I visited this urgent care on December 12 to perform my annual STD preventive care. The doctors made me extremely uncomfortable and start asking questions about my life. Dispute the fact that those people violated every single ethical code, they also violated my privacy, billed my incorrectly and did not provided any tests results. I'm asking them to bill my insurance for the test results as routine vs diagnostic and provide full tests results or full visit refundBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: Good day, could you also correct my STD tests on preventative so my insurance covers it. It was stated to the doctors that I do those tests at least twice a year to prevent the issue! It was unethical for your office asking internal questions such as parter information and personal life decisions.

We looked into this matter and found that the patient was here for his STD testing. Along with the testing there are certain questions that we required to ask due to the reason for his testing. We are always sensitive to the questions that we need to ask. This is required by the state and county.
We have every patient register on our portal, this patient is active and has access to our portal. In the portal you can find your bills, your lab results and the history of your visits. The patient was also in contact with us in regards to his test. The patient was given his test results and also the results were in his portal. The patient also acknowledged in writing with us that he received his results in the portal.
As for the labs, this was also explained to the patient, we have nothing to do with the lab billing. They are sent out to the lab company and they are who bill the patient. Again, this was communicated with the patient. The patient also acknowledged the receipt of the labs. The patient would need to contact the lab and speak to their billing department to get his bill issue resolved.
I am not able to upload the labs or the written conversation with the patient as it is a HIPAA violation. Service was rendered and there is no refund. Any questions, please let us know.
Thank you

I am writing to demand a full refund for the immigration physical that I did not receive at your *************** location on 12/12/2024. I paid $550 in advance, yet no services were provided. After presenting my vaccination records, I was wrongly informed that I needed to receive every vaccine, which was clearly inaccurate. When I questioned this, I was told that I would need to pay an additional $330 for these vaccines, despite not needing them. Realizing I was being misinformed, I requested a refund and chose to go elsewhere for the exam.I did not receive any exam, procedure, or legitimate medical advice at your office. I went to another provider immediately after and received the required exam, where I only needed two vaccines. It is completely unacceptable to charge someone for services that were never rendered.I expect an immediate refund of the $550. Charging me for a service that was not provided is unethical.Business Response

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond. The patient came in on 12/12 for a immigration physical. The patient had the physical exam. After the exam, it was determined the patient required certain immunizations. This is a requirement by the government and not by us. This was explained to the patient and the total cost of what she still needed to complete the immigration paperwork. This is a very timely process and we understand the urgency for some of the patients and getting this completed. The patient decided to go somewhere else, however, we had completed our portion of the immigration physical and we were waiting on the patient. The patient will not be getting a refund.Customer Answer

I am writing to formally reject the response I received and to file a complaint regarding the unprofessional and discriminatory treatment I endured during my recent visit to your facility.
Upon arriving for my appointment, I was left alone in the room for 30 - 45 minutes while the nurse attempted to figure out what to do. During this time, I did not receive any form of medical care or attention. Instead when he did return, I was subjected to inappropriate comments and behavior by the nurse. Specifically, the nurse questioned my immigration status, suggesting that I was engaging in the process for ulterior motives. The nurse further stated, "Latinos always have an ulterior motive," which I found deeply offensive and discriminatory.
Additionally, the nurse questioned why I had waited so long to complete the required process, insinuating that my decision was somehow suspicious or dishonest. To make matters worse, I was provided with incorrect information about the medical care I would receive. After contacting immigration services directly, I confirmed that I did not need the care that was being suggested, rendering the entire consultation unnecessary.
The treatment I received was not only unprofessional but also racially charged, and I feel that my Hispanic background played a role in the way I was treated. I was made to feel inferior, belittled during the entire encounter. This behavior is unacceptable and does not align with the standards of respect and care that should be provided in any medical setting.
I request that this matter be thoroughly investigated, and I expect a prompt and serious response to address the inappropriate conduct I experienced

On November th 22nd, 2024 Dr *** Urgent Care committed ) first over the phone and then in person_ to handle all the medical examinations and required vaccinations required to start the green card application. The price quote was 850 dollars. They also advertise that they are a Spanish-speaking clinic; we chose them because my wife does not speak English well. Despite the promise of a quick turnaround Since November the 22nd, we haven't heard anything. We called twice and they said we needed to call back again. Today, they finally informed us that the agreed price does not include vaccinations and that this additional 450 dollars is on us. They delivered a poor service, with zero communication and they did not said the truth about the services included in the agreed price.Customer Answer

I got a bill from this place recently saying I had an outstanding bill from over 4 years ago. I had never heard from them before, but they had information that looked like mine in a document they sent me. Since the alleged visit was so long ago, I couldn't verify if I had ever actually gone, or if I had paid. I paid the bill, because I'm not the type to leave bills unpaid, but I can't help but feel scammed. The person I was discussing the bill with had some snarky jibs like "It seems to me that the late fee being dropped for you is an inconvenience, which we can resolve very quickly" when I commented why is there no late fee if I have owed this bill for 4 years? Overall, I would just be careful of this place. If you visit, they might come chasing you years later with some testy attitude if you question their validity.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Patient had an outstanding balance of $80.00. His insurance did not cover. We sent the patient several invoices and we did not hear anything back from the patient? The patient had ************** of which we submitted to his insurance and they stated patient responsibility. Therefore, the patient was billed again. The patient has since then paid his balance and currently has a $0.00 balance.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Business did not send invoices or otherwise notify of outstanding balance for over 4 years. If business had done so, the balance would have been paid and would not have been outstanding for 4 years. The business only notified of outstanding balance after 4 years, leaving it impossible for me to verify whether the outstanding balance was legitimate. This is extremely poor practice and borderline predatorial, considering this outstanding balance very well may have been an error, in the same way their lack of timely notification was an error. Business also communicated unprofessionally and condescendingly when questioned on the facts of the situation. Future customers should be cautioned against this business' practices and fidelity.
Sincerely,

I went to Dr.G urgent care located in ************* on July 13, 2024. I was told my copay due (in order to be seen) was $140. I informed the young lady my copay for urgent cares are $45 and for ER $150. She stated that is what is showing up on her monitor. Obviously, I was not feeling well which is why I was at the Urgent care to begin with so did not have the energy to "debate" this copay I was being told is due. I fully understand they have everyone sign a "no refund" document which states "no refunds for services not rendered for any visits or for any unused funds at a visit already paid". I would like to point out, I am not asking for a refund for services not rendered or unused funds. I am asking for a refund on the overpayment due to an error on YOUR office's end which ran my insurance and stated my copay was $140 when in fact is was $45. Your no refund policy does not cover or state it applies to errors made on YOUR behalf. The care and people at this location were polite but unfortunately, I will not recommend this urgent care to family/friends.Business Response

Good afternoon and thank you for the opportunity to respond to the patients complaint. This patient was seen on 7-13-2024 and we verified the patients insurance to confirm that it is active, did they meet the deductible and what is the copay. The employee followed our procedure and verified the patients insurance. On this particular day, the insurance verification showed the patient had not met the deductible. The front desk employee proceeded to collect the deductible amount, per our contracted rate with the patients insurance company. The employee did not make an error and followed our procedure and collected the correct amount. I have also attached the insurance verification from the date of the patients visit in order to show what we look at and what we see. I have also attached the no refund policy which the patient did sign. If there is any other questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you again.Initial Complaint

On 01/05/2024, I went to Dr.G's Urgent Care on ********** Trail in ***************, ** to get a checkup because I was sick and needed a doctor's note to be excused from work without penalty. I provided my medical insurance and gave all my information, and I wanted to pay that day but the receptionist told me that I would receive an invoice if I did owe anything ( I was not sure if it would be completely covered or not ). I never received any email or message about an invoice so I assumed I was covered completely, until today 08/16/2024. I received a text message saying I had an outstanding balance of $171, and I clicked the link to see a late fee of $50 attached to my deductible of $121. When I called the billing department of Dr.G's Urgent Care, I told them this was the first invoice I received and questioned how I would have a late fee. After checking, the lady told me that I had opened the invoice 83 times and that they had sent it to the incorrect email (Instead of ************************ they sent it to ************************** I told the lady that is not the correct email, and after checking with her manager they said they would not waive the late fee even though it was an error on their part. So not only did they send the invoice to the incorrect email, they potentially released sensitive information to an unknown email that I do not control. I am asking for the BBB to step in and have them waive the late fee as it makes no sense how I would even know or be able to pay if it was never sent to me until 8 months later through message. Why would they not send it to message and email? They are a very sketchy business full of 1 star reviews about people being scammed as I am today. Please protect consumers.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the patient complaint. The patient was seen in our location on 1/17/2024. Part of our check in process is the patient registers themselves on our kiosk with their demographics, phone number, date of birth along with their email address. This is exactly what the patient did and apparently he put in his wrong email address. He was sent his first invoice 2/4/2024, after we received the *** from his insurance company, the patients also receive the *** from their insurance company, stating that the visit went towards his deductible. We also text our patients with the link to make the payment. Of which was sent to him and he can also view his invoice via the link. It has been over 6 months that the patient has yet to pay his bill and a late fee has been added on. The patient still has an unpaid balance which he is refusing to pay. Services were rendered and the payment is still due!Business Response

Visit to ************ Dr. ** Urgent Care on March 3, 2024 I visited and gave my insurance information. The front desk said my insurance was inactive. I mentioned that my insurance is active and verified that with my insurance before being seen by Dr. **. I paid the $150 self pay price and because I was told and suggested that it can be resolved later on. My insurance verified that my insurance is and was active. I spoke to Dr ** urgent care billing department and they said there is a no refund policy and that I can speak with Asia to further the discussion. I called later and was told Asia is no longer in the department. Also I was told there is no grievance or appeal department that I can contact. I dont know what to do next because I was overcharged and I am given no further explanation or help.Business Response
