I am a resident at Pathways to care assisted living facility residents here are referred to by the hospital and their primary physician because they are recovering from either surgery or an ailments we are required to sign contracts upon arrival I've read the stipulations agreed and signed as time went on here I asked case manager the facility about the staff and if any of them have any medical certificates she told me nobody here is certified CPR or for license to distribute medication the way that the staff members treat some of the residents including me I find disturbing I've witnessed verbal abuse mental abuse by locking them in the room all day writing them up for verbal rules that were not specified in the contract they say we have to be on facility property by 7:00 p.m. contract I signed said 9:00 p.m.i arrived at 830 I was written up and forced to do a drug test if I did not comply I'll be immediately evicted and have the police called for some of the other residents that have serious medical conditions there have been instances of a man having a seizure and fallen on the floor and the staff literally said but we can't help him out due to liabilities. Another instant of a elderly man that relies on an oxygen tank went to the staff and asked them for a new one they said that they don't have any they told him to go to his room and calm down hours passed by for any staff members came to check on him eventually when they did they discover he unfortunately passed away due to his breathing condition and the neglect of not having his oxygen tank and instead of trying to resuscitate him they're just close the door and called the police if there's an outside Authority that is willing to investigate this facility and listen to the complaints of the residents we would be so grateful our complaints never leave this facility I feel my mental state declining because never in my life have I been treated so poorly for no reason I am partially paralyzed from the waist down
