    I've tried to cancel my MassageLuxe membership with the ************* location several times and the only issue holding me back is having many hours on my account. First cancellation request they offered to charge $20.00 per month to use up my hours; however, being in ******** there was supposedly an location being built that I never saw happen. So now I'm located in Virginia and the closest location is an hour in a half away. Again out of location. I called today to cancel my membership and was advised that the 24 hours would be billed out as 1 hour gift certificates that I could give away, Perfect! Just prior to cancelling LUCKILY I asked to clarify that my gift certificates would be regionally set. The branch manager at the ************* office said that the gift certificates would only be for the ************* office. I requested fine print that specifies this in the cancellation process and was provided an email. Emailed, No responses. No corporate contact to file complaint. There was no fine print specifying certificates have to be used at the ************* Location until after you start filling out the paperwork to cancel and can't return. This is unprofessional as well as unethical business practices. There was never any compromise or empathy being that I lived in a different location and could not use the membership, rather the instead being nickeled and dimed with "Freezing" or "Partial Freezing" of accounts which has cost me $20 a month for the last 6 years. I've cancelled my account and will voice to all else of the poor practices. I'm awaiting if the company takes an approach of acting in good faith to members like me. You've already made free money off of me in the amount of $20/month for 6 years equalling $1440. Since I'm being rejected the regional gift certificates then I'd like to be refunded my 24 hours worth of massages. That comes out to $48.88 per pre-paid (49 total) and the total is $2,395.12.

    Horrible! Mid December, my mom passed away unexpectedly. The following week I called to cancel her membership at massage Lux *************. I spoke with a manager. The manager, gave me her condolences and fully understood and said she would take care of it immediately. My mom had one hour credit on her account which she transferred to my account and I was told it would no longer be charged. In February when I went back from my next appointment, our massage therapist gave me a hug and couldnt believe my mom had passed. He had been notified by the girls at the front as my mom was a long time client of his. Come to find out in April he acct is still being charged. I stopped by the location last Monday and was told the new manager (the girl I spoke with was no longer there) would call me back to take care of it immediately. With no response, I stopped back by on Wednesday. I was told that there was nothing they would do. They would not issue a credit, but immediately stop charging the funds was the only option. I couldnt believe that they would not issue credit back to the card for all the chargers they had continued after I was told by their staff members that they would take care of the immediate cancellation. This is not a case of I forgot to cancel and want them to make up for it. My mom is no longer here theyre not out anything. They didnt perform any services. I didnt make any appointments, nothing. I cant believe they would actually continue to charge not follow through with their cancellation and then not reimburse for the error on their side. THIS IS THEFT
