These scammers refused to pay on contracts. They owe me at least $4,600. I don't know where to turn because the laws are inactive, there are more than 30 victims

On 10 July 2022, Bril Logistic picked up my car from my home in ************** to transport it to ***********, **, to put it directly into storage. I prepped the car for transport to ensure it was in mint condition, including a complete outside detailing of the vehicle. I contracted through the broker, Transport Time LLC. I could not be at the site for pick-up because I had a specific report date on my orders for my Permanent Change of Station. So, I had my neighbor contracted to open the garage door and give the transporter the key. My neighbor was not to be included in the transport of the car. He accesses to home only. The car arrived on my end in ** at noon on 11 July 2022. The transporter I noticed immediately was grossly overweight and wearing bright aqua blue shower flip-flops from ******* while unloading the car. The transporter took an uncomfortable amount of time in the car before rolling off the ramp. I estimate the time in the driver's seat before starting the motor was 8-9 minutes. At this point, I began to become very suspicious. He finally off-loaded the vehicle. I inspected the outside of the car. It was filthy. I asked him why but he couldn't speak English. I then conducted "pointy talky" when he said he loaded the car in the rain. I understood that, so I moved on with the inspection. The exterior of the vehicle was fine other than very dirty. I looked inside the car and didn't visually notice anything. I signed the bill and used ***** to pay the *** charge directly to the driver's account. I sat in the car, started it, and drove out of the parking lot. As I made the right-hand turn out of the lot, I turned on the blinker to signify I was turning into the road. That is when I found that the entire turn signal switch was broken and barely hanging on the steering column. I raced back to the driver to ensure that this was taken care o. He got his boss on the phone, who could not reach their Safety Manager for days. Refuse to pay for repair.

    Hello Anouska,

I've received a letter from your Bureau regarding a customer's dissatisfaction with one of the transportation requests that we have completed. Upon proceeding with an internal investigation, I concluded that ***************** is defaming Bril-Logistic via multiple platforms.

    Here is how and why:

    • Bril-Logistic has a legal document (Bill of Lading) signed by ***************** at the delivery location, accepting the vehicle.
    • Commercial Drivers License(CDL) requires drivers to complete an English test so that if the driver is stopped, he would be able to communicate with any official law enforcement on the road, for example, DOT inspection. ******* determined that if the driver has enough English to speak about mechanical parts of the commercial vehicle, then he has enough English to deliver to a customer.
    • Prior to loading the vehicle in the trailer, our drivers perform a cosmetic inspection of a vehicle. We don't test drive vehicles. Therefore unable to determine any mechanical damage. From my understanding, the turn signal is not broken physically but malfunctioning.

    I've attached the document below.

    Sincerely,
    *****************

I am rejecting this response because: The turn signal is not operational. The driver broke it and tried to cover it up. The driver can not communicate in English and had to talk though a dispatcher on the phone. The leadership at **** backed him and told me I was lying. I signed the *** but then found the damage when I had to turn into traffic out of the lot from the driver. I have photo evidence but can not upload because the site will not allow it. I can email the evidence.

This cost $280 to fix, time, and aggravation. However, what I want is an admission of guilt, a sincere apology from the owner, and a promise that this will not happen to anyone else. This is why they carry insurance.

    Sincerely,

    *******************
