    On 4/21/2022, Barbato Curbing poured decorative landscape curbing around the entire perimeter of our house, along with two floral islands in our side yards. When we first met with **** (the owner), he told us that his company uses reinforcement material to help keep the curbing from cracking. We paid him with Check #**** for $3330.00. Within weeks of the job being finished, the entire curbing started cracking and disintegrating. We were able to pull chunks of curbing out; not only was the material used substandard, but there was no reinforcement as had been indicated, and the curbing was poured incorrectly per other curbing companies. Despite numerous attempts to contact ****, we have been unable to receive any reimbursement from him, and he told us we would have to pay him - again - to repair the substandard curbing. The curbing is beyond repair; we have to have all of the current curbing removed and replaced - this time by a different company. I have attached two photos and a video of the curbing; this is what it looks like for the entire curbing. **** maintains the damage was caused by a mower; we, our lawn company, and the new curbing company all dispute this. We would like partial reimbursement, which **** refuses to pay.

    I am rejecting this response because: we were charged $3330 for the original project, which has to be completely redone (at a cost of over $4000 to remove the defective curbing and replace it). We would like the remaining $930 ($3330 minus $2400) from the original cost of the project refunded from ****. At that point we will be satisfied and will move on. Thank you.
