January 2024 we hired him to paint our interior and exterior and fill in any holes. He painted areas that werent supposed to be painted. Never finished painting the exterior. Paint started chipping on our doors and trim. We paid close to $4000. He kept pushing back the date week after week to finish the job but never showed up. I finally asked for my money back and refused.

GL Williams Painting painted both the interior and exterior of Homeowner's house.  Homeowner was very satisfied with the interior painting and wanted to add on additional painting of the exterior. Walk through was done on both the interior and exterior and approved by Homeowner. The exterior contract was a separate contract and would start after the interior was completed.

The contract for the exterior stated to repair cracks around windows and silicone. The homeowner is referring to the Stucco cracks on which he needs to address with the Builder.  Silicone filling will not be able to cover.  I had the Paint rep from Sherwin Williams come out and meet with the Homeowner and my self to try to get assistance on what could be done to make the homeowner happy.  The Homeowner start cussing at the Paint rep and even called ******* to ensure he we a rep that worked for the company. He offered to supply the paint and I offered to paint for free.  Homeowner did not want that either.  He wanted his money back. The Only areas that were to be painted was around windows and front of house Stucco only to match close as possible.  I told the Homeowner I would give back the labor cost only minus the Material costs.  He did not want that either.  Then came to the house very aggressively demanding all money be returned.  I called Law enforcement to make a report. I have pictures and a witness to back this claim.

     Complaint: 21523358

I am rejecting this response because:

His response was all lies.  I have video of him coming to our house every week telling me the reason he wasnt able to finish the job for 4 weeks.  He even came to my house unannounced to see if I was home.  I never cussed at the paint rep but I did cuss at him.  After several weeks of not showing up to finish the job, I finally was frustrated demanding my money back.   There was no walk through with me on the final day.  He even knew he wasnt done.  He never said anything about contacting the builder about the cracks.  I got everything on camera.

He told me when he started he would take pictures of everything so he knows what he moved and would move it back when he was done.  He did none of that.  In the video he was ******* his ******* to hurry and get out of there.  He kept insisting on painting things I didnt want but painted them anyway.

I have video of him telling us in the beginning to wait atleast 24hrs to put things back to allow the paint to cure.  Hours after painting our mantle he starts putting things back on the mantle.

4 weeks after he said he finished the job he still had a lot to do.  He did offer to repaint for free but how would I know when it would be done since I waited 4 weeks to finish the first job?  The Sherwin Williams rep even told me that the chip painting on the doors and trim was from them not sanding or cleaning off the original coating.

He called the cops because I trespassed but it was his family that was being aggressive.  I also got audio on that on my dash cam.

We told the customer that we would refund the labor costs only but not the materials on the exterior only. He did not agree to that either.  Nothing made the customer happy..

I am rejecting this response because:

Owner never provided a cost of material or labor nor gave me a number to agree to.  Either way job was never finished when he said he was finished.  He pretty much admit it when he brought the Sherwin Williams account rep unannounced to my house discussing what he needs to do about fixing his poor paint job.
