Hello and thank you for your comment/complaint and we are so sorry you are experiencing this. After reviewing our notes and the recent on-site inspection results, it was determined to be dirt on the siding and not mold. We were able to wipe the dirt off and can apply paint to rectify this problem. Thank you for being the best part of our business!

Where to start...Facts:1. Hired February 21, 2024 for $26,650. It is now October 2024 and the work is still not complete. Positive: Props for them working with me on payment in 3 installments.2. Multiple items broken on my property: spigot, patio chair, vent pipe. The vent pipe was pushed with such force from the roof into my home that it busted my pipe. Water gushed into my downstairs bathroom. I had to hire plumbers which cost $780. I sent the bill to Barfield but was not reimbursed. This also led to my water heater short circuiting. Positive: ***** personally fixed the water heater. Thank you, *****. 3. Roof trim (don't know name) installed by Cohl incorrectly which led to more water damage on the ceilings of my home. Barfield repaired it but put the repairs on MY bill. 4. Trash left scattered on my property during each visit. Definitely not cleaned up daily per the contract. 5. Leftover tiles and supplies left in my driveway for months, blocking the left side entrance/egress.6. Sept 10, 2024 final inspection. During inspection I noted the HOLE in my fascia still not fixed. The representative, *****, tried to charge me. 7. Wrong wood, pine, was installed on fascia to cover the HOLE. I asked for the correct wood, cedar, but ***** refused to acknowledge or replace. 8. Which leads me to realize they did not do the flat part of my roof which was explicitly called out in the contract. I told them it must be completed by September 26th because I had family in town. And come on, it's already been 7 months. It was NOT done. Not only was it not complete, but materials were left in my driveway and courtyard, again! Not complete until Oct 2, 2024. And... they left materials at my house, again.9. Update as of Oct 23, 2024. My neighbor noticed insufficient work around my chimney was leading to water in our shared wall; the new chimney cap called out in the contract was not installed; and pointed out brand new rake tiles already falling off. Now it's 8 months...Business Response

Dear Miss ****,
I want to sincerely apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences you've experienced during this project. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and it's clear we fell short of that standard.
We understand that the extended timeline for tile orders and unexpected delays in delivery were major setbacks. We'll take steps to improve our communication processes to ensure clients are informed about potential delays from the outset.
We also recognize that the initial roof work was intended to address your immediate concerns, but it seems that it led to additional challenges. We'll review our procedures to minimize such unforeseen issues in the future.
While we appreciate your understanding regarding the payment arrangements, we understand that this can also add stress to a project. We'll work on streamlining our payment processes to make them more convenient for our clients.
To resolve the outstanding issues, we'll prioritize completing the chimney cap installation this week. Please let us know if there are any other concerns or requests.
Again, we apologize for the negative experience. We value your business and hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust.Customer Answer

The nightmare started after March 10, 2017. During the install, i had noticed the roofers "blowing through" the hot shingles because the air compressor was set too high. An are (8 squares or so) had been done this way. I could pull up a shingle with no effort using two fingers. I had called a project manager, he said,"we can redo this entire area, or I can give you 5 extra years, making it a 10 year warranty. I took the 5. Didn't want all the extra holes in my underlayment. I had no leaks prior to this roof, except for one occasional drip that came from a window on my second floor. After this roof was installed, I had 2 immediately. Then as soon as summer rains were hitting us heavily, a total of 5 separate areas were leaking. Leak #1 located in an area just below a cricket, where stone meets shingles. I called multiple times and eventually would get someone to come and "repair" the leak. Their idea of repairing was caulking or smearing tar around. This would sometimes fix the leak for a few weeks to several months, depending on how much rain we had gotten. To make a long story short, this has gone on until this year, 2024. Things progressively getting worse at their office. Impossible to contact anyone. With several holes in my ceiling, having to run dehumidifiers when it rains, and the stress knowing each time it rains, more water damage is forming. *****, the owner, did come out just a few months ago and apologize. He acknowledged that things were done poorly. He even attempted a repair himself. It has prevented me from selling for 5 years now.I can't afford attorneys and he knows it's not worth it for **** don't have enough space to continue to write here. My roof looks like it was done by animals. My interior ceiling is trashed. All I want now is my ceiling fixed. I'm paying for a whole new metal roof. For 5.5 years, my nerves have been wrecked. I was even going to give ***** the chance to redeem himself. He won't respond to a $25k+ contract.Business Response

Hello ******************,
Since you filed this complaint, we have established that you had the wrong number for me in your phone and we have been communicating almost on a daily basis. In fact, we have been communicating this very day that I write this response! We are also working toward another roof replacement for you and installing metal to eliminate your problems for good! I am excited and appreciative of the opportunity to make this right once and for all! For the record, I am truly sorry for the experience and troubles you have been dealing with since the installation of your roof by our firm and since the very beginning we have shown great response in addressing the issues you have had. Our records indicate multiple visits to the property including at-least 6 visits by myself personally and while I am certainly not proud of the fact this has been ongoing, I think you would agree we have been attentive in working toward a resolution. The main issue we have worked against is the stone on the stairwell and flashing against it. With this new metal roof system, we plan to address these issues permanently. I look forward to working with you very soon and I am grateful we have been able to overcome these hurdles together and maintain our friendship as well as business relations!
Blessings Sir,- *****
