On February 16, 2025 I used Salvage Resellers services to purchase a vehicle through ******; they are a broker. Part of the Salvage Resellers agreement to purchase inventory out of ********** is a requirement for them to arrange transportation for you. On February 18, 2025 I wired funds to pay for the vehicle in full. On Feb 19, 2025 they confirmed payment was received and that they would let their transporter know. Copart storage fees are charged for everyday the vehicle is not picked up after the first 2-3 days. So, I have begun getting charged by Salvage Reseller, against my ****** deposit for those fees. Currently, those fees are 30/day and will soon go up to 40/day and after 30 days the vehicle is considered abandoned by ****** and I will lose the vehicle. So, I have been diligently emailing and calling Salvage Reseller for updates, to which they regurgitate their policy that forbids me to arrange my own transport and that delay do sometimes happen. Well, we are going on a week and nothing has happened. They've advised me to call their transporter, which I have and do not answer their phone. Meanwhile, and by no fault of my own, I am being charged large sums for storage and continue to wait. I am in a helpless situation and Salvage Reseller does not seem interested in moving this forward with any sense of urgency.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/05/2025

We apologize, but per terms and conditions, all transportation for any California purchases, must be arranged through us. Unfortunately, we have no control over how long it could take for the transportation company to find a driver. However, as a courtesy, we have refunded the storage fees to the buyer. And the vehicle was picked up from the location on 02/27/2025.

2/17/25 I located a vehicle I wanted to purchase. It was for an auction ending so I spoke with someone to help set up account and find out more information. She informed me that I could request a refund of my deposit if I WON. And I asked, can I also be refunded if I do not win, and she seemed to confirm I could request refund after completion. I see this is not the case for anyone else requesting refunds. Worse than this, the vehicle I bid on and location of auction and contact information and even the actual locations web design does not match that of the salvage reseller web page. Vehicle I bid on is also not among any of those listed as live or upcoming bids. It seems this smokescreen is created to ******* people out of money and never deliver anything in return except headaches. I paid a deposit to a bogus salvage reseller broker website and bid on a car allegedly being auctioned in a place it is clearly not even listed. This auction I am bidding in appears to be bogus. I want my deposit back as this is not a legitimate auction.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/05/2025

We are not a bogus company nor are in the business of keeping anyones money. All the customer had to do was contact us via email or phone once you got outbid from the auction and request your deposit to be refunded. There is also an option on the account to request it as well. If there were no active bids on the account, it would have been refunded or voided. At this point the deposit has been voided and the account has been closed.

Hello my name is Naija ******** on December 6, 2024 I made a transaction of $600 as a deposit to buy a car for $525 with the business known as salvage reseller. On there website they have options to bid for the car youre interested in or you can surpass the bidding process by clicking on the Buy it now icon/tab and they will have said price displayed above Buy it now icon/tab to give the illusion that the vehicle would be yours after purchasing. Im disputing the purchase of 600 that Ive been trying to recover because after finding out about the additional fees and the actual transaction I would need to make before receiving the car, because it was very misleading and I felt ******* out of my money that I really needed and instead of getting what I paid for I got nothing. When I contacted the business and confronted them with my problem I clearly stated that I had no clue about a separate purchase of the car and I didnt want to purchase it anymore I was told that I would have to pay a cancellation fee and a release fee that totaled to 900 dollars. I asked if there was anyway for my cancellation fee to be paid with the 600 in my security deposit and then I would pay the remaining $300, I was told no they wanted me to pay 900 dollars more out of pocket to cancel or pay 1400 dollars out of pocket to purchase the car and that I couldnt use my deposit to credit it towards either purchase. Instead of trying to help me reach a conclusion for my cancellation, they just trapped me in situation without using money Ive already given them. I wouldnt say the issue involved a ad but it did involve false advertisement on the website I first noticed the vehicle on was auto trader at the price of $525, then went to the website the vehicle was advertised on Buy it now for $525 was displayed. Please help me get justice from this company because I fear a lot of people could be being taken advantage of other than me.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/20/2024

Per terms and conditions, ALL BIDS ARE BINDING AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL. The deposit of $600 is only refundable if the purchase is paid in full and completed. All fees for all transactions are listed on the website under the support section. Nothing is hidden, and fees are nonnegotiable.

If a purchase is not completed and paid there are a relisting and cancellation fees buyers are responsible for:

    Relisting Fee
In the event that the purchase is requested to be cancelled for any reason OR vehicle payment is not received within seven (7) calendar days of the sale date, the Buyer agrees that Inloher may, in its sole and absolute discretion, cancel the sale and Copart may relist the vehicle for sale. Buyer agrees to pay Inloher the relist fee of $600.00 or 10% of the sale price, whichever is greater. This fee will be taken from the Security Deposit paid in advance to Inloher and the remaining balance due will be billed to the credit card on file. The Buyer is also responsible for any and all collection costs, including attorney fees and court costs. Buyers who fail to fulfill their obligations are subject to revocation of their membership./

    Sales Cancelation Fee
The buyer agrees to pay a $300 sale cancelation fee, for any vehicle purchased for $10,000 or less; $500 for any vehicle that is $10,001 - $20,000; and $1,000 for any vehicle that is more than $20,001. If any of the purchasing parties cancels the purchase, regardless of the reason, and/or the buyer doesn't pay the purchased vehicle within the allotted time. The buyer authorizes Inloher to deduct this amount from the security deposit on fund, or from any other payment made by the buyer. If this is not possible, the buyer authorizes Inloher to charge the credit/debit card on file for the respective amount. If the payment is declined then the buyer must make this payment by wire transfer or direct bank deposit, in this case the buyer will have two (2) business days to make this payment, during which the membership will be suspended. If the payment is not received within the allotted time the membership will be revoked. The Buyer will be responsible for any and all collection costs, including attorney fees and court costs.

Company is clearly using deceptive business practices, to lower your guard to make a bid and keep any money you deposit with them if after they hike up the price a thousand dollars more than expected, not communicated directly to you anywhere in the app over website area, and might try to charge even more if you cancel your order and the deposit isnt enough, blaming other company affiliated with. Deceptive for sure.

I am rejecting this response because: all stand fin on what clearly stated is, a simple sliding scale, make aware standard fees, not bury it in fine print and not putting it in the app. Is hiding these items from the consumer, customer satisfaction has been laughed at and scoffed off to many times, its in the fine print, cause only a handful of people read that word for word or all the way thru, keeping something for nothing is not acceptable no matter how your right it out guys. Its call theft by conversion, Id be curious to know how many times youv gotten away with it. I wonder

All charges and fees are listed on the website and on our terms and conditions which all buyers agree to BEFORE registering on our website, and bidding or buying. Nothing is in fine print; everything is listed on the website. The reason there is a deposit requirement is as a security to cover for any relisting and cancellation charges. As explained before, per our terms and conditions, if a vehicle won is not paid, the bidder is responsible for the relisting and cancellation fees. Also, all the information is on our website, and nothing is in fine print nor there are any "hidden" fees. Everything is in plain sight and also stated in the terms and conditions that the customer agreed to at the time of registering on our website. The fees are non-negotiable.

Regarding the vehicle information, the buyers can do a VIN report and are strongly suggested to do an inspection on the vehicles BEFORE bidding or buying, because as listed on the site and the terms, everything is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS and all bids are binding, and sales are final.

I have attached the information from Copart's website on what it means when a vehicle is listed as "run and drive" and also have attached the link below to Salvage Reseller's T&C's:

The issue is that I purchased a vehicle from the company salvage reseller also known as inloher corp on the date of 7/29/2024, when I purchased the vehicle on the website salvagereseller.com it stated that the vehicle RUNS & DRIVES, also having photos of the car running while at their lot as posted on their site. Inloher corp also stated I would need to have the car towed by someone under their company after I had already started placing together the tow for the vehicle , so I proceeded on and said ok let them find their own tow truck company to transport my vehicle from **********, the company they found was called Yiret transportation who would do the job for 1600$, they were very rude and disrespectful was told they dont have a driver on 7/31/2024 so I had no choice but to wait and inquire storage fees as shown, for 3 days in a row. Then on the day of vehicle delivery they informed me my car would not start and I would need to get a forklift myself and get it removed from the truck , they had contacted a known junk yard in my area and had asked them to do the job , I still ended up paying for them to take it off the truck. I payed the salvage yard 200$ to take my vehicle off of his truck then also had to turn around and get a tow truck to remove the vehicle off of the street after.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/05/2024

Per our terms and conditions, the buyer agrees that all transportations for vehicles purchased in the State of California shall be arranged and handled by us, using the transportation company we provide. Unfortunately, we do not have control over how long can take them to be able to find a driver that is available. It was explained to her that all transporters have to arrange more than one vehicle on their trailers to do one trip with multiple vehicles, because the car was being transported literally cross country. Therefore, just transporting her vehicle would not have been possible, unless she would pay an extremely amount of money to exclusively deliver her vehicle alone. Also, regarding the condition of the vehicle, per terms and conditions, all vehicles must be inspected BEFORE bidding or buying. This is a SALVAGE VEHICLE, and it has front end damage. All of this was disclosed on the advertisement of the vehicle. It was listed as a "run and drive" vehicle, which according to the auction, at inventory, the vehicle was Run & Drive meaning the vehicle: 1) Started under its own power or with the use of external jump box, 2) Was put into gear, and 3) Moved forward. This designation is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle is roadworthy or will be able to start, be put into gear or capable of moving forward at the time of the sale. If the buyer has no way of inspecting themselves because of location, they are able to arrange an inspection using the inspection services available on the website. Once the vehicle is removed from the yard and in the buyer's possession, they are accepting it AS IS, there are no warranties and all sales are final.

Regarding the experience they had with the transporter, unfortunately there is nothing we can do other than apologize, since they are a third party. However, the reason the vehicle was delivered to a different location is because the car needed a special equipment to be dropped off. We are not responsible for how the transportation is handled, all we do is arrange the pickup and they take it from there.

False advertising They market their site as if you only pay 10% fee on top of your auction price, then after the win they hit you with fees that come out to over 25% then when you tru to cancel they charge you over 10% anyway and they just keep saying its in terms and conditions. i.e the fine print.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/17/2024

Our inventory is not mis advertised nor is misleading. The additional fees and cancellation fees are not in the fine print. They are listed clearly on the how to buy section of our website, terms and conditions and FAQs. All this information is available PRIOR to registering with us and bidding or buying on any vehicle in the auction. If the buyer pays for the vehicle the total balance due, once he pays, removes the vehicle from the auction yard and the purchase is completed, they can request the refund of their security deposit that they placed in their account to have buying/bidding power. However, per the terms and conditions, if the vehicle is not paid or the sale is cancelled for whatever reason, there is a re-listing fee and a cancellation fee that the buyer is responsible for and agreed to pay when they agreed to the terms and conditions at the time of registering.

We replied to his first complaint on the 24th of June, his wire had literally hit our account within the hour of him complain***.  We are not a bank, and apparently, they don't understand that.  We have to wait for **** of America to make the funds available to us, before we can make the payment to the auction.  Once the funds were in the account, we made the payment.  The first wire they made, they made an error in the beneficiary and it never showed in our account.  They corrected it, and once they did, we received the funds and made the payment.  On July 13, we sent the title to ********* DMV to be processed.  We received an email from the auction's yard manager that this customer went around us and contacted them directly demand*** the title.  We called the customer but they didn't answer, so we left a voice mail and sent them an email.  To which they replied curs*** at us that we are "F-*** stupid and don't make any @#$%^&& sense".  We explained to him several times that since they purchased a vehicle in the state they reside in, we have to process a ******* title first, since we are dealers in *******. We reminded them that in our terms and conditions it clearly states that it could take ***** days for us to RECEIVE THE ***** FROM COPART (the auction).  He keeps send*** emails to us curs*** at us, but there is noth*** we can do but wait for the Dmv to finish process*** and then we will mail it out to him.

The issue date has nothing to with the date that it was processed by the Dmv NOT THE *** WE RECEIVED IT.  Titles are received within 2 weeks of the dmv processing.  No one is being 'lazy' this customer is just impatient.  We as brokers for Copart have to comply with the laws of the department of motor vehicles and copart rules which state that customers buying in their own state have to purchase from a broker in their own state or wait for the broker to process their title.  In this case, we are in *******, if they didn't want to wait they should have purchased from a broker in their own state.  Titles are sent on a weekly basis, to the ******* DMV to be processed and we have to wait for them to finish.  there is no way to expedite it.  This customer should have taken the time to read the terms and conditions and all of the information on the website which is clearly available. And all he does is curse at us, so we definitely don't want his business.

These people are Liars I believe that I've clearly indicated that with the emails that I sent to you ******* regarding the email that I sent to ***** over at Copart showing you that I did not demand the title I simply asked where had been because I had not received it clearly it's okay for them to steal from me or make me pay fees extra fees and they are not going to pay me the fees that I believe I'm owed for them not handling this in a timely manner and as far as the date of the title I don't care what they say they drug their feet they're lazy this business should not be allowed to do business with anybody again they should deserve enough rating obviously the Better Business Bureau does not agree because there ain't nothing you can do although I'm pretty sure you make the rating system as for Inloher being as how you feel you will no longer do business with me again I deserve a refund of my subscription since it's for a year and I've only had it for 3 months you owe me 9 months worth of money

Bought a car from/thru them on April 18, 2022 for $5950 as they advertised themselves as Salvage Reseller- a middleman to buy for you at auction from Copart auction and salvage. The car with advertised "clean" ***** title. They called me on May 4th, 2022 to tell me that "Copart" had made a mistake and that it was a salvage title, NOT a clean title. They told me I could return it to them for a refund of $5950 or just apply for a rebuilt title in Tennessee.I called the ****************** and was told that this VIN number was on a "JUNK" title and it could NEVER be rebuilt or licensed.I paid $939 to have car shipped from ******* to ********* only to find out it can never be titled or registered.I was told I could send it back to Copart in *******, but we agreed I could also send it to the Copart in *******, **.The car was towed to Copart in *******, ********* on May 6th, ****************** another $125 for the tow.I asked about a refund for the $939 I paid for towing from ******* to *******, and they told me that was "my responsibility, Buyers are responsible for paying transportation cost".I told them it was NOT a clear title and I could have bought salvage Camaro here in *******, why would I pay to ship one from *******?Then they tell me I have to wait a week for the title to be sent to Copart in *******, ** to get my refund ALTHOUGH Copart in ******* has the car on their lot.I waited a week, called Friday May 13th, the lady ****** that was handling it was out but she was "working" on it.I called back that Monday - May 16th and was told Copart in ******* had the title and that Inloher Corp mailed me a check for $5950 in a white envelope with their Inholer logo on.I want my $5950 I paid Inloher/Salvage Reseller for the car and my $939 for shipping the car to **********, **.

We issued the refund via wire for $7,044 included the original refund plus the transportation cost $939, and the $125 for transporting the vehicle back Copart. I asked the customer if he can remove the review, he said he will and he will rewrite it.
