I sawI saw Dr. Catherine ******* for a physical on 11/02/2020. I provided the office a copy of my Florida Blue Health Insurance card, as that was the ONLY health insurance I had. They billed United Health Care, as somehow that was the insurance that showed connected to me. Note- that insurance had been cancelled approx.. a year prior to this appointment and I NEVER went to the Dr. when I had them as insurance. Since that time, I have spend endless hours on the phone with their billing office- a different person every time, filed a BBB complaint (XXXXXXXX) against Florida Blue as West Florida Medical told me my health insurance was not paying the bill. Tommy ******** Executive Inquires Specialist, from Florida Blue reached out to me and after some documentation, emails back and forth I believed that on Feb. 2, 2021 the issue was resolved. Tommy had a phone conversation with the billing office, they were going to re-submit the bill and he would ensure it got paid. The last contact I had with the billing office was approx.. Oct of last year when they called for "my delinquent bill". I reviewed everything with the billing person, she said she would call Mr. ******* and get it resolved, she left me a message the next day stating it had been resolved. On 1/10/2022 I received the attached bill. Clearly, they did not send the bill directly to Florida Blue or Mr. ******* as they stated they would. AND they continued to bill United Health after the phone call with Mr. ******** I have lost MANY hours of work in attempts to resolve this matter and am highly frustrated at this time.Business response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2022/01/31) */ The billing office (Dan) called me at work today to let me know they are dissolving the $150.00 bill I filed a complaint against. I find it rude and irresponsible that they didn't reach out to you but; sadly, it doesn't surprise me. I hope they will reach out to you but if they don't; thank you for your assistance. I find the BBB an amazing agency and I'm glad you're there. Michelle *****.
