    In December 2020, BBB received a Scam Tracker entry concerning Sweet Golden Retriever Pups:

    I was browsing to buy a puppy and left a message at https://sweetgoldenretrieverpups.com to inquire about the puppy. The seller then contacted me via text and answered my questions. Sent me emails from [email protected] with pictures and videos of the puppy and his parents. When we decided to purchase, we needed to pay via cashapp or Zelle prior to moving forward with the transaction. The following day, the seller contacted me for my Shipping address (home address) and telePhone number which they also used for transfer of ownership documentation. The seller sent me an email with ownership document to sign. Next day, the seller texted stating they will bring the puppy to a shipping company. The GBI SHIPPING EXPRESS company contacted me for travel insurance and sent me an email with invoice for $1200 also to be paid via Zelle or cashapp. At this point, I wanted to stop the transaction and get a refund. Contacted the seller multiple times via call and text with last contact stating that the number was no longer in service
