When I was sold this insurance I was told it covered ER visits, imaging, MRI, doctors visits, urgent care, vaccinations, and more! I should have known it was too good to be true. $5,000 in medical bills later every single EOB Ive received from this fraud insurance states they dont cover anything that was billed. When I called to cancel the insurance the representative says Well you have the lowest plan, we can upgrade you for more coverage which of course would come with a price increase. Regardless, the lowest plan is NOT what I was sold. This company is a scam! Stay far away!

Total scam. Paying full premium for no benefits. Complete run around by even their managers. They all state they have answers, but I haven't been provided any. NO one will answer the phone and will send you emails they are in meetings. You will argue with every inch of your "coverage" and they do not provide a prescription drug rider so your drug prices will skyrocket unless you use Revive ****** their so called mail in pharmacy. That pharmacy is suppose to also provide discounts at area pharmacy which those pharmacies do not accept those posted discounts. Most providers do not recognize SGIC and have to backtrack to their provider network of ************. We are paying MORE than ever before for the premium and have no benefits. All around an entire joke.

They are THE WORST insurance company I have EVER been a part of. The representatives don't give you the full scope of the coverage you are paying for. They NEVER told me that I needed to receive a "code number" via text in order to "enjoy" the prescription coverage. That coverage is a joke. Then they wanted to charge me double what I was already paying to add hospital, MRI and lab work to my policy. RIDICULOUS!! Thank God I'm done with this company as of October. It's been a hellish nightmare waiting to get good coverage for my medical and health needs. I've had to put off some much needed procedures because SGIC doesn't cover them without their ridiculous added on costs. I highly recommend NO ONE applies for this companies coverage. I'm not racist or prejudice, but if you work for a business in *******, learn to speak our language clearly.

Worst insurance company ever. Claim filed November, 2023 and still getting the run around as of September 9, 2024. The hospital and doctors have not been paid. They say theyll call you back, and dont.

Do not waist your time with this company! I tried to use my insurance card today and the receptionist could not find the insurance company to make a claim. When the receptionist called the company she was told that they will pay my copay leaving me with a huge bill to pay. Needless to say I did not receive any service. I called and cancelled the insurance plan before they take another $300 from me.

My ******** purchased an Association for Responsible Planners (AFRP) Membership Plan that is included in Southern Guaranty Insurance Company (SGIC) short term health insurance that we pay for. We realize this type of health insurance is limited. I am not leaving this review because this insurance company didn't pay a claim we made. I am submitting this negative review because SGIC is a weak health insurance company that cannot provide even a properly completed Explanation of Benefits (***) when they deny coverage claim. The *** I received for a claim made was missing the drug * Code, this is a very important piece of documentation for an *** and without it the *** is pretty much useless. The SGIC *** has a space in a column where this code should have been entered, the column is titled "procedural code." SGIC left this space blank on my ***. I am provided financial support (money back) from the drug maker against the high cost of their drug when I get a shot, but because SGIC left this column space blank on the *** the drugmaker is rejecting my claim for the financial support they have promised me due to an incomplete ***. I have reached out to SGIC for over a month multiple times to ask them to correct their mistake and enter the * Code on the *** and to then send me an updated copy of the *** so I can submit it to the drugmaker for the financial support they have offered me. SGIC has informed me that they cannot make any changes to their *** or recreate an *** with the proper coding, sorry. I have tried everything; I've had multiple phone conversations with SGIC customer support including a conversation with a department supervisor. I have come to the conclusion as a result of being denied a correct *** that I needed to share my story with the BBB to log in my/our disappointment with SGIC. We have paid 7 months of premiums; all I needed was a correctly filled out ***. UGH! Probably be a good idea to look elsewhere...

I received contact from a representative of the ****'s ********************** this person represented themselves as a supervisor and informed me that they have reached out to the drug maker to resolve the challenges between the two companies. I am going to be reimbursed via the drug makers financial support program to help me out with the high cost I was charged for their drug. It has been a very frustrating experience/process, but I am here to explain that SGIC did get the issue of the *** resolved with the drug makers support program, thank you.

They've been giving us the run around for a month at this point. They've never mailed us our insurance cards, and have been nothing but trouble. According to the other reviews, this is a common occurrence. May god have mercy on the souls of these liars.

********************** case is an example of the difficulty most Americans face with their decision of what type of insurance they should purchase so that their premiums are affordable on a monthly basis.  SGIC offers a very wide range of Policies to allow consumers to customize benefits based on the affordability of monthly premium.  In this case, we do not know what criteria ****************** used to select his coverage, but he worked with an independent insurance agent and purchased an SGIC short-term medical insurance policy with a $2,500 annual deductible and a $500 limit on Emergency Room benefits.  When ****************** visited the *** SGIC handled his claim promptly, within 3 days of receipt, and paid according to the benefits he selected.

Your agents that your contract to sell your services sell as full coverage. On top of that, that I can go to any medical service provider I want and it was 80/20 for ER services after deductible is met. Even with the $500 per visit. You’re not telling the whole story that even in your own employees words from Florida, your company regularly does this. You declined $1926 in bills that in your own I’m house rep said was “out of the average cost” of an ER. I’m a sales manager that used your services in transition. Don’t think for a second I’m unaware of bad sales tactics and your public omission, to “retraining”. You are aware as your horrible reputation still shows this and your google reviews that are part of “selling” your company to individual agents. Your copy paste is sloppy. Shall we continue? Fool me once, but I know you won’t contact me to make it right or even have the conversation. You know who I am clearly.
