I would not recommend doing business with this company.I contracted with Priority Marine Construction to build a small dock and install a boat lift at my property in *******. The work commenced on the 9th November **** and was not completed until 26 weeks later on May 9th ****** days after demolition of the old dock I receive an e-mail from one of the directors of *** stating "there will be some drilling required", and the experts estimate that 50% of the 12 piling holes will require drilling at a cost of $1200.00 per hole, No mention of this in the contract. I was quite shocked at the cost quoted as other companies that quoted for this job, also in ***************************** the contract as follows: "Unless previously noted, an additional charge of $500 per pile if drilling rig is required." The only statement in the *** contract says " If hardpan is discovered and drilling is required, additional charges will be required." Needless to say when the final invoice arrived I was being charged for 11 of the 12 piling holes. This is a rip off.......for example I reviewed video footage of the drilling (yes it's easier for them to use an auger bit drill than it is to water jet, particularly with 10 inch pilings), one of the lift poles which had to be drilled to 12 foot depth was completed, start to finish in less than 20 miniutes. There is no way that hardpan was discovered on 11 of the 12 holes thus requiring drilling. So to sum up.......26 weeks = gross incompetence, No mention in the contract of cost of drilling, no check or balance to notify customer when hardpan is encountered (and at $1200.00 per hole that is important), Not to mention: 1. *** placed a lien on my property even before the work was completed 2. little to no communication... the big man does not want to discuss or justify the number of holes drilled.3. Issued final invoice but none of the accessory items had been fitted or delivered ***
