges wont continue to occur.  We arent receiving the funds but we did reimburse you.  My best advise is to cancel the credit card.  Im very sorry for your inconvenience.

I am rejecting this response because:

Again, the main reason for my complaint is not that I didnt get a refund but because I could not get this monthly subscription plan cancelled. I have never heard of Southern Efficiency but can tell you that when we originally called for ac repair we called American Plumbing and Heating. The truck that showed up said American Plumbing and Heating. I really cant believe your answer is just cancel your cardthat is not a response but more of a deflection on doing your due diligence in getting this matter taken care of. Funny thing is this was never mentioned to me on the  times there was communication. Anything short of proof that I wont be charged wont cut it.regardless of who the company was or is that still falls on American Plumbing and Heating.
      Sincerely,

      ****** ******
