    We finally ended up in a different home but the first two nights (three days) was no vacation. Horrible days. Talked to so many people and none of the issues could be taken care of. We waited for maintenance people and "guest relations specialists". Had water on the tile floor, leaking freezer, ceiling lights had shorted out and was blinking. Both issues hazardous, could not use lights in kitchen where the wet floor was. We put out towels. None got fixed. Then the TV had no connection what so ever. Had several attempts but nothing was solved. Had people out for that but could not be fixed. Finally got relocated to a house that was in a rentable condition and pleasant. Had issues with getting a this new house and was told instead of watching TV we could have used the swimmingpool. We are not pool people and it was 48F in Jan and no really pleasant weather. What a reply! Shockingly NO reply from management. We would have liked to talk to Koen R******, Owner and/or Torsten J*******, General Manager but after 10 attempts between the two we finally gave up and therefore posting this. Three days of our vacation extremely upsetting and we lost those days, staying around the house waiting for troubleshooting issues. Even maintenance people agreed this house is not functioning as it should. That none of the management would return calls or emails is truly appalling. Will never rent from them again. Be very careful.

    Wow very disappointing, will never rent from Roelens property management company again.! This" spectacular home " left a lot to be desired for the price we were charged, for our two week stay. Communication was poor at best. We arrived @ 4:01pm, cleaning people were surprised we had arrived. We went outside to get out of there way and recieved a call from the managemnt company apologizing and offering to give us a gift card for dinner, we advised we had already had dinner and just expected to settle into the house.,Roelens advised it would be 1 1/2 hours before the cleaning would be completed. But they would speak with management to see what other compensation would be available. (never contacted). We sat outside on dock furniture, only of the seats had cushions, which were disgusting.After they finished we brought in our bags, and placed them in our rooms. The couches were stained, didn't sit on them for days,until they found blankets to put over them and only sat on them twice.We turned in for the night, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. Every cushioned seat inside and out of the house was beaten down and dirty, this is Roelens luxury:you and your guest with be living in the lap of luxury"Next morining the the toaster smoked and smelled like burning wire, blender was either moldy or dry rotted, the bullet mixer didn't work, there were a couple plates that were cracked if you snapped them in half they would break. Kitchen cabinet was falling from the ceiling. shower curtain rod was rusted, and the faucet needed calcium removed. ********************, "walking distance to the ************ Kayak down to the Boathouse Tiki bar and grab a bite for lunch on the beach! " which burned down in October. loading up to go to the airport @ 9:30 am I left a jacket on the bed. We were locked out and check out was not untill 11am,contacted Roelens property management ,they were unable to help advised they would have property manager contact us quickly.Not.

    Looks like this is the place to complain! We rented from them over Christmas and new year 2024. And it was excellent. We had asked for a Christmas tree and they delivered and set it up for us. Our experience was nothing short of 5 star.

    Roelens Vacation Rentals slogan should be "PROFIT OVER PEOPLE"... My family and I had a wonderful experience with Roelens Vacation Rentals back in February 2024. The rental home was clean and beautiful, and the hospitality was exceptional. I recommended it to many people because of our positive experience, and we decided to re-book for this fall. However, with Hurricane Helene and Milton impacting Florida, we felt it was best to cancel our trip. We submitted our cancellation request weeks before and were told that we wouldn’t receive a refund. The response stated, "Refunds are not given for unmet expectations, weather, natural disasters, personal, or any other related reasons". I understand that companies need policies to minimize cancellations, but a hurricane affecting the entire state should be an exception. It’s disheartening to see a company prioritize PROFIT over the safety and well-being of its customers. As a result, I can no longer support this company.

    The BBB seems to be a place that people come to complain. My family stayed in a Roelens home and we actually really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and called 3 days before we arrived to give us recommendations to go to. The house was lovely and checkout was easy. We will be returning next year

    We found a rental home from Roelens Vacations online and considered renting it. We made a reservation and received the rental agreement. After reviewing the agreement we found some rules and regulations we absolutely disagreed with, so we informed Roelens Rentals about our decision not to sign the rental agreement. Without our consent and signature Roelens Vacation charged the whole amount on the credit card. The next day they refunded most of the money but we lost almost $600,- with the unlawful transfer just because of the fee they charged for absolutely no reason and the exchange rate. We reached out to them several times but without finding a solution. They were only quick in collecting money, not in solving problems! We absolutely CANNOT recommend this agency. Right now we even consider of taking legal action in this case.

    1- FILTHY, our socks/feet were filthy after 1 afternoon. Dust hanging from the ceiling fans. We bought a Swiffer duster, as the steam mop cover hadnt been washed in weeks. I washed the steam mop and then steamed the floors. The mop head was gross after the first day- it went from white to gray/brown; the cleaners don't clean the floors. Grout=super dirty. Baseboards hadn't been dusted in months; there was dog hair on them from a prev. renter. The mstr **** smells like urine like it hasn't been cleaned at all.2- There is a leak somewhere, as the bdrms have a musty/moldy smell; its the worst rental weve had in Florida over the last 4-5 years.3- Towels=threadbare, gross, and so small- cant even wrap a kid. There was a dark smear of ?? on a towel and what looked like Cheeto dust on others. I imm. washed all the ******************* because we were sure they weren't ever washed. I bought thicker towels. The bedding is super thin also; I bought blankets, and ****** said we should get a refund, but that was over a week ago.4- Roelens texted 1st day to see how the first night was. I told them our concerns and a boilerplate response of we will contact the house caretaker and get back to you'. Saturday, I texted ******, and she said she hadn't heard a thing.5- Lanai furniture; the amount of spider ************ I cleaned so we could sit outside was gross! 6-I asked many times during the process if there was a *********** or a high ********* was told no, but there is one of each in the garage. I bought lots of infant/baby gear to have there, but the $$$ stuff was already here. 7-There are loose switch plate covers, bad paint patching, etc. I know thats a little bit picky, but when Im paying almost $8k for a house NOT on the Canal, we expect better. We have always had better for less on an ocean access canal. 8-The fourth bedroom is the formal dining room between the front door and the kitchen and living room. NO DOOR, NO CLOSET, just a ****** bed.

    Stayed at villa mangrove, ********** **. The house was gorgeous and that's where it ends. The property manager is a joke. You are miles from anything and the kids would be bored to death after the ********** wore off.hot tub not working, grass not cut, biting midges ate you alive inside the **** and outside. We where a party of 14 and everyone came back full of bites. Look like a sceen out of naked and afraid amazon edition. Don't waste your hard earned money on this one.
