We had our oil changed by your techs on rt.**************************. They forgot to tighten oil pan nut properly resulting in our car to loose oil on freeway . We towed car to our mechanic and documented everything. Mechanic stated you were at fault, have pictures to prove.. went to your manager at facility and he said " no refund". Didn't care about the situation. I hope this is not the way you do business and want to settle for oil change, towing and mechanic to change oil the right way.

    Good morning,

I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced that day with the service at Take 5 and the delayed response to your complaint. The shop that you visited at ****************************** is a Franchise location meaning it is privately owned and operated. The shop will have to handle all service failures themselves. I have forwarded along your email complaint to that shop's management and ownership team to review. They will reach out to you regarding this matter. I have also asked the BBB team to send this complaint to the right team to address.

    Thank you,

I brought two different vehicles in on the same day in October for oil changes. Since then both vehicles have been leaking oil. I have brought the car back numerous times for them to attempt to fix the problem. They have tried bigger plugs and to apply a sealant of some sort. Neither has worked, car is still leaking oil all over my driveway and garage.

I went in for a standard oil change on 08/29/24 9:00am. When the service was done I received the bill and paid and then left. While driving, the thought of the bill came to mind and I thought to myself that total seems high. When I stopped I looked closer at the receipt and noticed I was charged $14.99 for an oil filter. In the past I remembered the oil filter was always included. I called Take5 customer service and asked if I should have been charged for an oil filter, the *** said no you should have not been charged for that. The *** had me scan my receipt and confirmed she received my scan and took all of my contact information. The *** told me that the regional manager would be contacting me soon. I have not received a response yet. Since no response yet, I left a 1 star ****** review for Take5 explaining my experience. After that I got a response from Take5 saying Sorry for the experience, see if you can find Take5 coupons for savings. *** already decided Im not using this company for oil changes ever again. I would like to receive a $14.99 credit for the overcharge.

Date of transaction: 8/8/2024 Payment: $287.78 Vehicle: Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018 ****** miles Company commitment: Quality maintenance/service check and oil change Nature of dispute: Upon departing Take 5 Oil Change @ 4771 ***************************** after oil change and arriving to my home I received oil warnings on my dash and there was a significant leak of oil on my driveway and garage. I called Take 5 and they dispatched a technician to my home and he mentioned that the filter was cocked in the housing and he needed to replace the filter again. He replaced the filter and tightened it down manually with a ratchet as opposed to a torque wrench. I mentioned I was going to an appointment in ********** and I needed an assurance that the condition was corrected. He was confidant the leak was corrected. Upon arriving in ********** I received the same oil warnings and I stopped at a auto repair shop: Affordable Auto. Affordable Auto diagnosed my discrepancy and informed me that the technicians at Take 5 over torqued the oil filter housing and cracked the unit and the damage was causing all of the oil to leak from the vehicle. Affordable Auto corrected the condition and I paid a total of $1,778. I have made 8 phone calls and 3 visits to the Take 5 business and I have never received a phone call back and the managers on duty simply say they have forwarded the issue to corporate yet they will not provide any detail or resolution. I have left messages with the corporate "contact us" line without any call backs or resolution. I plan to continue to pursue a refund. If necessary I will elevate and litigate as required.

I brought my 2019 ****** Tacoma to Take 5 Oil Change #1135 for an oil change on 7/3/24. This vehicle had in the neighborhood of ***** prior oil changes by other service shops prior to being serviced by this Take 5 franchise on this date.2 days later I noticed oil dripping on my garage floor, with no prior drips over a 4year period of ownership.I brought it back to the same Take 5 location. There was not a manager on duty. The tech(s) on duty looked at it and said that the oil was coming from the oil pan gasket and used my phone to take pictures to show me. At that point, I took his word for it. I drove 1/4 mile home and climbed under the vehicle to observe it with my own eyes. I found oil dripping from the drain plug directly every ***** seconds. I took a video of this to show and found no oil was originating from the oil pan gasket. I then immediately took it to my local ****** dealership for a diagnosis and repair. Subsequently the dealership confirmed and advised that the active drip was in fact originating directly from the drain plug, and the residue near the pan seal was just blow back of oil from the direct source of the leak. They recommended replacement of the oil pan. From there, I called the Take 5 Oil Change location to speak to a manager (****). He was not on duty but asked me to take it to him on Saturday 7/13/24, which I did. He looked at it and made the same claim that his techs did a couple of days prior, that no oil was not coming from the oil plug. I tried to show him the video showing it dripping every 45 seconds or so, but he did not even want to see it. He was quite rude, along w/ another tech (*****) who got in my face mouthing off to me. I asked for the store owner's contact, which he refused to provide. At this point I am considering small claims action, as the pan replacement by the dealership is several hundred dollars.

On 10/2/23 the Take 5 in question overcharged me and underperformed. My "25%" veteran discount on a bill of $51.99 (plus shop service charge and taxes) was $7.80. When I pointed out to my attendant, ****, that this was nowhere near 25% he said, "They must have changed it."Contrary to the checklist on the invoice, my windshield was not cleaned and the residue from a recent shower suggests the wiper blades were not "OK" as checked. And my name is *****, not ****, as **** wrote it. Nor did they replace the sticker that shows when my next oil change is due.I was too tired to make an issue of it on the spot, and attempts to complain via the Take 5 website were futile ("Something went wrong. Try again later.") and a phone call was not returned. It's just a matter of a few dollars, but if they use an algorithm to calculate military/veteran discounts they are cheating countless people, in addition to providing poor service. They might warrant an investigation.

We would like to apologize and refund him the $6.50. There was an issue with the coupon and we will make it right. Please have the customer come by the office and we will refund him via cash.

On 4/8/2022 I Took my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee for an oil change. Notice the man working on my engine cover was frustrated as he was tightening a bolt rather than loosening it. Manager came over and showed him. When the oil change was completed, I paid the $56.69 and left.On 5/19/2022 while in Nokomis, about 30 miles south, I notice the smell of oil when I got out of my vehicle and looked beneath and oil was all over the place, and a puddle was forming.I Had it towed to a close repair shop, where the manager told me the next day it seemed the oil cooler was bad and would have to be replaced, the cost was $3800. The Engine cover was cracked from the bolt too tight, I gave him a deposit of $1000 and then found out it was covered under warranty, but a Jeep dealership had to perform the repair. He refunded the $1000 to me as he understood, I had the jeep towed to the closest dealership, ******** Jeep in Venice. Two days later the dealership explained it was not the oil cooler, which was bad, but the ******* housing which had been improperly installed and "cross threaded". Furthermore, the oil was blown all over the engine well, as well as the bottom of the vehicle, the back and required a lot of cleaning which they also serviced.I was out of town, and upon returning I had to pay the dealership a total of $618.86 for the repairs.I called take 5, spoke to the manager, he said I had to email the complaint and he'd send it along to management. I have called and emailed again, but no return email or calls at all.
