We bought a used 2012 Kia ****** on July 2, 2024 from Sunny Florida Cars with $5000 down payment cash and borrowed $7000 total with the cost of the extended warranty. After leaving the dealership, we noticed problems with air conditioner, but car seemed to be nice and ran well. After just 2 weeks of driving, there was a noise like a grinding and the car would not run. We had it towed to a shop for $300 and they found that there was some sort of explosion with the radiator that had a hole punctured in it. The warranty refuses to cover any of the damage. The radiator, thermostat, wires, wire harness, and sensors all had to be replaced. Once putting the pieces and parts back together the mechanic noticed what appeared to be crazy glue ie. ** **** on the manifold. The mechanic stated that this could have only been done as a cover up by the dealership. The car has been in the shop since the 2nd weel of August. Now we have to pay an addition $3000 for the repairs.Business Response

Thank you giving the actual customer name which is ***** **** and the sale date was 6/08/2024. Originally the complaint stated ***** Whales with a sale date of 7/02/2024. I was unable to find the information that is why there was a delay with a response. I spoke with the Sales associate and the Finance Manager and neither of them received a call about any issues with the vehicle. Had we received a call we would of put Mr. **** in contact with the mechanic shop that does repairs for vehicles. I am not sure what the issue was with some sort of glue being used. When we receive vehicles from the auction these vehicle have history behind them before they ever reach us. This vehicle was 12 years old it is not brand new. Mr. **** did purchase a warranty I am not sure what the issue was with them not covering a claim.

I am rejecting this response because: when the vehicle broke down 2 weeks after purchase, we went to our own mechanic thinking the warranty would cover the repairs and the warranty denied the claim saying there was prior damage to the vehicle and not covered. Upon this information, doing reviews on ******** and other places it seems that this is a common practice of this dealership to sell warranties that do not cover and faulty vehicles. After paying for repairs the car has then continued to overheat and now had a possible blown head gasket or cracked head or possibly worse a crack block. We are out over $7000 cash and cannot repair this vehicle at this time. We did not bring it to the dealer because they obviously knew this car was not mechanically sound. The "glue" was found to be on the intake manifold proving that the mechanic at least knew there were issues even if they did not in fact do that repair. We just want our money back and they can have the car. We are done with it and have an attorney.

So i got a 2013 dodge ram 1500 tradesman on aug 2, 2024. Was told it had clean car fax and was assured it had no problems. After test drive i informed them the vehicle needs an alignment and i was told to bring it back, also the headlights was broken and didnt even shine on the road. ** also needed fixed. So i brought the truck back the following week, tuesday aug. 6th untill friday august 9th at 5pm. The headlights work but they are still loose and flop around. They did fix the ac but now it started running hot when the ac is on. I told them about that also. Still no alignment. So 2 weeks go by and the electronic power steering goes out. I called and informed them and brought it in for them to look at. It started working in parking lot so they never looked at it. I had another shop look at it , the warranty company sent me to. they said it wasnt covered. So i bring the truck back to sunny florida cars on sept 16th and talk to **** about it and we set an appoinment for them to diagnose it on sept 24th.The mechanic called and said it would be 2k to fix And i had to pay to fix it. I had to get the alignment myself plus 2 new back tired because they were bald. I put down 1500 and a trade in of 1k, plus the payments i made. Picked up truck today sept 30th and waited almost 2 hrs to speak to the owner. Never spoke to them. I would just like a refund of everything i spent. The salesman **** drove the truck himself on sept 16th and agreed it is not safe to drive. Also spoke with the manager **** multiple times about this problem. I have had to get rides from coworkers to work. I do construction and my truck is a necessity for my job.Initial Complaint

Purchased a truck from sunny Florida cars on may 31, 2024. Took truck home to detail after purchase. Removed wheel flares and discovered extensive rust damage under both back wheel flares. Back driver side is legitimately crumbling because of the rust. Rust damage was never disclosed and intentionally hidden. my husband purshased a dodge charger from sunny florida cars in ********* ** 11/04/2023 .we were advised that nothing was wrong with the car only ac was broken but they would fix it, day the car was purchased threw onemain finacial it was late and when we got to parking lot the employess left before we did.upon leaving the dealership there was a strong fume odor that was so bad it caused me a headache and to vomit we texted the employee 10 min after we left to notify them the car ac was not working and smelled of fumes.was told bring the car back,brought the car back and the car has been in the possiession since i dropped it off everytime i was called to pick up the car and told it was fixed it was not.Yesterday was the third time i went to pick up the car and it was not working still talked to the owner which he stated he would try again to fix it but if something broke it wasnt his responsability, i explained we ***** had the car in our possession for not even a week the car has been there at the dealership this whole time.He recorded us and some of the conversation but he said oh wait till the warranty kicks in after 30 days and bring it back and he will file a claim to fix the car that he didnt want to pay to fix it .i was told that car was fixed several times and that the dash was taken off to fix it which the owner said no they didnt the employee that said it was yelled at for telling us that,i asked for the invoice on what was done to the car and never recived it i have text messeges ,audio to prove that the car was not working properly since purchase date,the boss said come back when the warranty kicks in so they can fix it but when we left the dealership the car overheated and broke down before we even got home! i had to have the car towed home .i have been trying to get a hold of the boss because i dont want the car its a pieace of junk and every time i call i record to show iam trying to get a hold of him and *** told he not in they dont know when he will be there.Business Response

Bought a 2012 ****** ******* from Sunnys car of ********* at the end of jan and since then its been major issues that has put myself and my childrens life endangered with this so called reliable vehicle. I put $2500 down like they said I had too and financed it through Westlake financial company for $357 a month. I have been unable to afford the payment this month due to so much issues with this truck its unreal. The tires on it were all different sizes and wrong ones so had to buy 4 new tires, brakes were the wrong ones for this truck so had to replace all 4 brake pads and stuff, coolant hose exploded while driving leaving ** stranded till tow truck came so had to not only pay a darn tow bill but replace all hoses and clamps, o2 sensors are going out, cv joint and wheel bearing now needs replaced as the wheel hub on back passenger side is very wobbly when driving which both are being replaced today 5/8/23. This truck is not worth the 14 grand they are asking by far. It honestly belongs in a junk yard. *** made several calls to sunny cars and left messages and nobody will return my phone calls at all. This is my first stop filing with you all and my next will be the court house. Im a single mother that this place took advantage of and scammed into buying their junk that they claim are reliable vehiclesBusiness Response

We are responding to the complaint from *********************** that purchased the 2012 ****** ******* from our dealership on 1/24/2023. After reviewing the documents that ***************** attached to the complaint I noticed that she did not attached page 3 of the contract which shows she purchased a warranty, she also did not attached the actual warranty contract so I have attached it in the response. I have also attached the Buyers Guide and the Carfax which have all been signed by the customer. This is the first we are hearing about any issues with the vehicle, Had the customer called we would have asked her to bring the vehicle in to our dealership so the service department could address any issued that she may have. We have spoken to our service department and was told she never called. I reached out to the customer yesterday and have not received a return call from her. This vehicle is 10 years old and was sold "{As is") we offered the customer a warranty which she did purchase.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: my brother ********************* and his wife had contacted **** on several occasions about this vehicle due to tires going flat, wrong sized tires being on this vehicle, the back end wobbling and swaying when driving only to be told that warranty only cover the engine nothing else on the truck. Weve also called to speak with **** only to be told theyd take a message and have him call ** back to no phone calls being returned. I also called the day before filing this with the BBB like my lawyer said to and spoke with a guy whos name started with A and he took down my information and all and said someone would call me back and never got a call back! There was more than enough attempts made to this company. Unfortunately we arent the only ones with a complaint about this place as Im seeing several others telling people to not buy from them due to the danger and hazards of the vehicles being bought from this company. This truck literally put not only mine but my families life in danger when the wheel bearing went out which couldve caught on fire. Weve already contacted financial company and returning this truck to them as i will NOT put my kids and families live in danger with this vehicle that literally is falling apart!

They sold me a vehicle with a bad transmission, low brake fluid with service brake assist light on, low dirty oil, low dirty coolant, low dirty transmission fluid, and turn signal lights out and more. Within two weeks it had to be put on a trailer because it stopped shifting completely. They were of no assistance before this telling me to keep driving it so warranty will fix it. When I called to say something was up with transmission and almost caused me to hit someone due to car rolling forward in reverse they said keep driving it. Even though I told them I felt unsafe driving it. After dropping it off to them on a trailer they said they would end loan if I did this that and the third and they have yet to end the loan. Creditor is calling me everyday to collect on a vehicle they have had for over a month. They only continue to play games and have kept my down payment.Business Response
