I was reached out by a Linx Legal representative to cancel my timeshare. A sales person gave me a visit and showed me their presentation. It seem expensive but I accepted because I need to get out of the timeshare contract. He said the company would do everything to take care of the case. The total cost was 14K, paying half at the moment and monthly payments to complete 14K. I was reached out by the timeshare company offering a deed in lieu to foreclosure, Linx legal never said anything of getting rid of the timeshare was going to be via a foreclosure. When I called the account manger and he said that was the best option, that I need to call and get the paper work, I was not happy with that response, I would have received the same option with out paying 14K to Linx. I requested the paper work, signed it and sent it to the account manager to what his response was I had to get it notarized and send back to ********. Again, I feel 14K for them just send 1-2 letter to get a foreclosure on my credit is ridiculous. During the time before the foreclosure option, I had to reach to Linx because they would not call or email to inform status, I was told I had to wait. I'm requesting cancelation of the contract and stop payments to Linx.

    Business Response

We have received your complaint and reviewed your file.  We are ecstatic to have helped this individual get relief from her timeshare and debt that this individual rightfully deserves - and very quickly! Though we have explained to this client on more than one occasion that a deed in lieu of foreclosure means that the client did not get a foreclosure, it does not seem to have resonated. Nevertheless, we hope this client can enjoy life knowing that she has now achieved freedom from the timeshares tight grip. We remain very happy to have helped make that happen.
