      On the morning of September 28th 2022 the day on which hurricane *** was to hit ******* and have effects in the Palm Beach County area I called Assurance Power Systems because I realized that my power generator did not come on the night before when power went out.They charged me $295.00 for an emergency service. Their Tech came out and determined I needed a new batter and controller. They assured me that they would have my generator up and running before the end of day and in addition to the $295 emergency fee I was charged a premium for the parts and additional labor. I paid for everything and they sent another tech. I am not sure what the tech did or what parts he replaced as I was at work. Needless to say the generator is still not working and they are telling me I have to buy other parts that they do not have in stock and have to be ordered and would take a couple of days. this defeats the whole purpose of me paying for emergency service as i wanted the generator fixed in case we have power failure during the hurricane. Had they not guaranteed me that my generator would be fixed that day I would not have paid for the emergency service and would have used another service as while the Tech was there I had a call from Reliable Power Supply.I asked them to leave the old parts that they replaced and they refused. Now they are telling me that they would have to look for them. How am I to trust that they really replaced those parts as I don't have the old one to refer to.

      Assurance Power Systems installed a Generac 38KW Whole House Generator on October 4, 2021. APS also promised daily monitoring of my generator and to proactively come to repair any issues. The generator performs a self test once a week. Since October 4th the generator self test has failed 17 times. APS only responded one time based on their own monitoring of my system. I needed to catch the other 16 failures and contact APS for repair. APS has tried to repair my generator 9 times including changing the mother board and changing the sensors and other parts more than one time. The latest repair was on May 31st and the self test failed on the next day. They promised to come back to try again, but decided not to come without notice and FL will be having its first Tropical storm this weekend and I have a failed brand new generator. This company made false claims about their monitoring service and clearly have no idea how to fix and maintain a brand new generator. If this was a vehicle I would have lemon law protection. 17 failures since October 4, 2021 is clearly a defective generator. What is my recourse other than hiring an attorney to *** APS, which I guess may be my only option. APS should not be allowed to take advantage of ************* as they clearly did to me. I need assistance to correct this very expensive worthless generator.
