6/2023 I paid this Company $4000 for an appraisal in hopes of refinancing a property and they sent their appraiser out he was on site about 30 minutes and then they said later that they were backing out of the deal based on the appraisal but wouldn't show me the appraisal or tell me specifically what was said. They told me they would give me a copy of the appraisal for an additional fee. Don't do business with these crooks.Business response

Good afternoon,
The borrower paid $3600 for the upfront appraisal deposit but the actual cost of the appraisal was $4000. We typically require that the borrower pay for the full cost of the appraisal before we will release the report but we have made an exception to refund the borrower's $3600.

Applied for a mortgage loan with Silver Hill Funding LLC in October 2021. As a part of the process I paid Silver Hill LLC $800 for an appraiser. The Appraiser appraised the property for an amount that was to low to satisfy the loan request. The Appraiser may have been unlicensed. All of the information regarding his license, telephone number and email address on the appraisal he signed was incorrect and could not be verified by the local regulatory agency. I refinanced with another company and the appraisal came back $700,000 more than Silver Hill's appraisal! I requested a refund of the $800 on November 21, 2021 and Silver Hill failed to reply.Business response
