I am extremely satisfied with mid coast roofing. I had no problems whatsoever. They completed my roof over my addition and whole house tile roof. During cleanup they did miss a nail that punctured my yard persons tire. When I told ***** about it he went to the persons house and reimbursed him for his loss . Who does that in this day snd age?

In mid-June, I asked Mid-Coast Roofing to bid on replacing my roof. I received a contract proposal on June 19 from Sales Manager Bill H. While he was at my house, I told him that I needed to wait a few weeks to get started because of a foundation repair project ongoing at my house which could affect the roof deck. The sales manager said that would be fine. This week on August 12 after the foundation repair completed, I contacted Bill H. to inform him that I approved his contract, and to ask him to go ahead with the work. His response was that he no longer wanted to do my reroof job. He gave me a lame excuse about the roof deck being too soft in places, yet when we were standing on the roof together and we both tested the mushy spots, Bill H. told me would do the job. I have no proof of this, but it sounds to me like roofing prices have gone up due to tropical storm Debby last week, and Bill H. can make more money on other jobs, so he decided withdraw his contract proposal, and the customer be damned. This is no way to treat people. There is nothing illegal with what Mid-Coast Roofing did. However, I consider this to be unethical. Mid-Coast Roofing lied about its willingness to reroof my house. This has cost me several hours of time: the time I spent at home waiting on Mid-Coast Roofing to show up, and the hours I spent analyzing the contract, getting my son-in-law, an attorney to review it, and calculating a range of costs for wood replacement. Now I have to start the process of finding a roofer all over again right after tropical storm Debby has damaged many roofs in the area.

Initially we contracted a roofing company to install a roof vent for our outdoor kitchen. This is where the nightmare began... The first roofing company installed the wrong vent And cracked a bunch of roof tiles. We contacted our builder and they referred us to mid Coast roofing which was a company who initially installed our roof. We scheduled an appointment and they charged us $550 to repair and reinstall all the broken tiles. We thought all went well. This installation was needed in order to complete our outdoor lanai. The AC technician realized that the wrong vent was installed initially that mid Coast roofing did not realize and we were OK with that as well. So we contacted our kitchen lanai company and they provided us with a gnu vent specifically designed for our ventilation system for our kitchen. We contacted Miss Coast roofing and paid them another $650 to remove the wrong vent and reinstall the new one. All went well so we thought. Our AC company came in to install the vent and as you can see in the pictures of below the technician Installed the new vent without verifying that we were able to connect our duct from the inside of the attic. We recontacted mid Coast roofing and now they gave us a quote of $1200 to relocate the vent only a few feet over in order for us to connect our ductwork. Immediately I contacted two other roofing companies to get some different quotes and they were as low as $575 up to $650. We decided to go with another company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Almost seemed like It was done on purpose to get more money out of us. Stay far away and use at your own risk

I should have known not to work for this customer when our office manager was ready to throw the phone across the office because he called so many times that I literally had to tell him if he called again we were not going to help him. Or when I got to his home and he proceeded to tell me about all the horrible contractors that had worked on his home. Or when he sent me a profanity-filled text (intended for the prior roofing contractor) caiming he spent $4000 to have the vent moved 3 times. According to his review he spent $1850 at most. We were never in his attic and had no way to verify whether the vent or its location was correct. We couldn't even see in the attic for the first repair, and the second time we simply installed the vent he provided over the hole that had already been cut. I tried to tell him from the outset that the pipe should be run first, and that would determine the location of the vent, but he said they were redesigning the outdoor kitchen so the o grill would line up with the hole. You would think the AC contractor would have told him the vent needed to be moved when they told him it was the wrong vent, but I suspect they have their own 1-star review by now.
