I have been very sick in and out of the hospital and have hospital records to prove it. I need more time to study to take the *** exam because I have been ill. I also found another online class for a more affordable price that is taught by an instructor and now believe the national performance specialist have stolen my money and havent priced matched the Edcor ekg class for a lesser price. I am frustrated and irritated and will contact the police about this matter if my money is not refunded for this class,Business Response

Dear *******,
We are sorry to hear about your recent difficulties and hope you are on the path to recovery. We understand how challenging these situations can be and wish you the best.
Regarding your request, we would like to clarify a few points:
1. Price Matching: National Performance Specialists (NPS) is a national certification agency, and we are not obligated to match the prices of other organizations or courses. We offer certification examinations and complimentary study materials, not training programs. Our certification fees are set to cover the costs associated with the certification process, including the examination and administrative support.
2. Exam Rescheduling and Documentation: We have reviewed the documentation you provided, including hospital records and court documents. While we sympathize with your situation, the dates on the provided documentation (April 19, 2024) do not correspond with the date of your missed exam (November 30, 2023). Unfortunately, we cannot reschedule the exam based on this documentation.
3. Refund Policy: As per our terms and conditions, refunds are not provided once a candidate has accepted the terms and used the product purchased. If you believe a crime has been committed against you, we encourage you to contact your local law enforcement. However, it is not a legal offense for an organization to refuse a refund under these circumstances.
Lastly, we want to reiterate that NPS is a certification agency, not a training program. Our mission is to provide high-quality certification exams and related materials to help candidates prepare for their certification. Payments made to NPS are for the certification examination itself, not for attending a training course.
We hope this clarifies our position. If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to contact our support team.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I was injured and in the hospital and have been in and out the hospital and contacted NPS and let them know about my medical condition and they seem to not care about my circumstances having to live in a domestic violence shelter and not being able to afford the computer with the software that is required for the proctored exam is stressing me out making my blood pressure go high 250/100 and I cannot afford unexpected costs and fees associated with this class online that did not specify that I would need a special computer to take the course. NPS is being rude and inconsiderate having sent them pictures of my black eyes and other injuries and they do not care about me being a victim of domestic violence.
Sincerely,

Dear *******************************,
We appreciate your continued communication and understand the gravity of your situation. Our thoughts are with you during this challenging time. However, we must reiterate our policies and the findings from our review.
1. Documentation and Exam Date: We have thoroughly reviewed the documentation and photos you provided. The dates on the hospital records and images of injuries are from April 19, 2024, which is several months after your scheduled exam date of November 30, 2023. As such, these documents do not provide a valid reason for missing your exam.
2. Testing Requirements: The requirements for the proctored exam, including the need for a specific computer setup, are clearly outlined in the Candidate Handbook. This handbook is publicly available on the *** website and is the first document provided to all candidates upon accessing our certification materials.
3. Acknowledgment of Requirements: Upon submitting your candidate application, you attested that you had read and understood the Candidate Handbook. This includes acknowledgment of the requirements for online testing. This attestation is a mandatory step in the application process and ensures all candidates are aware of what is required for successful exam completion.
4. Policies and Procedures: *** is a national certification agency, not a training program. Our role is to provide certification examinations and the necessary materials to prepare for these exams. The policies regarding refunds and exam rescheduling are clearly stated in the Candidate Handbook and were agreed upon when you submitted your application.
We empathize with your situation and understand the difficulties you are facing. However, the policies in place are designed to ensure fairness and consistency for all candidates. We cannot make exceptions based on documentation that does not correspond to the relevant exam date.Customer Answer
