Their remanufactured engines are complete JUNK! First engine failed after roughly 10 minutes of riding and thats being generous. It was under warranty so they sent a replacement, it was 90% broke in and started running bad so upon inspection found the head gasket was leaking! It wasnt under warranty anymore so I called SBT just to let them know their product is garbage and I would be posting about their poor quality products on ******** groups Im part of. Junk garbage product stay far away fromSBT

We are sorry that ****************** has been having issues with our engines installed in his ski.  We pulled the files on his case:

    - ********************** purchased and engine with a 1-year no-fault warranty that was sent out 11/08/2022.

    - The *** core we received had a totaled crank from the bearings being spun.

    - On 09/05/2023 a warranty was called in due to hard start/stall.  On 10/13/23 a follow up call stated cylinders 2 & 3 had low compression.

When we received the motor on 10/31/2023, the head gasket showed overheat and blow-through between 2 and 3.  The crank also had spun bearings (same as when the original *** core came in).

    - SBT replaced the motor under our No-Fault warranty, sending a replacement remanufactured engine 11/15/2023.

    - On 07/08/2024, ****************** texted us with concerns about his engine.  We called him to try to find out more, he acknowledged he was 8 months out of warranty and wasnt looking for anything except to tell everyone on the forums and groups his displeasure with us and to file a  BB complaint.  ************************ reached out to ****************** to try to walk through what the issue was to see if was a manufacturing issue or a ski issue.  We are currently waiting on more information.

Have purchased parts for years, only had one issue and unfortunately they did not respond well. overall been very happy with product. its the exchange rate that really hurts, but they have no control over that. the fill rate is great, and the response time is great. the freight also hurts but again they have little control over that.

This company sucks. After a salesman of theirs, israel “izzy” ******, assured me that they would sell me a reman engine for my ski. They have a “ core first “ policy, I removed and shipped my engine out to them $500+ from NJ to FL. They have my engine for 3 weeks and then call me to tell me they cannot repair or replace the engine for me AND that I had to pay the return shipping. So, I received the poorly packaged engine today and they disassembled the engine before they threw it in the box to ship it back. At this point, what can I really do but complain. This company mislead me and took little to no care to ship me back my engine. Loose hardware, pistons, connecting rods, all thrown loose in the box carelessly. **** **** company!

Poor Quality Control - I bought a reman Sea-Doo 951 from them w/ 1 yr. warranty. The counter balance shaft was off a tooth or so. This made the engine vibrated like something was stuck in the prop. I wasted all the time of installing, trouble shooting and removing the engine and paid for return shipping to SBT. They admitted it was their fault, but never reimbursed me for shipping it back to them. When they say the engine comes with a no fault warranty it means it's not their fault if they **** it up. Be warned this company has no quality control. Not the first time I've been screwed by them. I'll never use them again.
