I am filing a complaint due to deceptive sales practices, mis***resentation, and refusal to provide a refund after multiple cancellation attempts. On March 2, 2025, I purchased two Vacation of a Lifetime travel packages from a ***resentative in ********* who promised we could travel anywhere we wanted for four consecutive days. I signed the contract based on these promises. When I later called to book, I discovered the offer was much more limited and did not match what was promised. We were misled into activating two Certificates for a total of $100.I called to cancel and request a refund on 3/12, 4/8, 4/10, and 4/14. I also missed a return call once and tried to reconnect multiple times. On 4/14, I finally spoke with a ***resentative named *******, who told me I was no longer eligible for a refund because requests had to be submitted in writing within 30 days of activationsomething I was never previously told by phone nor by voicemail message that was left for me. I was then transferred to a manager named ******, who confirmed this policy. When I explained that the brochure does not provide clear instructions on where to send such requests, she claimed the address was on a certificate included for activation, and all mail should go there. This was never made clear to me by the ***resentative I spoke with.I followed up in good faith, choosing to trust working with a customer ***resentative for guidance. I made multiple attempts and was treated poorly. ****** was condescending and eventually hung up on me.Its also worth noting that the ****** Act (15 U.S.C. 1125(a)) prohibits false advertising and deceptive practices. The promises made by the original sales *** directly contradict the actual offer and influenced my purchase decision.I request a full refund of $100 and that the company update its materials and training to ensure accurate, transparent communication.Business Response

I was initially informed that after completing a three-hour presentation, I would receive a voucher for a discounted hotel stay at any of the hotels offered by ETTSI. Upon completing the presentation, I received the voucher but was informed that I would need to activate it for a $100 fee, which I promptly paid.Following this, I was instructed to submit a written request for the dates and locations where I would like to vacation, with the understanding that pricing may vary depending on the time and location. However, when I requested available dates and pricing, I was told this was not an option and that I needed to select a specific date and location.Despite my repeated efforts to comply with their instructions, I encountered long delays in responses and often had to follow up via phone, only to receive vague or inconsistent information. I was eventually quoted a price of $1,200, far exceeding the initial range of $150 to $350 that was originally promised. Additionally, some of my requested locations were unavailable for the dates I selected. After a year of repeated requests and phone calls, with no resolution, I find myself without a vacation and out $100. Now, ETTSI is requesting that I submit a written request to receive a refund of the $100. However, my attempts to reach customer service have been unsuccessful, with phone calls being disconnected and emails bouncing back.Business Response

I apologize for the experience you had, and I will accept this complaint as your written request for a refund. In regards to the complaints, the pricing you see on the certificate are starting prices. This is printed in the terms and conditions. Furthermore, this a promotional offer and unfortunately we are only able to use blocks of rooms that our booking company provides us, which is why some of the dates you chose may have come back not available.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:my frustration with the difficulties Ive encountered in trying to redeem the certificate I received through ETTSIs promotion. I invested a significant amount of time and money in this process, and despite my efforts, it has become nearly impossible to use the certificate.
To recap my experience:
I attended a presentation and was told that I would receive a certificate with no obligation to purchase anything. There were cockroaches crawling on the wall at breakfast at the hotel the presentation was made.
I paid $40 to sign up for the presentation, and I later paid an additional $100 to activate the certificate.
Since then, I have tried repeatedly to redeem the certificate, but each time I was told that the options provided were the more expensive options and that they were not available for the dates and locations I requested. When I asked for a list of available dates and locations to choose from, I was continually told that I had to request specific options, which made the process very difficult.
Listen to your recorded call from 3/20/2025 at 4:33PM and listen to the way your representatives talk to your customers. I have been patient every time I called and yes I wasnt the nicest on the call, I was provoked by your condescending associate and it seems to be the same girl over and over.
Ive now spent a significant amount of time, including several hours while on vacation, trying to resolve this issue, but it has been clear that the certificate is essentially unusable due to the unreasonable limitations placed on it.
Because of these circumstances, I am requesting a full refund for the $100 I paid to activate the certificate and an additional amount for the time I wasted being promised something that was not given. Please note that I do not wish to receive a refund to the credit card I originally used, as that card has since been compromised and I have a new card number. I kindly request that the refund be issued via check and sent to my mailing address at *************************************
This situation has caused unnecessary stress and wasted my time, and I expect a resolution promptly. I would appreciate a timely response confirming that my request will be processed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,********* ******

All of these complaints you have need to be directed to the initial company that gave you this certificate. We do not run tours, nor do we serve a breakfast. ETTSI is a travel agency who fulfills the travel on the certificate. The $100 that you had paid to us for the activation fee will be returned. Please direct these additional complaints to the correct company.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:The only aspects that do not apply to your company are the tour and breakfast. However, this does not negate the fact that ETTSI has repeatedly wasted my time over the past year. Despite numerous attempts to inquire about booking my vacation and using the certificate, I was given vague and inconsistent information regarding what it covered and when it could be redeemed. Additionally, I encountered unprofessional behavior from ETTSI, including a particularly disturbing instance where a representative used inappropriate and offensive language, referring to me in an insulting manner. Given these experiences, I find the conduct of your company to be unacceptable, and I am requesting a full reimbursement and for you to take full accountability.
Sincerely,

I am writing to file a complaint against this company regarding their unprofessional and misleading business practices. I have requested a refund to be returned to my original payment method, which is my debit card. However, the company insists on issuing a check payment, which I do not trust due to their questionable business integrity. The company offers the option to receive a refund within 30 days without any penalty or obligations. Despite this, they have been dragging their feet on dispersing my funds back to me in a check in 60 Days. I prefer the money to be reversed and credited back to my debit card as soon as possible.I believe this company needs to be investigated for their lack of integrity and professionalism. I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.Business Response

I am filing this complaint due to the unsatisfactory experience with ETTSI and request the following refunds:$50 certificate activation fee.$29 stop payment fee was incurred when I had to cancel the reservation check. I also want the $149.29 fee refunded if the stop payment on the check doesn't stop them from cashing ***** husband and I participated in a timeshare presentation and were awarded two free hotel nights. We took part in a "90 minute" timeshare presentation at the *************** in ********* last April. It turned into a 4 hour very stressful and high-pressure sales pitch. In return for us attending this, we were told that we would receive a 2 night stay free of charge at a location of our choosing throughout the **** In the past several months, we have been dealing with Executive ****************************** I am not surprised to see that they have an "F" rating with the BBB. They first charged us $50 for an activation fee. Then, they said we had to mail in our requests in writing for the dates and locations of places that we would like to stay at. Over the past few months, we have picked 10 different dates including weekends and weekdays, focusing on non-peak travel periods. We have selected dates in October, January, February, March and April. Every time we mail in a date request, Executive Tour and Travel responds by email and says the dates are not available "unless we are willing to take part in another time share presentation". We refuse to go through that horrible ordeal again. We already attended a 4-hour presentation and would like to redeem our travel voucher that we were given. This company not only refuses to honor the voucher, but they also stole $50 from us! In reviewing the other complaints on this BBB website, I see we are definitely not alone.Business Response

We have made numerous written requests to this business. All of our contacts have been ignored. This business refuses to reimburse us and they will not honor the voucher that we are entitled to.
We again are requesting that they provide us with a 2 night stay at a hotel, as indicated on the voucher AND reimburse us the $50 refundable activation fee.
We have provided this business with 10 different dates and 2 locations of which we are available. The business will not honor the voucher unless we are willing to take part in a second timeshare sales presentation.

I received what was supposed to be a free two night stay at a hotel in *********. I submitted our paperwork to a company in ********** and had to pay a non-refundable $25 to receive the "certificate". Once I received the certificate from Executive Tour and Travel Services, **** (in **), I had to submit my information and pay $50, that was supposed to be refundable, to them for the ability for an agent to contact me, and did this on 6/8/24. Once I received an email to choose dates, I submitted them and talked to the agent on 6/10. I had not heard back from them for a number of days and started to try to contact them on 6/21, 6/26 and 6/27. On 6/28 I called with no answer, but called again later that day and was able to talk to an agent. They said I would be contacted by 7/8/24. On 7/10 I emailed again and called again in 7/12, to no response. On 7/17/24 I was able to contact an agent and they said there was no availability for the dates I chose and I needed to submit new dates. I did not want to go through this again and opted for requesting a refund. I was gave a certificate for "The Vacation of a lifetime" while on vacation in pigeon forge (2022) after my family and I attended a west gate timeshare presentation. I called yo activate my certificate on June 6th of this year and was told by the representative that I must pay a "refundable $50 deposit" to activate the certificate. I have been too busy with my grandpa that is on hospice, along with my 4 year old son, and work I had not had the chance to make a reservation using my certificate when I received a call a month or so later from a representative trying to get me to pay more money to keep my certificate. He told me if I didn't I would lose the certificate. I had no extra money to spend at all, not to mention the original deal was listen to the timeshare presentation get a completely FREE vacation. I asked the representative how to get the deposit I had already paid and he told me he had no idea. He went from knowing my details on file to all of the sudden he couldn't even give me my confirmation code so I could try calling someone else about it. BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
