I got involved with Linux Legal and they promised to take care of a timeshare purchase we made. They were all in, and we were not only left hanging, but it ruined our credit! Would have been easier to go with this issue alone and taken the credit hit!

I am writing to formally demand a full refund for the services provided by Linx Legal, as I believe your company has misrepresented its services and engaged in deceptive business practices. When I signed up for your services, I was explicitly assured that if Linx Legal filed on my behalf within a certain timeframe, the dispute with the ********* company would not appear on my credit report. This statement was misleading and entirely inaccurate.Additionally, I have found that your services consist of nothing more than sending periodic emails while continuing to charge me $300 per month. This minimal effort does not justify the fees I have been charged, nor does it align with the expectations set at the time of signing. Your company preys on individuals who are already in difficult financial situations, promising relief while failing to provide any meaningful assistance.

I was reached out by a Linx Legal representative to cancel my timeshare. A sales person gave me a visit and showed me their presentation. It seem expensive but I accepted because I need to get out of the timeshare contract. He said the company would do everything to take care of the case. The total cost was 14K, paying half at the moment and monthly payments to complete 14K. I was reached out by the timeshare company offering a deed in lieu to foreclosure, Linx legal never said anything of getting rid of the timeshare was going to be via a foreclosure. When I called the account manger and he said that was the best option, that I need to call and get the paper work, I was not happy with that response, I would have received the same option with out paying 14K to Linx. I requested the paper work, signed it and sent it to the account manager to what his response was I had to get it notarized and send back to ********. Again, I feel 14K for them just send 1-2 letter to get a foreclosure on my credit is ridiculous. During the time before the foreclosure option, I had to reach to Linx because they would not call or email to inform status, I was told I had to wait. I'm requesting cancelation of the contract and stop payments to Linx.

We have received your complaint and reviewed your file.  We are ecstatic to have helped this individual get relief from her timeshare and debt that this individual rightfully deserves - and very quickly! Though we have explained to this client on more than one occasion that a deed in lieu of foreclosure means that the client did not get a foreclosure, it does not seem to have resonated. Nevertheless, we hope this client can enjoy life knowing that she has now achieved freedom from the timeshares tight grip. We remain very happy to have helped make that happen.
